Yo... where's the Xterra section? AAaawwww... come on you guys!! You're killin' me here.... Are you telling me that I need to go over to www.thenewx.org but but but that forum is so slow it feels like I'm running 14.4k on a 133hz 286!!! Can we have a Gen2 section over here ( 'cause you are all so awesome !) I mean, you know, it's not like we aren't all family right?

I read up on the forum and I chose to let the shop do the starter but it's a relaxed weekend of wrenching if you do it at home. Easier with a body lift. Sent from my SM-G386W using Tapatalk

So that has to be either an injector that's stuck open or is getting an electrical signal full time keeping the injector open... I can't think of anything else that would do that!

MAF wiring or a sketchy ground? Mine was a Idle Air Control Valve that was super dirty. I took it and the throttle body apart and cleaned them... truck ran fine afterwards... I also find that pulling the two battery terminals and touching the main positive and negative wires to each other seem to get everything back to factory settings.... mind you you do need to fiddle with every button and switch afterwards while the truck is running which is a bit of a pain.

Yea I have tried that but then no one listens to me when I tell them that the blah blah blah needs to be replaced this year and no it can't go another year. Then it breaks and everyone is like : 'why didn't you say something'.... Everyone else also makes 40-70% more than I do but none of them can spin a wrench. So I end up the hired help and like Rodney Dangerfield. .. I don't get no respect! Thanks for the lowdown on the Gen2!! Sent from my SM-G386W using Tapatalk

Yea I was looking at the numbers in site for transport Canada and I saw that the 3.3 gets worse except for the supercharged one. But finding a supercharger that doesn't need are rebuild is a challenge in itself. I'm leaning towards an N50 (gen2+) anyway.. maybe I'll get a bit more respect at the family meetings in a newer vehicle. Sent from my SM-G386W using Tapatalk

Post up a list and I put your name on stuff! I am still driving it around until I get an X so.... as long as you don't need an alternator or a valve cover! Those we'll pull off later! Pav: same deal!! Sent from my SM-G386W using Tapatalk

I am not in any kind of position to be able to keep it on the road so the fender is yours. Antenna with it? Anything else you need? Sent from my SM-G386W using Tapatalk

I don't think I can afford your hourly rate Adam! The new list of what is wrong is longer than I care to write out here but I will anyway so I can refer back to it in the future: Frame is broken above, in front of and behind the rear axle; the DeDion tube is only welded to a part of a plate that isn't attached to anything; the drivers' side lower spring perch is a patch and 1/2" too high; the windshield frame is rusted letting water in anytime it rains. I _still_ haven't fixed / hotwired more than one window to operate; the driving lights don't work (again); the front end accident that it had has bent the front of the frame; the rockers panels are not... attached... anymore; no panel behind the rear door is intact. The rear door is rusted through at the lower window corner on both sides; all of the weather stripping leaks water into the cabin; both front floor panels are rusted into separate pieces and leak freezing cold air and water inside during the winter; and the timing belt, water pump and thermostat need to be done in the next few thousand. Time to put her to bed.

I'm thinking hard about what to do _with_ the Pathfinder now that the frame is broken... again.... for the third time. I don't have a garage, shop or parking spot and the family doesn't want to look at it on the lawn at the cottage. Michèle, my wife, thinks I should drive either the $1000 CR-V or the 7 year old Chevrolet instead of buying a 2007 XTERRA. Ideas? Suggestions? I would like to keep the Pathfinder but there is so much wrong that I can't even mustard the energy to start fixing everything. Sent from my SM-G386W using Tapatalk

Running Issues AFTER Fixing MAF Ground
SpecialWarr replied to ubertalldude's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
The computer does have a learning and memory function that is timed to the number of start-run cycles. It may be that but I would think that it's more likely some parameters in the computer that caused a reaction to the new good signal from the MAF. Same reason why it was running like crap before! -
I was going to install some new windshield squirters and a power window switch but realized that I had forgotten both at home. So I cleaned the inside of the truck after a muddy weekend last weekend. ... sort of. Sent from my SM-G386W using Tapatalk

I spent the weekend at Augusta, Ontario getting right dirty at the motorsport park. One of the fine gentlemen that I work with got a call from a friend who told us about a mud pit, 4x4, atv, dirt bike and monster truck party that was going to be this weekend. So we booked down there Friday night and rolled in about midnight and spent the weekend getting ridiculously dirty. There were no other Pathfinders, 1 X-terra, 5 4Runners, and Toyota Hilux turbo diesel... two of the 4Runners (on 35" tires) and myself ended up in the mud pit. All three of us were stuck up to the axles! My weak - ass welds let most of the hitch come off but the fine gentlemen in the monster truck actually spun the wheels trying to pull me out.... there was a Helofalot of laughter. Pictures to come! Weekend in mud pit: 1 alternator 1 horn 2 times stuck up to the axles 5 modified trucks pulled out with a stock Pathfinder 18 beers consumed 1 Ford Explorer redlined until detonated in the mud pit. All good times had by all in attendance! !!!! Sent from my SM-G386W using Tapatalk

I would take a look at the fusible links at the battery. If you have no power to anything that is the place to start. Squeeze the colored links and feel for a hot or very soft one. They are the 50 amp fuses so you could check for continuity if you take them off of the battery side and probe the ends of the connections. 0 is good on the ohms.... infinity is bad! The new stereo is awesome.... but now my one power window that worked....... ........ doesn't. Oh where have I gone wrong! too many wires too many questions, too many broken bolts.
-
I finished my first stereo system installation. .... in any vehicle. ... ever. New wire to the door speakers and new antenna. One would think that after owning 7 vehicles I would have done one by now. And I am now at beers and getting ready to watch the 24 hrs of Nurburgring! Sent from my SM-G386W using Tapatalk

I re-re-painted my rear bumper.... after "encouraging" an asshat behind me to backup a few feet. After he cut 3 people off and ran into the back of the Pathfinder. .. twice. I thought I would help him into the other lane. Sent from my SM-G386W using Tapatalk

I can't measure the passenger side since it's not intact... and I didn't order one because it looked good from the outside of the housing. Sent from my SM-G386W using Tapatalk

Mine measures out to 1140mm (45inches) for the drivers' side from the cable end to the beginning of the hooking block (the block itself is 3mm thick and 45mm long).

I have one floating around in my box with my radio that I can go and measure.... just a second.

Thirty minutes of looking and I can't find anything on google.

1990 Nissan Pathfinder 4X4ing issue with wiring
SpecialWarr replied to ColtonCoyle's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Did you take a look at the fusible links on the positive battery terminal and check them with a voltmeter? There is a possibility that one is overheated and melted....not that I did that to mine... a few years ago... by accident.
