  1. Hope this isn't a repost. I've search, but nothing comparable came up. Well, here goes: It looks like I will be towing my sister's car to my grandparents place. My Pathy is stock with no external auto tranny cooler or any other trick mods (except the tow hitch and wiring). It has 94K miles on the clock and as far as I know, the auto tranny is original and in good working order with clean fluid. The LSD diff also had a recent transplant of fluid. Do you guys think it will be safe to tow this far? Or to tow at all? I've never done it before with this truck. I've heard the our trannys suffer a bit without any cooling aide. Here's more details: It will be all freeway travel where I probably will travel around 65-70mph Only three hills to contend with The outside temp is a steady 68-73ºF The car being towed weighs about 2400lbs Only other weight in the truck is my 80lb Germen Shepard Appreciate any input...thanks
  2. Let us know what you think of them when you get them on. I was considering those bad boys myself. The extent of my off-roading is basically washboard dirt trails and an occasional stream. I think they should do the job. Good luck!
  3. Thanks. On that timing belt thing, there is a little label under the hood that states the belt was replaced at 35,000 miles in '97. What's that about? Do you guys think I could go 130,000 without any problems?
  4. Hello all. I'm new here and pretty new to the Pathfinder in general. I just bought this one a couple of weeks ago. As you can see, it's bone stock and in pretty good condition. Planning on a few mods in the next few months. Tint, grill guard and maybe some suspension tweeks. I recently have been only a car nut (own a 02 Acura RSX and 74.5 MGB) until now. So far, I love it! She's a '95 XE auto 4X4 (would have preferred a manual) with 92,000miles and so far, I haven't noticed any of the notorious lifter noise from the engine.
