Interesting. Anyone here ever welded up their front diff? Using manual hubs of course...

I do not have any experience with the OME springs, but my question is why spend the money on them when you have an unlimited amount of choices for a lot less money? To each his own, just thought I would ask.

Yea man no joke...safety first! (but beer does tend to make even the safest, retarded.) -
Mine are height adjusting as well...ratcheting would be cool...

swapping maxima dual cooling fan to pathfinder?
tmoore4512 replied to ahardb0dy's topic in General Forums
I do like the idea of having two separate motors, but I am serious, the Taurus fan really does an excellent job of keeping my truck cool. The only thing is it sucks the juice something fierce. -
What I meant was the "aftermarket" struts I purchased from AZ are not just drop in. I am going to have to use some of the old factory hardware to mount them. I hate it when the dang glass comes back down and pops me in the head...one of these days when I am wearing kevlar it will shatter the thing and then what...I am SOL!

K&N or similiar air filter onto MAF question
tmoore4512 replied to ahardb0dy's topic in General Forums
I don't see why not. It will still be doing the same thing. -
Dang no pep boys around here...
-
That sucker has saved my butt a few times...I drive with my lights on a lot when other's don't...heheheh. Thought about getting a unit from JC whitney that auto turns em on and off...
-
Sorry to hear it brother, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Best of luck on your endeavors and come back anytime...(That's kinda funny considering I haven't been here all that long myself...)
-
Yep, they work. I sell em all the time when I doin the part time gig at AZ. Simple, yet spendy...dang freon went through the roof!
-
Thought about doing the very same thing, as the factory wiring is not designed to handle the current we demand...got me thinking...but its late and I am tired...lol
-
All of the above for mine...has been running great since.
-
This is a pretty cool idea. I don't mind t bars...they are a tried and true design. But the coil over design is awesome, and easier to field repair (depends on how you look at it...)
-
I hate my autos. They have a mind of their own, and engage and disengage at will. (In 2wd) Hard body hubs are going to be swapped in...if I can find the right set...with the right spline count...or some CV axles and hubs that match... I had a set of Mile Markers on a jeep years back, they were $100 cheaper than warn and I never had an issue...(welded front diff) They make em, I think 4x4 parts has them for $100 or so. Not a bad deal.

Freakin awesome!! You da man!

Red we musta been typing away at the same time...lol

Clutch fan works off of temperature. With your AC on the evap coil in front of the radiator will be exchanging heat and the clutch should engage based on the temp level it is designed to do so at...(hope that made sense.) The rear glass or the rear hatch (complete door)? The tire carrier has a sensor located next to the latch assembly... There is a sensor on the rear door as well. IIRC it is inside the latch assembly, accessible only by removing the panel. Been a while since I had mine apart, maybe someone else can chime in...
-
Multiple reasons bro, the main one being that the auto hubs are junk. 99% do not work in reverse because it disengages the lock. It also is notorious about engaging/disengaging as you drive down the road, all the while turning the front diff and the t case. Long story short the last thing is gas mileage...if all that other stuff is not turning when you do not want it to, then your motor does not have to work so hard... Okay its late, if I missed something...guys feel free to add.

Dude thats a wicked idea with the console...too bad I already chopped mine in half. That price of the Taurus fan is DIRT CHEAP. Get on that! If you did not want it, I KNOW someone else here will double your money.
-
Have not tried the WD40 idea...but the goo gone works...Tuesday I will talk to my tint guy and ask him how he does it...(and maybe get him to do my truck!!)

K&N or similiar air filter onto MAF question
tmoore4512 replied to ahardb0dy's topic in General Forums
Yep you bought the right mount. Works good! And I have no freakin clue why Nissan did that with the tube in the last pic. I thought the VERY SAME THING when I pulled it out...Simple and easy...makes it that much better when you do it, and not have to offload your whole paycheck.... -
I have often pondered the same thing as my console eliminated the e brake completely. Not that I would use it all the time...but it would be nice to have...
