  1. I posted a while ago that the part that 4x4parts sells for lifted R50s is RS9999010XL...i went through the same thing you did...i think 4x4parts only sells one type for all R50s and that would be it.
  2. I think the best thing to do sometimes is get under your truck and see where your current tire sits vs. the lower spring perch on the strut. I could tell to go any size bigger I needed to add a wheel adapter, and now I can easily fit much larger sizes since I am no lunger under the perch...
  3. I here ya, they are priced nicely and well reviewed as well, my only problem with them is they dont look that rugged, I want something that looks pretty beefy whilst being an a/t
  4. I know you want info on 99.5+, but on my 97 the 265/65R17 rubbed on the side of the strut and on the plastic shield at full lock...the wheel spacer gave me only rubbing on the shield now... Why Yokos again? I am considering the Nitto Terra Grappler just to try something new since it has good reviews (it was either that, the Grabber AT2, or bust the bank)
  5. Funny you mention that, I get the P0300 code for a day or two every six months or so, truck never runs any differently though, so I am starting with all you mentioned above that is spark related, all NGK for plugs and wires, I have no idea what a good brand is for cap and rotor though (havent looked into knock sensor but may want to)
  6. And if any of the skid plates are unnecessary...i have heard the rear diff plate is useless...
  7. The only cars I have seen with adjustable headlights is projector headlights, ours is reflector style...
  8. i know there are plenty of places to throw in switches down next to the cigarette lighter, even with heated seats I think I have 3 or 4 plus the blank one up by the dimmer control...
  9. It might be the easiest part to replace on the truck...two bolts is it... oh yea, did I mention I did this with my grill and front bumper removed? I dont think you can do it without removing them, but even that really doesnt take long if you know what you are doing...
  10. I see you are interested in max's subframe drop...when you go pick that up he *had* a lincoln locked rear for an R50 he kept wanting me to buy, but im a cheap ass and dont want new tires every 20k miles
  11. I have seen the red, and it catches my eye every time, very nice colour
  12. I take nothing offensively...it IS a slow truck, and people turn their heads and I have already received compliments on the sound but they ask if that is as fast as it goes, then I tell them the factory hp number and they usually laugh out loud, which is fine. When the VG33 has me running years longer then any of their vehicles I will be the one laughing. Back to the intake though...I feel like it has MUCH more pull in first gear, and where I really feel the most improvement is after the shift to third it pulls harder at 4,xxx in third then it did at redline in second... I cannot wait to do the ram air/heat shield setup on mine, it should make a HUGE difference at speed...and now Chris has me hooked on the Aero exhaust, so that will be next summer...
  13. i feel so strongly because i love that color, and he asked our opinion, but i agree, if you really want to do it, DO IT!!!
  14. Yes your red is that nice...and the bumper blends nicely with the rest of the color scheme...
  15. no...i dont like my sahara and that one is uglier...i think the red on your truck is one of the better colors i have seen on a pathfinder

  17. I had to wipe after you redlined it...is that with intake as well? I will def. be looking into that this summer...
  18. Thanks guy, and trancebar i put a lot of words in there so im sure many people wont read it all, but I WILL be building a heat shield in the future, and setting up a ram air setup by cutting out the plastic under the turn signal on my 97 on both sides and putting wire mesh in its place and mounting the hose right behind that and have it go up to the engine bay through the hole where the lower piece of the stock intake meets the upper piece... Alex: The intake is by weapon-R designed specifically for our 3.3L pathfinder...it comes with everything you see there, but I needed a longer vacuum tube as mentioned above...it also comes with a ram air hose and bottle of cleaner for the filter, so I will use the hose provided and fab up my heat shield like HFX...here is the link to his cardomain page so you can see what I will be doing... http://www.cardomain.com/ride/727953/3
  19. So I got the weapon-R intake for my pathfinder and installed it this morning...the results so far are great, it sound really nice up to about 5k rpms, and it sounds like an old V8 from 5k to the auto shift point...i did not expect it to be this loud, but i am pleased with it...the but dyno tells me i am getting a stronger pull out of first gear, and the remaining gears it seems to pull harder between 4-5k rpms...I will be creating a heat shield for it and do the same ram air set up as what hfxpathfinders did... On to the bad parts...the intake pipe itself has all three vacuum lines, unfortunately the two large lines are not on the same side and on of them sits about an inch from the brake fluid tank...If you get this setup just go to the local parts store and buy some stiffer hose (i think the one i got was heater core hose?) so it doesnt kink on the sharp turn that needs to be made...Also the intake pipe itself seems too short and too curved, i had to turn the pipe so it faced down a little and pointed towards the front corner of the truck... i sent myself a picture but it has not come in my email yet, when i get it i will post it here...
  20. Nice lookin bud...how well do they fit around the lower spring perch on the strut? My Xterra S/C wheels with 265/65R17 had a little more than 1/4" between the tire and spring perch... and how do you like those tires? If i didnt get the wheels I did I was gonna get them for the stock rims...still considering them for these or the General Grabber A/T2...
  21. Mobil1 full synthetic for the win...there is a reason both Mercedes and BMW use it in their engines, and my ML320 went 230k without valve tapping or any engine problems...they have me for life (and I use their oil filters too)...I used the recommended in the Pathfinder (I think 10w30) but since I don't ever see below zero temps I am going to put in 10w40 next time...
  22. ditto...well maybe not on the well deserved :tonguefinger: keep up the good work guys, this site is great...B can do all the grunt work now
  23. I would imagine it is not a problem based on the pics...
