  1. are we related? lol holy moly.. we gots us a veenner!!!
  2. mine was a total PITA.. removing the glove box didn't really help and that's probably why mine still makes the noise.. i couldn't get to every little nook and cranny.
  3. Junk yard or a parts tracking place.
  4. you have no defrost on the rear glass? the fan may or may not be broken.. shaking or noises suggest that there is something hitting the fan possibly? mine does that but i still have great heat.. i will venture a guess that maybe your heat exchanger is plugged up with deposits.. you can do the citric flush and see if that helps. or look into plug in electric heaters.. cig lighter is all you need.
  5. get you a 55gal drum of PBlaster and go to town.
  6. hard to tell from that angle really. if you see a shiny shaft between them then they are spreading otherwise not.
  7. forget the duct tape// fix it right.. TREs are pretty cheap... $20-40 and that'a way cheaper then even one night at the hospital and possible liability. you can do this yourslef too.. you can get better deal on allignement at Firestone or some place like that. Firestone has lifetime alignement deals too. in 2000mi all kinds of things could happen. don't gamble with your or others' lives, PLEASE.
  8. do you come through windsor? I75 isn't nearly as bad as I71. either way, the po-pos in OH suck big time.. i hate driving through and you can't get anywhere east of here without driving through the two bad states of OH and PA. never ridden in one, have you? long distance trips are way, way more pleasant in a comfy car then otherwise. our pathys are luxury compared with 2dr jeeps though.
  9. eject button. :D have you tried it? lol.. do you have an owner's manual? some info about that switch should be in there.
  10. no clicky when you engage the 4wd? if your truck is still on the stands, make it run and see if the CV axles are turning.
  11. i don't really know man.. i have the older model.. just keep playing with it.. you'll get it eventually. with the FWD, start from second gear instead.
  12. check codes maf cps fuel filter
  13. yeah, the fluid tends to flow back in the lines.. it may take a minute of pumping to get it all there.. don't overheat the pump though, by pumping it that long all at once.. give it a few then let off, try again until it squirts again. you could also take the hose of the rear squirter and then try to prim it.. less restriction, less time.
  14. FWDs do great in the snow man. try clamping but i really doubt you'll have enough room.. retapping would be my second thing to try.. PB the hell out of it.. the last and i mean the last resort would be to use the jaw type puller.. the pulley is actually snapped to the harmonic balancer and i don't think they come apart. be real careful as the new set is very expensive.
  15. there is also a signal receiving unit in the back of the guage. it may also be the culprit. there is also a minum V when you spin the little gear on the VSS.. getting the VSS out if the tranny TC is a real challenge though.
  16. nissan recommends 10w30 in the vehilcle.. winteroegs should definitely use 5w30 or even 0w30 or maybe even lower on the second number. mobil 1 is kick butt anytime of the year.. the weights still apply.
  17. one tire has to be on the ground and really immobilized and then you tug on the other with hands at 9 and 3 and you push/pull.
  18. actually there is a little bit of up and down movement just not much.. 1/4 in or something.. maybe a tad more but if it's loose then it's shot.. the thing is that you also need to check your TREs and BJs because they could also give you false symptoms.
  19. sounds like a dead battery to me... disconnect the pos (+) as there are multiple grounds on your vehicle.
  20. you need the SL (& BL) and then some to get those meats under there.
  21. here is some related info. get a haynes or chiltons. i've worked with those on all kinds of cars without any problems. $15-20 at your local auto parts store. there is some relevant info here: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=255
