  1. my buddy had a 93? SE(ok I know it was a 4 door) One day He said all the locks were worn and you could prolly get in@ it w/ any key. So I tried it. My 89 key whould open and start his but his WOULD NOT do the same for mine.
  2. CA actaully gave me my tax return (no more IOU) so a set of lower links should be no Problem! I'll have my order in on the 15th (payday)
  3. I don't know what the problem is but I do have a spare t-case, It needs new seals which I could do for your (I just did one, seals cost 70usd & only takes a few hours) so If you wind up needing a new one make an offer.
  4. I have done this, It works great! before the mod I back probed my shockets with lights running(as reccomended @ danilesternlighting.com) and got low 11.x's. thats nearly 2.5v drop from the bulbs rated amount. My alty was failing and was actually putting out 14v @ the time so thats a 3v drop total. after the mod both bulbs read 14v (amost 0 voltage drop). I used new 400F rated sockets with 14ga wire and 12ga direct grounds. I used a hella double relay one side for hi and one side for low. My PIAA ultra whites where much brighter after that, possibly brighter than a pathy w/ hid setup. even aftery my alty took out my PIAA's and I went to some $11 yellow bulbs (till I fixed the alty) those $11 bulbs seem brighter than I ever remeber the wires being with the PIAAs installed.
  5. the knock sensor is in the cyl valley underneath your lower intake manifold. expect a day or more of down time if you plan on changining it and mark all your vaccum lines so you put them back right.
  6. something like this could be improvised... LINKY
  7. Some things to consider; I just did a rear disc conversion (kept the stock MC) and the pedal feels allot firmer, my stopping is much better too. you can also swich to braided steel brakelines that don't expand like your stock rubber ones do when you hit the pedal.
  8. HID's in hallogen reflectors are unsafe, they blind other divers and don't direct enough light where you need it. You can learn more @ DanielSternLighting.com
  9. I use midgrade as well because I get sligthly better MPG from it I also have my base timing advanced 3 deg for the higher octane. but 87 should work fine. also if you fill @ half or more than half full you will see better mpg because there is less empty volume for the gas to vapoize too; 21 gallon tank offers allot of volume to vaporize (waste)gas.
  10. so who's gonna get the ball rolling for d21 and r50 aplications?
  11. tha'd be pretty neat for a wd21 too!
  12. I think a mod took it away for viewing ease. I'm sure there will be no problem if you re-post it as long as it is smaller.
  13. when I did my Manual hub sawp my autos were installed with .047 clips. the clips that the donor vehicle (HB with factory manuals) were .052 or .054 IIRC. I wound up using staying with the thinner ones because I couldn't get the thicker ones on. even then I stuck a screwdriver in the groove to keep it exposed long enough to get the ring on.
  14. could you scale down your sig pic please?
  15. How do you figure? a hub can be done wheel in place its just 6 allen bolts and a snap ring.(allen key and snapring Pliers) If I'm not mistaken to change a cv theres a bit more that needs to come off(wheel, hub, ball joint...) not to mention what damage it could do if it flops arround after it breaks.(now you'll also need a jack, lug wrench, sockets....)
  16. I would venture to guess that the CV would loose to an out of the box warn hub. but still I think the upgrade to "beakable" spline rings (part of a warn hub) is a decent Idea and I think they are only 5 or 10 bucks each.
  17. if this is a concern of yours then buy the replacement spine rings from Warn that are designed to break before you cv does. the ring can be changed in 5 min or even diven broken (In 2wd) versus dealing with a broken cv on the trail.
  18. !?!? My guess would me to be damn sure the crank is @ #1 tdc but that seems sketchy to me...
  19. seems to be a trend... does rancho have poor quality control? I been thinking about the rs9000 because I want a soft ride but I wonder who else offers a quality "soft" or ajustable shock for a lifted pathfinder.
  20. IMO cherry bomb = not good sound for pathfinder I've not seen it done but I imagine the ugly resonance given on many other vehcles just wouldn't suit a pathy.
  21. From my Nissan PDF Total teeth on belt 133 NUBER OF TEETH BETWEEN TIMING MARKS; Between LH & RH camshaft sprockets 40 Between LH camshaft sprocket and crankshaft timing sprocket 43 does your belt not have alignment marks on it?
  22. x2 on take the alignment shims out
  23. from my Nissan PDF manual; Standard 173 PSI Minimum 128 PSI Difference limit between cyl 14 PSI
  24. well borla does make a 2.5" catback for the w/d21 but IMO thats a little too big. But if good sound is your goal then that would do it. Imo best bang for the buck wold be to weld in a 2.25 magnaflow with all 2 or 2.25" pipe
  25. this could turn out pretty cool and unique! you'll defantuely be set apart from the SAS crowd, be sure to post your total chaos progress if you get into it.
