rust, uncared for ATs kill these things faster then anything. as long as one does the maintance, vg can bang for a long time.

every state is different.. in WI you can't have more then 4 lights showing up front... it all depends.. they seem to not care about the tires not the lights in my state. we have no inspections either.

stock ones are black. some have 5 and some 6 windings.

drive faster or slower then. this points to tire/steering/suspention issue to me.

wd and v6. it has a frame. the r50 doesn't. definitely look long and hard for rusty frame.. that's really the only thing that kills these trucks. engine is almost bomb proof (w/maintenance) get manual tranny if you can find one it seems to have more torque. i like it better anyway. powerwise: ah, it ain't too bad. you either lift the frame or the body.. the trannies sit on the frame. MPG's aren't all that.. i'd say ave ~17 but some do less.. few do more.. 20 if you're way lucky but with lifts MPG's drop.

actually this is not really a common issue at all but in some locations avaialibility of junk pathys is so low that when you find one there isn't much left. edit: OR should have a bunch though unless 88 beat you to it all, although he isn't in the S. if you purchase a new or newer motor make sure to match the old one with the new one... they made a couple of different 'models'. at least the way the connect so, don't get stuck with one that won't work for you. one had 3 prongs that go into the door's drive and i don't recall what the other one was oh, the gear thing.. if you say the teeth look perfect then the cause could be latteral slipage, as the cog moves side to side enough where it doesn't line up with the other gear. i have a similar issue with a plastic gear in another car on another part but that was what i finally figured out; it may be something to observe.

are you sure it's the engine and not something else vibrating? have you check your plugs and wires and cap? fuel filter? air filter? you're going to have to start with the basics.

no other times it gives trouble? does the check engine light come on? anything else?

2x but i have a feeling you were way too close to the obstacle thus he was able to slide into you. i've never had that issue with anybody i went wheeling with. one of my buddies however did get bumped by a jeeper who wasn't in control but there was no damage. things could have gotten ugly if something did get bent up. most of the time i go solo so if there is damage it is definitely my fault.
