  1. my 97 SE has a steel spare... I think I saw trainman say somewhere that the yota rims are off of a Seqoia (sp)
  2. and the 3.3 uses less than 4 quarts all told, I have no idea how that is enough
  3. I use adult units, miles please :tonguefinger:
  4. If I use dino oil I use an additive, lucas oil and restore have both worked great for me...that being said: I used lucas oil the FIRST time i used fully synthetic mobil1 and will not use it again, just straight full synthetic. My old 99 Mercedes ML320 had Mobil1 full synthetic in it since it drove off the lot, changed every 6-7k up until 230k when I sold it. I will NEVER use anything other than mobil1 based on my experience. Yes a little more costly but worth every penny. Now to add to the questions, how often do you guys change your full synthetic oil? I usually do 5-6k, but I know some people that go as far as 10k...
  5. weaponR makes the secret weapon (around 200) and the dragon (130) intakes...
  6. wow, that red really looks good on the pathy, and that bumper is sweet as hell, enjoy man
  7. Thats different, usually the lowers wear out first...my lowers were toast by the time I got the truck but the uppers still have a little bit of life left in them (christmas project)
  8. Thats what I didn't do...time to order some camber bolts...did you install them or did you have the shop put them in? They could get mine into alignment with just the tops drilled out but it continued to pop out, so that makes sense to me.
  9. My only real question is that my front end just will not stay in alignment...the struts I got from Max have the top hole on the lower strut mount drilled out so the camber would not be an issue, but even with the nuts torqued down to spec (111-122 ft-lbs) it keeps popping out. It does it when I am making a turn in a parking lot that puts a lot of force on that wheel, and I can hear a loud pop and sure enough the alignment is out again. Now I did purchase the firestone lifetime alignment but after the third time in a month the service advisor asked why i was there so often. My only line of thinking is that the top hole should not have been drilled out, but I know I have seen someone say that somewhere on here...any ideas?
  10. cornering with this has become nonexistent, so body role isnt a problem...all i know is whatever clunking noise I had before has become much more pronounced since I put the lift on, and I suspect it is these bars
  11. Great news man, it would have really sucked to spend a lot of time and money...I really really wish my VG had more power but I haven't heard of any problems with them
  12. So using those on my lifted setup is not good? How much would it hurt performance to remove them?
  13. Its not the CV axles, it happens any time i hit ANY sort of little bump or uneven patch in the road...Mine has the allen head on the bolt so it is not possible for me to get a torque wrench in there, but I tightened them as tight as I could with an allen wrench and a ratcheting wrench, and I still get the clunking. Someone I spoke to about my dads truck (excursion) said those often go up on his truck and sound like what I am describing, and since I can move it by hand I think I have a good assumption. Do the rubber boots on those go bad? I have no idea what the rubber piece serves for, but I don't know why else these parts would go bad.
  14. Sorry to threadjack but I get a clunking noise from the front of my truck and I suspect it is those end links since I could wiggle those by hand when I took my wheel off and they made some noise just from me moving them by hand...will simply replacing them fix this?
  15. 3.3's have some additional part (i assume resonator)... see attached diagram
  16. I was thinking about having the front resonator and second muffler (resonator as you guys make it sound) removed...hoping it wont cost me a ton.
  17. Is there any trick to it? I removed the plastic cap and removed the nut but it wont budge. The front ones came off pretty easily...
  18. I see now, I thought you somehow tinted the lens so the whole thing lit up...did the 50w bulb fit in the bulb holder for the turn signal with no mods? I really like the look with that sliver of orange and may have to steal it if your OK with that... And thanks for the link Isaac, Im just trying to keep as many options open as possible.
  19. Home Depot hauler? I work at the Bel Air Home Depot. I don't know why Nissan would change the mounting points for the side steps, but the only way to know for sure is to try...
  20. That looks like some fun you had there, and a good mix of trucks. Always good pics! and I have to say I am in love with those headlights
  21. Hey man that looks awesome, just what I need. If you don't mind, where did you get those and how much did you pay? I'm thinking if I get a Toyota one for a mid 90s 4runner or something and get the proper lug nuts it should work... Also, do you have any parts off of that? I really like that A-bar, and how did you black out your turn signals? Were they still functional?
  22. Hey man thats awesome to here of another Hazard county guy...If you do get into modding I can help you with anything I have done...I tie my dogs down in the trunk so they cant get hair in the front and scratch up the leather. And yea, that is me with all that stuff for sale on CL, just trying to clear out some old stuff and make some money for it. If you want any of it I will do it real cheap for local NPORA guys.
  23. I found some online that are around 1", some that are 20mm, 25mm, and 30mm. I think any but the 20mm would work for me. I already checked the wheel and the wheel has room where it mates up to the hub to make room for the existing wheel studs if they stick out a little. Most of the ones I have found are deisgned for 1st gen Xterras, and I am led to assume since the wheels from an 04 Xterra S/C fits on my R50 that the wheel spacer would as well...otherwise I emailed a couple of custom fabbers that advertise online for quotes so we will see about that and any feedback is appreciated...
  24. Hope this helps. Clearly less than half inch under the strut, the tire is about one inch deep under the strut (depth in the pic)
  25. If it is half an inch larger, that would not work with the 3/8 inch of clearance I have on the strut tower, so I will need a spacer to fit it...I can get an unbeleivable deal on a set of 265/70R17 BFG A/T's almost brand new for $70 for the whole set. So do you have any idea where to find wheel spacers?
