Does anybody know? Id just like to have an idea before I go ripping things apart

Wow thats great info on the removal and reinstalling of the panel, i would have tugged slowly and messed it up. The last question that remains is how do I tighten the window so its not so loose?
-
Already posted on this, but this one asks the same thing, Mine is doing the exact same thing and got so loose in a couple days that it rattles on bumps now, how do you tighten the windows?

Where can I get the sidemarkers??? Snorkels arent my thing, but I do like how that one flows with the body vs. almost every other snorkel ive ever seen

The PIAA's are the best if you fork over the dough for them, if not I would go with the Bosch...had them for a year and a half on my mercedes with no problems, had the rain-x latitudes on my accord and after 10 months they started to streak, and some no name dealer wipers on the pathfinder that lasted a month. Anyone have any reccomendations for good rear wipers?

Fuel economy oddity, symptom of some problem?
laxman0324 replied to HankG's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
That is a good question since V6's tend to get thirsty with a heavy throttle, but I wouldn't say your 15-15.5 is that off. I think cali uses some ethanol in their gas which kills mileage, and if you have bigger tires, underinflated, clogged air filter, bad spark plugs, etc. you could be getting that bad of mileage. -

nothing wrong with mobil1 syn, they just dont need all the publicity. Mercedes recommends only mobil1 in most of their cars, and I know a few BMW's do as well...Just stay name brand and youll be fine -
I used to since it was 5 cents cheaper per gallon but then while Im waiting I have to get at least a lemonade tea, usually a hoagie with it which negates that savings.

Got a diff eq. test monday and 8 page paper due tues. That count? Oh yeah and Im pretty much completely opposite on the continental US.
-
Not sure, but I think amazon has them for cheaper, I was gonna get them but ended up with the MM's

Fueler: I agree with most of what you say, I do however believe that most manufacturers use a better package of additives in their higher octane fuel, and every couple tanks I fill up with premium. The only difference I notice is my truck idles a lot smoother since its on 105k and I think still on the first set of plugs. And for some reason I get about a half gallon better with premium then regular, but I think the Shell I use has some of the methane? in it, not sure if thats the right chemical or not.

I found this site interesting since this same discussion was going on on the MB forum and this site came up http://www.toptiergas.com/index.html Click on retailers to see who they recommend.

I always like shell gas, rarely use anything else. Answering your other thread, i would use premium for a couple fillups at least (possibly look into an injector cleaner aditive for your gas) and then use regular...

Leaving it in the freezer for a couple hours did the trick. I got a locking lug nut set and just tossed the nut that stripped it...thanks though

Sorry to threadjack, but what is a VG34? Could it work in my 97 if I have problems? Again sorry Tex.

your just painting the chrome tip? If so you would want to etch it with some acid (not sure for chrome) and use a good primer and paint (also not sure about good brands), but you will be exposing it to a lot of heat, any weather conditions, etc., so if you want it to last youll want a quality product. Im sure the vets know what good brands and proper etching and all.

Ok well i answered my own question...you can pull the brake cover (i dont know what the term is called) right off with a little pry from a flat head, then hit the bolt with a little MAPP gas, and hammer it and it pops right out...i have the new bolt in the freezer now so it will be easier to slide in.
-
Make a long story short, previous owner did something to one of the lugbolts on my left rear tire, and when I went to remove it it is partially stripped and the only threaded part is so messed up I cannot start a new lug nut on it. What would I need to do to replace the lug bolt, and how hard is this going to be? Thanks, Mike

There is no fixing mine, its only replacing, the plastic has cracked in a couple spots and the dents are small in area but pretty deep, not large ones that can be pressed out or anything
-
I don't see much difference between the two, they put the lights on it like the newer one if u ask for it...It might be more economical for me just to get a new bumper and install the grill guard and KC's i have sitting in my garage then to buy a winch mount bumper when Ill never put a winch on it...nice day dream though
-
http://www.kenmtnac.com/WinPat9699.html They do...i really like that look...how much of a difference will installing one of these make for engine temp since now the only place the fan is pulling air from is in front of the grill? Im considering this since i need to replace my bumper anyway after an accident.
-
Mine started fine when it was warm out and seems to take longer the colder it is...id suspect thats your culprit, but look into what BowTied said just so you can rule that out or catch it early...better to deal with things before they become a problem.

What he said...i knew what i wanted to say in my head but said the wrong thing

All I have done so far is replace one O2 sensor and put on Mille Marker hubs (like warns but cheaper), and my truck has 3 radials and 1 Uniroyal Liberator AT (from previous owner). I always keep them at 50 PSI since they are 30x9.50, and I get around 19.5 with cruise between 60 and 70 and a light foot. I have no idea what the previous owner did but I will be doing a full tune up this summer. Maybe its my busted up front bumper giving me good aerodynamics Also you need to consider how much ethanol the pumps in your area run, that can kill mileage. If most members are getting 16-17 on the highway i would say im abnormal, so dont expect to get what i get

I got the line itself to stay under, where the mounting bracket was for most of the time, otherwise i just moved it until i got the wrench on then didnt care if it touched the wrench. Still going to right a how-to, just putting off writing that much...
