  1. Yea, read the post...that royally sucks man. Sorry they jacked you guys around. All the Calmini stuff I bought, is used, and has been previously installed on another rig. I am fully capable of modding the UCA's, and plan to do so if they are not already done. I will either build me a HooHaa style system myself, or just cough up the funds to support his. Either way, I do not foresee going straight axle with this rig, as my time is ate up with work, and it is a daily driver after all...(Oh and the wife already hates climbing into it, thinks it is just too high....and its not even lifted YET!)
  2. Wow that is strange. There is not a single d21 in the local yards, so a used one is going to either be an ebay item (which is a guessing game)...or a new one from a place like jc whitney...but they dont seem to have em either. Thanks Hardison, I will check ebay again as well... That fabric material under the carpet is poor insulation. Mine did the same thing. I pulled the carpet to run wire, and the stuff just fell apart. I did not replace it, and I regret it.
  3. Dang it B! Why didnt you tell me about this!!! Arrrgggghhh...now until my Calmini stuff arrives, I am going to be worried about the quality and safety...dang.
  4. So you were technically running two mufflers on one line, or did I mis read? Bet that was interesting...
  5. The converter is after that, this is a mini little fellow compared to the cat. And the tuner exhaust...man, I would probably stop you for that...haha
  6. Okay, I went out into the parking lot and took a quick cell phone pic...of what I now believe to be the resonator...
  7. I am about to have to replace all of my exhaust as well...(its still factory, and finally wore out.) Where I live there is no smog law, so I am either going to gut my cat or get a good quality high flow. Trying to find a video or sound clip of a path with a 40 or 60 series Flowmaster, youtube isnt producing much of anything. Does anyone know what the dang small cat looking thing is BEFORE the actual cat on the MOTOR side of the exhaust?
  8. Just finished a little bit of a write up on this issue with my pathy. Nothing major, but may shed some light. http://www.torymoore.com/pathfinder/efan.html
  9. I have used dynamat and the roofing material both... I gotta say, I was kicking myself when I used the roofing material, after spending so dang much on dynamat in my blazer, but that was the "car audio" side of me. I have not yet done my pathfinder, (and I should have when I had all the plastic and carpet out during the strobe/LED install...gah) but hope that it will fix at least some of the horrible road noise. Anyone ever replaced the door seals? Seems that my firewall and front door seals are leaking the worst at highway speeds...havent dug too deep into it, but I do know that Nissan wants my left leg and some of my brain in exchange for the seals. Cheaper alternative?
  10. Yea B, what are you talking about? I just bought a Calmini brace!!! Uh oh!!!
  11. Anyone know where to get the sunroof gasket? Mine leaks from time to time. Nissan laughed at me, when I asked about it, said "good luck." Disheartening...I guess I could weld up the hole...haha
  12. Think its time to re index mine...the front is sagging like crazy...
  13. Ive got broken stud issues on my cat...leaks like crazy. I feel your pain! Anyone know what the first little cat looking unit is before the actual cat is? Is it a pre muffler or another some sort of cat?
  14. Rancho does make an incredible product, and that in cab adjustment simply rocks. However I must agree, the Procomp stuff is worth its weight. I had a complete RC lift with shocks, and replaced the shocks with some gabriel ultra's just because I did not like the way the RC shocks acted. Its a preference thing. Ebay has a complete set of Procomp shocks for lifted pathy's (2 to 4 inch lift) for $145 shipped. Thought about doing that, or going the Gabriel route again.... Good luck.
  15. I ran into a similar problem, and it turned out to be the "idle up" portion of the AC system. Loose/dirty connection fixed it. Cannot remember the technical name of that circuit, but hey its 0600 and I'm dreading work...
  16. Okay, great thread. But I have looked all over the place and have not came up with a viable solution. I am sure people have done this...but how? My question is simple. I am wanting to put an aftermarket coolant temp gauge in, because I simply do not trust my factory... Where was it hooked, and how was it effectively done? What I mean is none of the SAE fittings included in the mechanical temp sender kits will work, and too many adapters, and T's will move the sensor lead away from the place it needs to be... Any thoughts?

    Gps

Cant afford all that extra "plan" required just to have one...LOL!!!

Yep, the black pipe is awesome. I have a RAM mount in my patrol car, and built a base that is attached to my hump in the pathy. That way I can easily swap the tray between vics. As for another GPS idea, I have used a HP IPAQ with Mapopolis software. It works great, and is portable...so you can take it with you... Here is a picture of the ipaq mounted in a suction cup window mount (ebay) from a while back, its blurry, but hey it was a cell phone pic at highway speeds...lol

Panasonic Toughbook!! It is a chunk of change to buy a new a new one, but they can be scored on ebay for cheap. Most of them have built in GPS and the software is readily available for off road navigation. I have used the same setup in my patrol car for a while now, and it serves well. Another cool thing to use is google earth. Punch in your coordinates, or if you have a GPS puck, it will automatically show your location. With that you get kind of a birds eye view of the terrain, etc. As well as navigation. As for a mount for a laptop, they don't make one for our trucks. The newer ones yes, but not the WD21's and older. I am in the process of making one, but working so much I have not had a chance to finish it.
  20. Thanks for the advice. Don't intend to take it to Moab or anything, lol. I do understand, as I wheeled a few 4wd S10's and ran into the same problems. the ultimate fix...SAS!!!
  21. Diesel! Awesome. I have yet to see one in the states...does anyone in the US have a Terrano?
  22. I agree with B, cant remember the guys name, but he seemed to be pretty knowledgeable. Hook up with him, and maybe together you can take care of business...Are there Autozone stores there?
  23. Could not find them any way I tried on the site listed (ruggedrocks) only the calmini's are there. Going to hit the local off road shop and have a chat with the owner...he is a buddy of mine...maybe he can help.
  24. Been trying to find a set of the RC/SL arms for a while. Nobody has em anymore....discontinued maybe?
