if yoiu take the rotors off then you need to get new seals as once they've been moveed they will not seal well. the new seals are ~$5 ea. if you've driven in wet or sandy areas or have 100k mi then you definitely shoudl repack your bearings too. grease all the grease fittings while you're there too.

i have and pretty sure that 99% of the times it was water or other crap in the gas. i avoid those few stations and mostly have no issues.

well, at least shoot some lube intoi the lock.. best do inside too but that's a little more involved. use whatever you feel comfortable with. i use what ever i have around. i do it 2x a year or whenever the locks start acting up a little.. winter salt tends to give them hell.

yeah, check the sway bar first, then the panhard and the other arms there and then the frame. good luck.. 8in is a whole bunch.. hope it's not the worse case scenario.
