  1. Howdy! The question I have is can anyone tell me where I could find a compatibility chart of the DTRL Modules that fit the Nissan family from the era? Does one exist? There is a guy not too far away who is selling one for a 1995 Maxima and I would like to know if they are compatible or not! I believe that mine is dying as I recently reattached the wires according to the FSM wiring diagram and it worked well for a short while but has refused to light up the tail lights and interior lights on a number of increasing occasions. Ideas? Re-wiring procedures? Did I just do a bad job?
  2. This is what happens when you don't change the bushings. The broken one is off of the drivers' side:
  3. I had no choice but to replace both tension rods as I broke the rear-most half of one off with the tool that I fabricated over the weekend. I ended up getting both sides done in about 3 hours with my way-too-wide tool that I had to pull on until it hit the torsion bar, take it off turn it around pull another 10mm take it off, turn it around and go at it again..... why didn't you tell me that it needed less than the whole socket length? And I'm just waiting on Canadian Tire to let me know when the DuraTracs are in so I can get them installed just before our annual product launch
  4. Banned for believing everything on the internet is true!!!
  5. Yea bushnut.... maybe so .. but there was a mini mall 1km behind us that he passed a minute before! But really I don't mind, I think it looks great and would most likely do that if I had a street car .... but I guess the woodsy / redneck / mountain biker-hooligan won out with a Pathfinder after all of these years!!! At any rate, I don't mind what they do as long as they don't drive like retards and ruin it for the rest of us..... but it's now too late for that ( twice over I might add ), so I guess I'll have to move to a more intelligent / less belligerent province.
  6. I suspect both! Speaking of which: this morning I was rolling to work behind a GMC pulling a trailer, a Civic and a 2006-7 hellaflushed/riced Toyota Celica. We were cruising along at 50km/h (small street, with cyclists and a crap-load of trees), the legal limit. all three of us pulled up to the stop sign, The Celica on the other hand pulled into the other lane and stood on the gas, accelerating through the stop sign, passing the Civic and the GMC. The teenage driver and his also male friend pulled back into the lane and proceeded to turn left to the ramp for the highway 1/4 mile ahead of the normal people..... It is for those young and clearly retarded drivers that all right-hand drive cars less than 20 years old are now illegal. Add to that, the hellaflush / hyper-cambered craze and there you have the reason for the legislation.
  7. Banned for using his " big" words
  8. IF you go with the pacesetters as I did, make sure you: 1) mow down the lip on the front of the cat towards the engine since the Pacesetters do not have a relief inside the tube for it to fit into and 2) remove the motor hoist on the back of the engine. It prevents the headers from sitting on the heads and sealing. The hoist block is held on to the head with 2 10mm bolts and it's hiding between the firewall on the drivers' side and the top of the valve cover. It bends around the head's outer upper corner near the brake booster. As for mufflers: I'm running the stock one but everyone else has their own ideas!
  9. I'm going to have to take a video on my way back from work one day this week and let you guys decide. Most of the paved roads in Quebec already look worse than a tertiary dirt road in most of North America. But we have lots of hot girls, great parties, great food, and nine months of every-corner-is-a-drift-o-matic. [emoji2]
  10. That DeLorean is just the best WTF! At least it won't corrode too quickly when y'all git out swampun in it....
  11. That is soooo mean..... just for that you are banned for breaking my He-Man hero worship.
  12. If we consider that I just bought my first one last year I have about seventeen..... thousand.....in the last year....;-)
  13. Nice but of luck there! Good on ya for working at it all day, I would have given up at about the three hour mark and gone for a beer!!
  14. Well..... did't I just get myself into a whole mess of more trouble on Saturday. I decided that it was a great day to pull the engine's injector/ IACV/ Knock sensor/ everything important inside the engine bay harness and replace it with the new one from Nissan. And so I did.... and it took me 9 hours one cup of coffee, a bowl of cereal, snapping at my fiancee (sorry baby!) and two days to recover.....but on the bright side I know have only the one injector that doesn't work and the alternator wiring to repair.
  15. I'd mail you mine because I now have a truck that I can get under without having to jack the damn thing up to be able to fix something. But Canadian Tire is having a sale on this week for 2 ton jackstands with locking pins: http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/michelin-2t-axle-stand-0090029p.html#.U8lC8pSrrm4
  16. As far as the springs are concerned I'm not sure... but it seems to me that someone mentioned that almost any Jeep Grand Cherokee from '92-'96 front spring with the pigtails cut off will work for the lift, but that's in another post in The Garage section. The shocks can only be checked when they are off of the truck though. TO CHECK THEM: stand them upright in a corner for 24hrs ( to let he oil settle after removal), pull one out at a time to prevent disturbing the others and pull up while holding the bottom to the floor. If the shock shaft moves up the gas charge is blown and the shock is shot, if it doesn't push down 2-3 inches and pull up hard, if it comes up slowly all the way up it's probably good. If it comes up slowly then the last bit quickly the oil charge has leaked out past the piston and it's shot. To review: if there is constant resistance in both directions and through it's whole travel after having been left upright it should be good to go.
  17. Mmmmmmm.....I think that outer bearing is done.
  18. Terranovation is banned for not banning anyone ! Ha yeaaAaa.... HUHhhh!!!
  19. Finally replaced the front wheel outer bearing! it only took 2 hours during my work day ( fortunately I arrived 1hr30min early and took ten minutes of lunch) and everything works perfectly so far!! Damn just wait until I get a photo of the remnants of the bearing!!!
  20. I'm banning k9sar for banning Precise1 for being too general.... dammit!
  21. Banned for being psychic! 'Cause you can't see his engine bay.
  22. Yes, but what does that have to do with Nissan Pathfinder/ Terranno??
