no warranty on the bad one? that bites... this one should be fine man.. VA doesn't get that cold.

pathblocker. as to offroad packages.. the X and the Titan both come with rear lockers as the main part of this package. they still make a 2wd X though... wtf??? and v6, i always thought that you really couldn't do much with and r50 but that's not the case.. have you seen Pezzy's or MichiganAve's? those are pretty cool, no? also, the new pathfinder is not the development of the wd platform.. that is the X.. the new pathy's are the R plantform as in R51. the newest X is wd23, i think. i know their first gen was wd22. it's virtually the same as wd21 but everything is bigger.

oh ford and chevy are known for this brain fart too.
-
550cca should get it started anyway.. i am guessing your charging system may not be upto par or you still have the connection issue.
-
well, Nissan made the X their offroader. the new pathfinders are independent suspention all the way around so the results are totaly understandable.

inspecting rubber lines by looking at them on the outside won't do you a thing.. they break down inside and you'll never know it.. it's a good idea to exchange all of them every ~100k mi

play with the connector again.. that could be the whole cause.

pull the codes as couple of these issues could be sensor related. 1. get codes.. i bet it's maf, or O2 2. loose conncetion or loose alt belt... maybe a code for this one also 3. could be plugged up heater box. mine is good and will run me out of the truck if i even leave it on the lowest setting.

let's move this to the r50 section.. none of those guys and gal had anything to say. they ought to know, i am thinking..

snap some pictures of the engine and we'll see for ourselves and we'll all be buffled or we'll figure it out together.

do you have enough coolant in the system? did you disconnect the battery before doing the t-belt? did you do anything with the dizzy? it is still possible that you didn't have the right tension on the t-belt and it may have jumped a tooth or two. it is also possible that the CPS just went dead.. but two codes popping at the same time is somewhat suspect.. did you reconnect everything they way it was before doing the belt?

do you have a camera? wanna snap a pic and link it?

oh shoot, i have driven my pathfinders all over the east coast and have been to canada in my previous one. the total milage you're talking about is about my average vacation milage.. ~3k+ sometimes. on highway, it's just like any other ride; truck. i really haven't had any major problems on any trip although i have worked on my vehicles while traveling around. this trip should be no sweat except unless you've never driven 16h straight then it will be a little bit. staying awake may be an issue.. depends on your experience.. definitely load up on CDs or however you carry your music. i actually enjoy listening to local music on the radio while i pass on by.. have heard some of the most interesting things out there.. music and talk.. my my, you learn a lot. before this trip i'd also change motor oil (unless you just did it) and check all the other fluids and systems.. brakes, lights...

wtf? there have to be wires. did you look on the side of the motor? distributor?
-
you probably need to go back and have them dump the exess fluid. make sure it is ATF like it is supposed to be.. these quick lube places are known for stupid stuff like not putting the right fluid in the right area; or at times they'll not put in anything at all; sometimes way too much. if done right, change it as often as the manual calls for.

very nice. -
is the mark at 0 at TDC? does the rotor point to wire #1 at TDC?
-
i'd bet on the timing as that was just messed with. put the light on and see what you get.
-
bad connections?.. maybe the original battery warmed up thus having enough juice to start the truck again?
-
highly uneven wear of the pads could be caused by bad pins or stuck piston. not sure what you mean by "gap" when fully depressed. there shouldn't be any or you're not going to stop.

2 new (remanufactured) calipers.. or

yup.. just asking seemed to be the fix. :D

some kind of short as the lights must be robbing the audio power somewhere. i am thinking if the relay has both regular lights and the fogs and the audio on it then i could see it.. otherwise i don't think so... too bad you don't have an extra relay just laying around to quickly check if that is it. the stereo is stock or fiddled with? if latter, you may want to check the wiring there.
