  1. Yea, have seen manifolds for uber cheap. $30 $40 bucks on ebay. Dont know if they are OEM or not... I am in the same boat, thinking about going with headers instead of replacing the manifolds... Daggum money pit. LOL
  2. Try air shocks...they will go either way you want...lift it a little bit, or level it up. I have them on mine, from a full size Chevy. Had to do some mods to get them to work, but that is relatively easy. They were 20 bucks cheaper than the Nissan specific air shocks as well, and carry a lifetime warranty... It doesnt sag with a full tank of gas anymore...lol Airshock mod information available here
  3. Im with you! I put in a set of calmini UCA's and I agree, I do not know where the 3 inch lift comes from... Then I re indexed my t bars, and wow. Explained to the alignment guy what I did and he adjusted the camber accordingly. I do understand what you are talking about...because with mine cranked up, the wear and tear will be increased dramatically... BEsides if you can really get the OME springs for $75, right on. That is cheap!
  4. Okay, here are some pics...There is no "drop in" option for the truck side of these. The glass side is fine...
  5. Let me re-phrase that... It is only unlimited to the one who will go the distance... (What I mean is with a little bit of research and some homework, a lift can be fabbed for much less than the cost of a kit from mostly junk yard parts.) And reading your signiture, I would assume you have been there done that... As for aftermarket, you are correct. However...one could just as easily do a JGC swap, with a set of UCA's and be good to go with 3 to 4 inches of lift. But just to level it up, your on the right path. Was not trying to start a fire here, I guess I did not fully understand the post.
  6. I guess I should explain... Being used to full size axles, and using different methods of traction gaining devices from high dollar (ARB, Detroit) to low end (Welding up the spiders!) I had to ask... I know that the CV axles probably could not handle the excess force that would be exerted, but that is fixed by using the breakable warn hub internals...designed to fail before the axle does... Just looking at different IFS options...
  7. Interesting. Anyone here ever welded up their front diff? Using manual hubs of course...
  8. I do not have any experience with the OME springs, but my question is why spend the money on them when you have an unlimited amount of choices for a lot less money? To each his own, just thought I would ask.
  9. Yea man no joke...safety first! (but beer does tend to make even the safest, retarded.)
  10. Mine are height adjusting as well...ratcheting would be cool...
  11. I do like the idea of having two separate motors, but I am serious, the Taurus fan really does an excellent job of keeping my truck cool. The only thing is it sucks the juice something fierce.
  12. What I meant was the "aftermarket" struts I purchased from AZ are not just drop in. I am going to have to use some of the old factory hardware to mount them. I hate it when the dang glass comes back down and pops me in the head...one of these days when I am wearing kevlar it will shatter the thing and then what...I am SOL!
  13. Dude that new grille is wicked with those driving lights in it. NEVER seen one like it...unique.
  14. Will have to take some pictures...they have been in a drawer of the tool box for a while now...lol
  15. I don't see why not. It will still be doing the same thing.
  16. Dang no pep boys around here...
  17. That sucker has saved my butt a few times...I drive with my lights on a lot when other's don't...heheheh. Thought about getting a unit from JC whitney that auto turns em on and off...
  18. Sorry to hear it brother, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Best of luck on your endeavors and come back anytime...(That's kinda funny considering I haven't been here all that long myself...)
  19. Yep, they work. I sell em all the time when I doin the part time gig at AZ. Simple, yet spendy...dang freon went through the roof!
  20. Thought about doing the very same thing, as the factory wiring is not designed to handle the current we demand...got me thinking...but its late and I am tired...lol
  21. All of the above for mine...has been running great since.
  22. This is a pretty cool idea. I don't mind t bars...they are a tried and true design. But the coil over design is awesome, and easier to field repair (depends on how you look at it...)
  23. I hate my autos. They have a mind of their own, and engage and disengage at will. (In 2wd) Hard body hubs are going to be swapped in...if I can find the right set...with the right spline count...or some CV axles and hubs that match... I had a set of Mile Markers on a jeep years back, they were $100 cheaper than warn and I never had an issue...(welded front diff) They make em, I think 4x4 parts has them for $100 or so. Not a bad deal.
  24. Freakin awesome!! You da man!
