  1. I used the Chevy air shocks because I needed a longer shock to accommodate the lift in the rear...and to have extra shock for more articulation. Did some hunting in order to find the right length, and the Chevy was what I needed, and it worked like a charm. Gabriel manufactures a set of air shocks designed specifically for the Pathfinder, but it was $20 more than the Chevrolet shocks, and they were factory length.
  2. I bought me a set of the MM hubs as well...have used Warn and MM both, Warn is great product but I think they like their stuff too much (spendy) and I know you get what you pay for, but I have had ZERO issues with the MM hubs I have used in the past, so I am hoping it is the same on my Pathfinder. We shall see...
  3. Gotta disagree...the lego's are heavy as crap compared to my Frontier steelies... I am waiting on my wheels to get here, then going to put some 33's on there...then cry when my mpg's fall through the floor...but she will be the tallest pathfinder in my area...lol Anyone lookin for some legos? LOL I have four ready to go.
  4. 30 bucks? I thought Hardbody posted that it was 61 and change...? Besides, if I go through water, it is not deep enough to get to the point where it would enter the cabin...and if it did...I would be more worried about hydro locking my motor than anything else...
  5. I removed my stock shroud and mounted the taurus fan right to the radiator...it worked perfectly with minor trimming on the taurus shroud towards the bottom. Taurus E-Fan install That link sort of is a write up about it. Kind of lacking, but I did it forever ago. It does show some pictures of the finished install.
  6. All I did when I swapped consoles is remove the factory fog light switch, and splice a fused 12v source into the side that goes out to the fog light relay. Now I can run the fog lights any time, lights on or not. Works pretty good.
  7. I had the same issues on most of my vics when I lived in Wenatchee, and the Seattle area. Surprisingly when I lived in the Yakima valley no rust issues...weird. I have rust on my window trim, and on my hood where the body shop did a poopy job of painting it...
  8. Hmmmm, how thick steel did you use? I have made several bumpers, jeep and chevy stuff mostly...When I install the BL, I will have the factory bumper off, and can get a better idea of what it is going to take...
  9. I am going to have to replace all of my exhaust, when I do it, if the stuff is not too badly rusted out, I will cut the flanges off of my cat and hook you up.
  10. Love the profile pic...lol

  11. Any issues after the fact? I have read about people having the headers crack, gaskets go...etc. Also, the crossover pipe, did it clear? Any gains in MPG's? Seriously considering doing this, as my manifolds are shot...
  12. Heheh, good stuff. I just recently did the same thing. The link is in my profile. Air shocks are awesome, aren't they!!
  13. Yes, the shocks perform very well, they actually feed each other...when you articulate the rear axle, the one that is collapsed will force the air in the other...kind of hard to explain, but it works. And the ride is great as well. Not to mention that if you wanted to haul something, its simple as adding some air to take care of the load.
  14. Okay guys, so the Doug Thorley's are apparently no longer available... Pacesetter is it...anyone use them? Worth it? Fitment problems?
  15. Too bad there is a bumper law here...and how much of a hypocrite would I be to remove the front bumper and ride around? Yea, I hate that crap... Thinking about building me a bumper that is really a bumper...not a piece of junk that won't help with a front impact... Have a winch lying in the shed, thought about sporting that...but with the weight of a bumper and a winch, wow the IFS would suffer for sure...
  16. Yes there is an edit button, isn't there...lol Do you have a cat on your truck with the 40 series? I have been eyeballing the 50 series delta for some time now, not 100% on if I want to drop 100 bones on it or not, but we shall see... In all the video's I have watched with the 50, it is not near as raspy or "loud" so to speak. FM's site says the 50 is designed to be quieter inside and out without losing any of the torque and hp gains. Would work for me...and I guess if I do it, I can make a video myself for the next guy who wants to do the same thing.
  17. I am in the process of doing this as well...just scored my relays tonight at the part time job, (we hadn't had any in stock in over a month.) Also picked up some high temp 9004/9007 sockets, just need to replenish my split loom supply, and get some more wire. Anybody swapped their 9004's for 9007's? They are identical with the exception of the 07 is a 55/65 watt unit where the 04 is a 55/60 watt. The other night, in the middle of the sticks fishing with my brother in law, I had major issues seeing with the factory setup...and again 88 comes to the rescue. Hope to have this knocked out tomorrow night...
  18. Interco makes some great tires...they just simply don't last long on pavement...
  19. Thanks 87. I threw it together because I needed to be able to host email's and pic/videos for both my wife and I. (She takes a TON of both.) People poke fun because it is my name as the address, but hey, it was available and why not!? Hahaha. Yes, 31 10.50's probably some of the better tires I have ever owned. Sport King A/T's. Cannot seem to find them anymore, people quit carrying them. (They have close to 60K on em, and still have good tread.) Whenever I get time to install the BL, then I will be putting 33's on it. We will see how much trimming is required!!!
  20. dang it...mis spelled QUIETER. Sorry.
  21. LMAO that is hilarious... I guess what I meant by flow is that it needs to be able to put out as much air as it is taking in... Most people install an intake and do nothing with the exhaust which defeats the purpose of the intake... If you cannot match the output to the input it is meaningless. So if it has to be louder, cool. If I can get away with it being quiter but still flowing even better... Hell it already stands out like a sore thumb lifted...might as well put some straight pipes under it... So much for going incognito around town...hahaha
  22. Okay...FINALLY summit got the soft 8's back in stock, so I have 5 headed my way...now to find some tires... Been surfing craigslist, and a few other local places, but have had no promising prospects...(say that 5 times fast) Body lift is on the way as well, and I plan on attempting to run 33's, wether it is the 33x10.5 15 from BFG, or a 12.5 wide tire from any other vendor, we will see. The wheels are 4 inch backspaced so turning radius may cause an issue... With the SL and the BL they should, SHOULD clear...maybe minor fender trimming is in order...
  23. Very very simple...and that write up from 88 is right on the money. Exactly how I did mine... Calmini front UCA and torsion bar re index
  24. In TN it is a $10K fine and 10 years in prison...but they do it all the time. I don't mind having a cat, I have a high flow one sitting in my shed from an S10, I may just install that and a new muffler, then be done. I had a 40 series on a blazer with the 4.3 in it, sounded like a daggum 350. The 3.0 is MUCH smaller than the 4.3... I was looking at mufflers last night while at the part time job (AZ). Cherrybomb makes one that is very similar to the 40 series, and quite a bit cheaper. They also manufacture a turbo muffler, whatever that is. I am not looking for sound, but flow. Quieter the better for me, but a low growl is cool.
  25. I am curious to hear how it sounds with a 40 series...I believe our exhaust is 2 inch, not 100%
