Yeah piece of cake, no worries. All you nee it a 6" or longer philips head and you are good to go!

The fuel system needs pressure. If you just recently replaced the fuel filter, are both the in and out fuel lines good and snug? I would suspect if it started this right after changing the fuel filter that it might be an issue with something you did, perhaps without knowing. If it has been sitting up a long time it could be a clogged fuel line possibly, just another thought. Might also check the air filer and the air intake for something starving it for air. If it has been sitting up, some small critter might have nested in there. (happened to me once!)

Yes and no. You should replace the fuel filter once a year on a vehicle this old. On a new(er) vehicle just replace it by mileage as recommended by the manufacturer. Remember, your truck is 12-17 years old (depending on what year you have) so yes it will have stuff i the tank, it just happens. People do not think abut it or realize but there is a lot of dust, polen and other particilates in the air and everytime you open the gas tank you expose the fuel to it, not to mention when it was loaded on the turnk and loaded into the gas station tank under the ground. It would also not be a bad idea on a vehicle this old to get the tank removed and cleaned or at least start thinking about it. You should also look at having the injector cleaned properly. And when I say cleanded I dont mean the $50 oil change station special where they just run some chemicals through the injectors I mean the $100+ kind of cleaning where they remove them and clean them. If you are really hard-core you might just want to replace all 6 injectors. You should also look at having the throttle body removed and have all the carbon build up cleaned out. You are porbably getting a lot of carbon buildup inside if you have a dirty tank. All of this will get you some better gas milege, responiveness and horsepower out to the engine you might not relaize you were missing! Just my thoughts and opinions.

Yep, I had the same problem with mine a about 2 weeks ago. Replaced the tan box and it works perfect now. I went to my local Nissan dealer and apparently it only comes with the Wiper motor from them. Nissan wanted $165 for a new one! I got a used one at a junk yard for $5 and now have a spare wiper motor.

My impressions.. OK One of the guys at work got a new 07 back in January. I have driven it a few times around town and even driven it on dirt roads with him. I now always call it his minivan.

I was going to suggest blasting caps and dynamite, but I am known to be a little heavy-handed on occasions. Glad to hear it worked out.

My 95 pathy had pretty orange stickers attached on the differentials saying it was LSD.

water in fuel? moisture in distributor or in/around plugs?

I got very messy today. I decided to check and drain/refill my front and rear differentials and my transfer case fluids. I was glad I did. I started out by degreasing and cleaning all around the drain plugs and filler plugs so i wouldnt get funk/dirt/mud/animal bits inside when I went to fill. That took awhile. The level of oil in the rear was fine, the front was about an inch low. The oil on both front and back that was drained out was rather dirty, good news was hardly no metal shavings on the magnets and a visual inspection inside with my mag light the gears did not appear to have hardly any build up on them. They were much prettier than when I replaced the differential on my brothers 78 celica a few years ago. The transfer case fluid was also rather dirty, looked like it was starting to burn, and the case was only about half to 2/3 full at best. If I was to guess I would say I drained out only 1 quart of transmission fluid. Not good! Again very few metal shavings on the magnet so that was good at least. Glad I did it when I did. After looking at the drain plugs, filler plugs and the seals on them, and factoring in all the other original parts on my truck (including many I have already replaced), I am 100% convinced that what I did today has never been done on my truck ever. This makes me very much want to take on the A/T next weekend, mostly out of fear. I dont know if it is my imagination or what, but it does seem to move more smoother now than before.

I was under my truck earlier today poking around and noticed that the cover over the fuel intake from the gas cap to the gas tank had two screw on it, the bottom one was lose and when I thumped it a few times, it vibrated a little made noise. I tightened it up and no problem. Maybe your is worse?

Sounds like you did it right and just forgot somethig, maybe even something silly like as mentioned above. IF it fired up all normal the first time you had it all right, if it was off to start with it would have protested, coughed, etc greatly. But a thought, did you remember to torque properly everything? If not it could have slipped right after starting and thrown it off. I did that once before on a GM, it slipped out of time after a minute or so.

Well, if you do a rebuild, at least you know it will go for awhile with no problems....look on the bright side!

my first thought was that it was the Cravenlator or maybe the Felusium Injector....

So.... I have to ask, is there any concern for heat causing an internally mounted fire extinguiser? What about a gas can mounte don the back like I have sen on a few trucks? I have always wondered.....
