  1. That's in amazing condition and it looks great with your black buns (rims). Hope you're happy with it. I'm jealous since I couldn't find a manual when I was shopping around for a Pathy.
  2. Here you go, adamzan: Sorry for the poor lighting...just haven't had time to get some good daylight pix.
  3. Congrats on the new Pathy, man. Is she a manual? Can't wait to see the pix. (before and after stuff would be nice)
  4. ^ lets buy this guy a pizza!
  5. Thanks for the comments everyone! I thought about it, but first I wanted to see how this would look. I'll try to get you one tomorrow when the lighting is better. I actually wanted to start with flat gray, but I didn't want to spend the $$ on new can of paint. So cheap, I know. The keys banging on the steering column drove me nuts so I cut some velcro (the soft side) to fit and stuck it on. 1-minute job tops! (feels good to rub when you're waiting at stop lights, too!)
  6. Mine was peeling off and I tired some of that headliner adhesive but it came out all blotchy looking with air pockets all over the place. I'm thinking about just ripping it off and painting it or putting some other material on.
  7. I don't know if anyone else here has attempted this, but I decided to spruce up my speedo cluster with some color. I focused only on the bezel surrounding the gauges as that would give some nice depth within the cluster. This is an area I look at everyday, several times a day, and I wanted it to pop. Here's the before: The after: The cluster removed in preparation for dismantling. I was able to pry the bezel and plastic window off with minimal fuss. I thoroughly cleansed the bezel to make sure no dust was on the surface. Then I applied three light coats of some rattle-can gray spray paint (my brand was Valdspar but Rust-Oleum, or Krylon work great too) I had leftover from another project around the house. I didnt' see any point in priming since this won't be exposed to any moisture. I let it dry for a good 24 hours before putting everything back together. Again, here's the final product. If I were to do this again, I probably would have chosen a matte or stain gray rather then my simi-gloss. There was a "hammer-textured" gray spray paint at Lowes that looked kinda cool. I might try that on a dummy cluster I have lying around. I'm pretty happy with the way it came out. Comments, complaints, questions welcome.
  8. Keep us posted, man! Hope you (we) find an answer to this.
  9. ^exact same problem here. Friend told me it's because I have cheap ceramic pads. *shrug*
  10. I took my homemade intake off and put the stock one back in for the summer for a couple of reasons: • I don't like sucking in all that extra hot air • When it rains, it pours here...no need to risk sucking in water • I will travel some really dusty roads Maybe I'm getting too mature, but I didn't like the constant intake rumble...drove me nuts after a while. However, when the fall hits, I'll probably throw the intake back on...
  11. Glad you found the problem. These trucks are tricky to align properly with stock steering components.
  12. Good job man! Glad you got her back...
  13. ^ I guess I need to take a trip to my mechanic...I'm at a loss what to do next. I've had problems with my VSS before. Now it's constant though. I also noticed after a few days of commuting to work that my speedometer is WAY off. It reads 10mph faster than what I'm actually doing. It seems that project I do myself to save $$ opens a can of other problems. It's frustrating!
  14. Just checked, it's definitely the speed sensor. Shouldn't think a different cluster would make it freak out like this. Also noticed on an excursion last night that my cruise control doesn't work now. It did before the cluster swap. The light on the dash button comes on, but the steering column buttons don't seem to be responding. Fuse?
  15. Hi all, couple of questions regarding my newly installed cluster I bought off of eBay: I just replaced my speedo cluster on my 95 SE because the odo was dead. I replaced it with another 95 one, only it has a digital tripometer. That's the only thing that doesn't work...does that have different wiring compared to my old analogue one? Is there a way to make it work? Also, since I hooked everything up and drove around a while...very happy that I have a working odo now with the same mileage as before...I noticed my CEL came on. Is there a conflict with the speed sensor? I'm baffled. Thanks in advance...
  16. Were your guys a nationwide service?
  17. My first car: 2001 Sentra XE Auto with '04 SE-R rims Then some chick pulled out in front of me and I wacked her big time! My current Pathy wasn't my next car, it's just a dailer driver to preserve my Acura.
  18. Wow, glad you're okay, man! Your Pathy took as much of the impact as she could for ya!
  19. I've been rear-ended twice now that I've had my Pathy and now the spare tire carrier is off for good—I couldn't get it to shut w/o it banging into the hatch. That gone along with the spare tire and trailer hitch is about 100+ pounds. I didn't really notice a difference in performance but I got close to 1-2mpg better on the highway. Handling wise, I do feel the lightness of the rear end but it never feels scary or unstable. As a plus, it looks like I lifted the rear end a couple of inches!
  20. I also have a pre-cat and was considering just cutting it off and welding in a piece of pipe in that section.
  21. ^mine has enough trouble hauling itself around! I'll never tow with it.
  22. Oh, one more thing: my first Pathy had a broken exhaust hanger that allowed the muffler to bang on the frame when I hit bumps...something else to keep in mind.
  23. I traced a REALLY annoying noise in the back of my truck to some wire connectors inside the inner fender being loose and banging around. The previous owner wired it for towing and the installers I guess just left everything loosing to move about. A few wire ties and the problem is gone! Might want to check that out. This is accessed by the little plastic door by the rear taillight in the cargo bay.
