does anybody know the beakway torque for the 300zx r200 LSD?
-
My MT lasted about 180k B4 dad had it replaced. It had never been filled to 5.4L as per the nissan TSB so that may have contributed to it. At the time (2005) I had cost $2k to have the clutch and tranny swapped for new. This new one has over 40k on it and 20k follwing the TSB, It sould last a long time...

You can also use a late 80's 240zx or 300zx module and coil. They provide a hotter spark which may be worth an extra MPG.

Thanks for the correction, I just dug up an e-mail from calmini stating "wd21 3" lift spring has about a 15% increased spring rate" so 160+15%= 174
-
Yes but these are the XJ-C LIFT SPRINGS from Rough Country Suspensions (picture added to original post)

well after a long time I decided to get moving on my 3" SL. This will focus on my coil springs since there will be noting differant about my Calmini UCA's other than powdercoating my spare set of uca spindles to put them on and adding zerks. I had looked @ all the "Pathfineder" spring options, JGC, F100, Aftermarket foreign and domestic. They all offer a stiffer spring rate. I wanted something differant, closer to the stock rate but taller. I had previously used xj cherkee springs to repace my saging stock springs so I looked into XJ 3" lift springs. Getting into details here what I found; Rough Country XJ-C (XJ-Cherokee) 3" lift springs 19" tall 150 lbs/in Nissan Pathfinder Stock spings were about 16" and about 160 lbs/in Calmini 3" Lift sping 15% increased spring rate 175 lbs/in 4x4 parts 3" lift spring "20% increased spring rate" 190 lbs/in JGC and F100 obvously stiffer I didn't research any more Well to cut to the chase, today I cut the pigtails off and took some upper OEM isolators and modified them to fit the lower perches. I wanted to see if I had opened up the hole in the rubber enough to fit the lower perch so I jacked it up and dropped the passenger spring. it fit snug so I could opened it more but I wanted to see how the spring sat on it, I grabbed the spring (the new one lol), unbolted the shock and e-brake and stuffed it in. Geat fit! Before I knew it I was putting the panhard rod back on and the rear of my pathy was just over 3" taller. with setteling I imagine the will be right @ 3" lift. WTF? I thought I was gonna wait for my UCA's to come in. When I got the XJ-C's I noticed the wire was thicker, I called RC and double checked the stats. I guess with a longer wire it has to be thicker to maintain the same spring-rate. they still compressed 1" (marked on a wall)under my weight (150lbs)just like the stock ones so they had to be in the right ball park. they are softer, we'll see if if I like it or if I fgure out why all the other options are stiffer. I'm gonna wait till my UCA's come in b4 I level out the front. Then maybe I'll take some PIX(its too dark now) FYI NEW XJ-C's cost less ($100-$120 shipped on ebay or $120 from RC) than all the other NEW Aftermaket springs I looked at.

HELP! how important is it to have the rear bumpstops?
MY1PATH replied to FUELER's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
yes and no. the heat is helping break loose the corrosion or dirt casuing it to seize. and were talking propane torch hot not welding torch hot. its not going to expand so much that it binds. I would try to keep the spring isolators on. it stops the spring from chafing the perch which can lead to exposed metal.... -
I would bolt the ground under the horn tabs for the time being. later on you can run a battery ground to the same bolt to improve you horn and your lights.

MY1PATH replied to FUELER's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
did you try a needle nose? you will be safe so long as you don't bottom out. avoid potholes and take it easy on speed bumps. -
It was either google or somone on N4W mentioned it, I found N4W by google so guess its the same. I like it here better.
-
your 31x10.5's are prolly on 15x7 rims if your spare rim is also 15x7 then yes you can.
-
nope, cause I doubt my pathy would run very well @ 10BTDC, which is where it would be if the first makre was 5ADC

700 Mi from seatlle to san francisco (1400 round trip) done that a few times. and when I was growing up we used to take the pathy from San Francisco to LA once or twice a year. so its been on allot of 8+ hour drives in its early years and a few 12-14+ hour drives in its older age. but when post #1 says 24hours; thats a tough act to follow -
you won't need to change your ratios. they may or may not be differant bit it will not effect your swap. If you want to know there should be a data plate under the hood and its last line will read somthing like; "HG43" = 4.3:1 GEARS or "HG46" = 4.6:1 GEARS

thats good to know! I saw a buick once that kept having issues because you were supposed to turn over the engine bakwards after installing the pump to prime it. WTF!? lame design.

Insurance...did you telle them about your modifs..
MY1PATH replied to fleurys's topic in General Forums
My insureance company(USAA) said the can have my insureance re-evaluated for "investments" like a new engine, new paint, new wheels(but not tires) to increase the coverage value of the vehcle should theft or accident occur. I currently only carry liabily on my pathy but when the motor goes in, so will the coverage. -
can you get a re-man one for about half that? thats what I wound up doing when mine leaked. (mine was an 89) I looked arround for a kit to re-build mine, I figured if somone can reman it somone else had to make parts for it but I had no luck in my search.
-
UM, they still make and sell those if I'm not mistaken. so def- more common than the factory light bar.
-
my 89 xe "sport package" (puchased in DEC 1989) came with the following as part of the package 31" general grabber ATs 15x7 American Racing Outlaw II rims LSD it also had the following which I do not think had anything to do w/ the package @ the time. 4.3 gears (with a speedo for 4.6) Rear Drums(maybe disc wasn't offerd till 90's {but I got em now!!!})
-
Don't know about the quest/villager(guessing they wouldn't change it for just 1 out of 5 veches) but the others fit the motor mounts fine.
-
so it was 9o'clock then? No problem just pass it on the next time somone needs to know what you already do.
