  1. So as the title suggests, I am looking for the cheapest starter available...pep boys has remans with lifetime warranty for 140...
  2. Well I hit the starter and it started right up...next up is where is the best place to find starters? Thanks
  3. ill try jumping it and see if that works...the only thing im thinking is that the same thing happened last night and i eventually got it started again without jumping it and it started 2 or 3 more times before doing this again...
  4. Jump it while the battery is fine?
  5. So I go to wawa on my lunch break and go to start my truck and it wont start. The battery is fine as the lights will turn on and were on for 10 minutes without dieing (daylighters). If I have the key in the run position with the engine off and then turn it to start it does nothing. The starter makes no noise at all and no atempts to start the pathy. Any advice would be great. thanks in advance. mike
  6. Thanks for the info, let us know if you see a difference...
  7. Ok, let me get this straight...First, jack up the truck under the rear diff, the nput jack stands on the frame? (since I have no frame I have no idea what that means, so could someone point that out to me). Then put a jack stand on one side of the axle and slowly lower the jack to lower one side of the axle while watching my lines. Then do I need a spring compressor or do they just pop out or what? Thanks again for dealing with my novice-ness
  8. The hoses are long enough to do go under the TB if I use a connector of that size? my 3.3 is set up the same for the coolant line... So what did u do to the holes in the TB? plug them with something? Do you reattach the lines to the TB in the winter? (that helps me get an idea if the cold is an issue for us MDers) Thanks
  9. Thanks guys... I think I answered my question for the bolts on the knuckle, i think they are 22mm... For the rear springs, what all do I have to do to get the old ones out? Do I just compress the springs or do I have to undo some control arms...I have no idea...
  10. I need to put in longer bolts for the strut spacer, the stock size bolts are an inch too short
  11. hey 02, how long was your T section? I was perusing the auto parts store and they all look too short...
  12. No, they are not lengthened...does anyone else have any suggestions?
  13. Ok, so I bought the AC springs from max, and he had already pressed in bolts on the upper part...I have spent at least a half hour hammering those bolts and not one has come out...any advice on getting them out? Also, does anyone know what size the lower bolts are on the struts? TIA, Mike
  14. Check this out, Ive seen it when browsing before... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/96-08-Nissa...sspagenameZWDVW
  15. Ive heard of this before and was thinking about trying it...so all you did was removed those coolant lines from the throttle body and clamped a small piece of plastic onto either vacuum line? So does the line now sit above or below the TB?
  16. Damnit I was gonna make the drug reference...too slow myself
  17. and I think you will have to take off the glass itself to get to it, it only takes 5 minutes or so with a short phillips head, a flat head to pry, and a small adjustable wrench First you remove the plastic trim on both sides. There is a plastic screw at the back, remove that, then remove the clip that it screws into. Then grab that part of the plastic, pry it down just a little to unclip the back, then swing that part towards the inside to remove the trim piece Then there are three nuts you have to remove, two in the front and one in the back. After you remove these nuts gently lift the sunroof to remove the shims. Then gently remove the sunroof.
  18. Finally got the sunroof off, snapped some pics of the sunroof cover track...
  19. What do you guys think of this stuff...http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/car+care/interior+detailing/leather+care%2C+16+ounces.do I just used it and will let you all know how it goes
  20. no problem...let me know if u run into any problems
  21. Im assuming thats the one I have. It doesnt do step by step but it has the pictures of all of the screws and nuts and all and arrows pointing to where they insert. Be very careful with the clips as they are easy to break. You have to turn them i think a quarter turn to get them out
  22. 1. Remove corner lights next to headlights. 2. Remove clips holding grill to body 3. Remove screws holding grill and trim piece below grill to body, remove grill and lower trim piece. 4. Remove turn signals and fog lights. 5. Unscrew fender lining from bumper. 6. Either use a ratcheting wrench and remove the nut and bolt on both sides holding the bumper on or unscrew the windshield washer reservoir tank and use a regular wrench. If you look at the face bar on the bumper, there are little circles that are the head of the bolts holding the mounting bracket on the bumper. Behind those is where the nut and bolt are. I used the repair manual for this and it worked well, pm me your email and I can send you this section if youd like.
  23. yea your right 265/75 on a 15" rim is 31 inches tall, whereas it is like 32.3 for a 17 inch rim
  24. How do you get all this money?
  25. My stock SE comes with 265/70 size tires...265/75 is equivalent to a 31" tire
