Can anyone take a picture or give me some rough measurements of clearance from the header pipe/flange to the fuel lines on the passenger frame? Thanks in advance!

Finally had time to get under the truck and look. There is a engine to transmission stiffener/gusset that the starter goes through. Then the starter bolts bolts through the rear of the bellhousing and threads into the starter. It may work with just shorter bolts to secure the starter to the stiffener bracket but leaves the two bolts taking that secure the bracket to engine block to take all the load.

offtopic, can you take pictures of the injector nozzle/tips?

Starter bolts to the engine block and not the bellhousing. Without the transmission, nothing will prevent the engine from rocking front to back.

Not sure what happened with that post. I was trying to confirm if all I needed was to just attach the transmission bellhousing so I could attach the starter to start the motor. I am trying to see if the motor works before investing in a new transmission.

I'll see if I can get some free time and hit up the shop after work and get a head start and look.

I have no idea how much fuel is left in the gas tank or if I did anything to prevent it from rusting out internally. What is the best way to inspect the gas tank and drain it fully? Isn't there a drain plug for the gas tank?

Curious for an update. Did you ever check your battery? Maybe it has a bad cell or two. Enough juice to crank it but not enough to start?

^^ is correct. 4 bolts and rubber butyl. I heated it up enough to slide a guitar cord through and sawed away.

What axle did you use? How does it ride with shackles up front?

Mud is fun but I dreaded cleaning it. LOL. I don't know who all is left with Pathfinders around the area but you could try hooking up with the Houston 4x4 locals as well as those up in your neck of the woods.

You would be running two different sets of wheels and lug nuts due to different bolt and thread patterns. No locking hubs. steering may be an issue if depending on how you lift your truck do to steering linkage configuration. Also the Pathfinder is a hefty pig compared to the jeeps I would think so durability may be an issue. I also do not know what the gear ratios in the D30s that you would have to find to match your pathfinder. Also, you can find d30s for next to nothing so if they break you could just replace the whole axle and scrap the old. Again, I'm not all too familiar with the dana30s so take my advice with caution and do your research.

The tcm is separate from the ecu. You will probably need to check the wiring and see if yours is a 3 speed or 4 speed. I'm not familiar with the older model pathfinder transmission. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
