  1. i'm guessing it's a bypass while it's warming up. it's probably cali type of emissions deal.
  2. you didn't need to change the tc oil. mine used to be atf but has been gl for number of years. no issues. i did the switch over for convenience mainly as i have a 5 speed so no other place with atf in it.

  4. so, what were the error codes you extracted?
  5. you either have some kind of a drain (lights will do it) or your alt isn't loading the battery fully.
  6. well, thos pics show where the vss goes into.. i'll try to snap a pic tonight, just 4 u. oops, you're right 87. sorry for the confusion.
  7. the vss slides in on my truck. there is a little bolt holding it on/in.
  8. those pics (drawings) are of VSS. my 94 has it, i am sure 95 does too. not sure what other years have it also. maybe 93 was the year when they went away from cable driven cluster. they did a lot of changes that year.

  10. my speed sensor is definitely in the back of my MT. not sure what that pic is of until i get home as all pics are blocked here at work.
  11. red, O2 sensor? i still don't get it why the speed sensor is in the TC. how would it register anything when not in 4x4? mine is in the rear of the tranny. hmmm
  12. do i need to point you to poho, or can you manage that mr.
  13. that's not an acronym.
  14. so, are you getting power to the sensor?
  15. it may for a while.. i don't know if it's actually the sensor or a glitch somewhere. i'm pretty sure it's a PITA to do the exchange, thus no one does it as there seem not to be any negative effects. noticeable ones anyway.
  16. have someone turn the wheel while you lay under the truck. try to locate the sound and see what's up. if no sound then lift the truck and go over everything again pulling/pushing on everything possible.
  17. dead battery? get it jumped.
  18. CEL light on? if so, check the error codes. there is a thread about how to. did you change the fuel filter?
  19. YES, SPECIAL TOOLS FOR BOTH JOBS. COMPRESSION: AND
  20. shoclks have nothing to do with the lean. re-index the t-bars and possibly get new rear coils. there are threads about this in either the garage or in the garage's how-to's
