  1. Welcome! We do like seeing peeps like you on the forums. I used to live in Flagstaff and work in Sedona. Fairly close to you.
  2. That church in hidden in Oak Creek Village on Church Dr. I think. It's after the first of second roundabout as you enter the village. NAU was awesome in my oppinion but too expensive as I was technically not a resident. I used to live off of Lake Mary Rd. on the south side of town. Las Cruces is okay. Lots of wind and dust and not much rain. It's like a mini-Phoenix. I hear ya on the ticket situation. I was on probation until April of this year. Good luck on the speedo.
  3. Welcome! I used to live in Flagstaff! I loved it but couldn't afford it. How long have you lived there? I went back last year for a visit but mainly took pix of Sedona where I used to work at the Mac Clinic: http://npora.ipbhost.com//index.php?showto...mp;hl=flagstaff Enjoy your Pathy and join the club as I also have a dead cluster.
  4. Whoa, I thought you left us for a Ford!
  5. Mine is original with 109K miles and it's really harsh shifting from 1st to 2nd when it's cold. Everything else is very smooth whether it be upshifting or downshifting. I had another Pathy with a rebuilt tranny and it did the same thing (very stiff 1-2 shift).
  6. If I'm mad at it..."parts-finder" or "gas-finder." If I love it (which is most of the time) then..."pathy"
  7. I know I was rather surprised how quivery and bumpy mine was off road or rough roads. I think it's just the design. Shocks and various other little suspension tweaks will help, but it's still an '80s design.
  8. Yeah, I hope mine isn't clogged and overheating. The console doesn't emit any heat into the cabin nor does the 4x4 shifter feel warm around the boot.
  9. ^its got the nissanmatic c in there now and it didn't seem to make much of a difference from 1-2 shifts. However, when I had the old fluid in there, all shifts were stiff and felt like there was a man hitting the gearbox with a hammer. With the new fluid in, all downshifts and upshifts aside from 1-2 are as smooth as butter with that nissanmatic stuff. I'm just concerned that it smells burnt. My old Pathy I sold had a sort of sweet smell to its rebuilt tranny. Thanks fro the replys, guys.
  10. I got a transmission flush not too long ago since I didn't know how long ago my Pathy had one (I bought it used in Nov. 08) It was nasty...brown and murky looking. That doesn't say much about the previous owner since the oil was also very black. Anyway, it now is rosy red and clear, but it still smells really burnt. I was told by my friends that that's a tell tale sign of a transmission dying. Its shifting a little stiff at 1-2 but everything else is smooth with no slip. Question is, should I just be putting some $$ aside for a new tranny in the future? Should I do another flush soon to make sure all that old crap is out of there? It's a 95 Pathy with now 109Kmiles and I do quite a bit of city driving. Thanks for any input... Oh, in case you ask, I don't have an external tranny cooler yet. Will get one before the summer months are upon us.
  11. They didn't work by themselves, but if I hit the stock Bosch relay it would occasionally work. I'll try again to take it back.
  12. I'm not looking forward to doing mine. I have at least three visible broken studs and the rest all REALLLY rusted and look fragile. That's a PITA waiting for me. Also most of my exhaust hangers are broken and the cat and muffler are resting on the crossbeams of the frame.
  13. Sorry to revive a resolved thread, but I didn't feel the need to start a new one. I have the same problem as mentioned above and it is the relay. I replaced it with a generic one from AutoZone and the fogs are all wackoo now! The minute I plug it in the right fog comes on with the lights switched off. When I turn on the lights, the right one goes off and the left one comes on. If I left that relay plugged in, it would run down my batt. Manager assured me this was the correct one and that I have other issues. What gives?
  14. No CEL. Checked codes...nothing. Plugs are new, but the wires look original and I replaced the rotor/cap just last week.
  15. Hi all. I really didn't want to create a new thread on this, but I searched and nothing came up. Just oscillating idling problems came back. Anyway, for a while now, my Pathy seems as though it's missing while it's idling. It's more noticeable when in D. It's not rhythmic and it does it only at idle. When you rev it and hold it, it's smooth. I don't notice any missing while driving either. Original owner claims to have done a tune up and I just did a t-belt. It's a 95 SE with 109Kmiles Oh, and the MAF sensor looks like it's original. Any ideas?
  16. It's dark now, but I'll try to get you some pix tomorrow. I have a 95 SE so that should help you out.
  17. That's what I did and it worked like a charm. There's a DIY on here somewhere on how to reprogram your remote. Basically you just reset the blackbox under the driver's seat by using a small button on top.
  18. I hear a certain amount of play is normal, like an inch or so (correct me if I'm wrong guys). I've driven three different WD21 pathys and they all had a certain amount of play. One owner who had his from new said that he had play when it was new. But, yes, your steering box may be worn.
  19. Judging from your pic, could be the result of acid rain. Typical of big cities. That actually doesn't look as bad as I was imagining. Couldn't hurt to throw some wax on. Never know, it could help.
  20. Mine is very slight and probably will get worse as time goes on. I was told by my mechanic that the pittman arm was a little loose and the compression rod bushings were shot. It's definitely something with the steering since, like in your case, my passengers don't feel it at all—only I do through the steering wheel.
