  1. I'll take the easy access/dumb placement of a pathfinder over any of the 20 minutes of removing stupid plastic splash pans 3/4 the cars have anymore. And like Adam, my starters were always dry. Take 30 seconds and shove a shop rag on top of it
  2. You searched, nothing to be ashamed of Personally if there's a yard you can get to with some selection it's worth a try but I would get prices/availability (or just pm Alkorahil on here) as a backup.
  3. You will have to notch the body side brackets where the zerks fittings will be when open so you don't rip them off first time you swing it out and if you don't clean up after yourself it will eventually make a mess on your quarter panel but it is doable.
  4. Mall parking lot kidding, watch. Part outs on here if your yards yield no results. Jmoor, your going to have to put those brackets on a diet a little if you don't want to cut at your inner structure but you will get them to fit. This is the route I went when I did mine but never took good pics.
  5. We have a pinned thread specifically for this http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/26865-rockautocom-discount-code/ Please use this for future rockauto codes
  6. I don't see Steeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevo being to fond of a bad product having his name associated with it. I'm sure he'll make it right (since I already see you've contacted him )
  7. Danger Cat is still good, nunya is happy you linked a good read for others interested so dead or alive this thread leads to good info (though with its title I don't see it getting the traffic FOR that )
  8. Future reference, ignore tappytalk error messages, I've removed the multiple of repeats (and the seperatly named thread with the same content) R50 patffinders have their quirks like any other vechile on the road (check through the pinned stuff in the r50 section). But if you talk to the people on here who actually own them and have driven them for years you will hear minimal on the negative side
  9. Tire carrier mount could be pretty ingenious actually... Someone in here should try to rig one from an old conversion van or something...
  10. Yea, we ain't against proper research and using an old thread for good info, that's what they are there for! And as said DONT STACK SPACERS OR USE HOCKEY PUCKS! A proper 2" or 3" body lift (most people jump on the bigger is better wagon but a 2" is plenty for some as well) is not only safer and correct, but will save you in the long run
  11. unless you pinch off the flex hose and push the old fluid out the bleeder (which I haven't seen done since high school ) As stated, check your brake light switch, xterra linked you good
  12. Ive had 1 and 2 together (or at least close enough to say so, I don't remember exact rpm anymore). It was at fault of the used Maxima Alty. I recently put in at the time. Different alty and I replaced the battery with a known good used one (preventive incase I cooked it from the ride home where it originally failed... Then Driving it for another week) How dare a junkyard part fail!
  13. Fwiw FSMs recomend an order of Load sensing valve (where applicable)-LR-RR-LF-RF which sounds 'backwards' from standard but is the 'correct' way.
  14. I had issues with them a few years ago over a fuel pump that didn't last a week and was supposed to have a year warranty. I got every excuse possible trying to blame me from installation to ordering incorrectly and got absolutely no help. I rate them worse than CarID (which I had a terrible experience with as well) and don't understand the way people praise them over some 'exclusive' 5% discount nobody can ever find because google is too complicated... And I hope they do see this, places NEED to see their negative feedback to try to correct a problem that could cost them MANY customers. Word of mouth is way more powerful that a cheap commercial with a terrible song...
  15. My phone would probably change a real word TO that
  16. That problem is well covered (so make that a "X4" for me). The slave ain't expensive so as stated I'd replace both just as a preventive.
  17. I 100% agree (along with all the other checks mentioned-don't blindly throw parts at it!), just bluntly stating the cooling issues I personally had
  18. One of the 2 times WhiteOwl ever overheated on me was due to the clutch fan failing (the other was due to a junk radiatior that was missing a majority of its cores ). If start with where B pointed you... Make sure the system is blead of air well (I always like to park on an incline or put the front end up on stands, helps force the air out), check for good flow. Save additives as a last ditch effort...
  19. Never had that issue, only time I would see a wd21 around here was at the pick a part, most r50s are picking up their kids from soccer, and the average Xterra would look at me funny because I don't have a Dick Dastardly moustache and wear thick black framed glasses with no lenses
  20. Don't apologize, that's why we have a search function! PM Alkorahil on the forums here, he can hook you up
  21. You don't want it as a full 'basket' so why not fit a factory Xterra roof rack bar set (requires some modification to sit right). Gives a cool off road-y look, is all Nissan, and still functional as a normal roof rack
  22. He's something... But it ain't a ninja
  23. Your going to be bored in a month or have to break things on a daily basis just to keep up with this trend Jim!
