  1. I could but we would have to do that under the shadow of darkness.... Mordor and its henchmen have eyes everywhere...
  2. What length of spoke? Diameter? Straight-pull or j-bend.... road brake cable or mountain bike/ cross/ hybrid?

  5. And your bearings are going to look rustier than this:
  6. I would expect that since Seafoam contains petroleum distillates it would clean the plugs if you drive it after cleaning the intake out. No? If it cleans the intake of accumulated oil deposits then it should have little problem cleaning a spark plug of the same deposits. But correct me if I'm wrong please!
  7. Geez, that guy otta be a moderator with that kind of efficiency!
  8. Hahaha... like rocker panel dents, tree dents and mechanic dents!!
  9. sorry to hear that k9sar... at least it didn't get a window!
  10. Park Tools Frame Alignment Tool....it's a huge piece of chromed tool steel, slight arc about 20" long with teeth cut into it welded on a handle about 26" long..... it looks like something a ninja may have left it in the truck after i dropped him off somewhere and it does not get used except under extreme duress. So not used....yet.
  11. I took apart my engine hoist and put it in the truck. One-time use on a Subaru. Then i decided that i would clean and lube the seatblets.... geee... they retract fast enough to scare me now! Though i have to say that Rebelord takes the cake this weekend... that just sounds like a lot of work!!
  12. That is a -very- nice car, our G.M. has one in white.... and a Porsche... also in white.
  13. You don't like the V-8 in the Magnum lerch? We have one of our guys who has one but I really don't see it as a classic... it looks cheap and plastic-y inside... or maybe I've gotten used to the fine red tweed interior of a certain Pathfinder and expect that kind of class in other cars!
  14. The PCV is easy to check: remove it from the intake and give it a shake, rattles are good... no rattles= no good. You might want to check the rest of the hoses and see if they are tight on their fittings. I found that this helped a lot, but I suspect that the MAF is a bit dirty, with maybe a spotty ground wire. If it isn't that the only other thing I can think of off of the top of my head is a small crack in the intake accordion boot between the MAF and the throttle body.... but I'm listing this stuff as it pops up in my brain... but I'm not a mechanic; I just spin wrenches.
  15. mmMMM... a 5/8" would be a -16 size (nominal size of ID 5/8") a -12 would be a 3/8" o-ring.... a -112 is a 1/2" by thicker cross-section... The best thing to do is measure the thing with calipers (the inside diameter, outside diameter and the cross-section)... all sizes are plus or minus at least 0.005" so maybe measure in mm (I find it easier to measure smaller things in mm. Take that to the home depot / rona / target / walmart / napa / canadian tire and / or wherever and bring your calipers just in case! 16. I'm sure there is a download for the wiring around here in the garage section!
  17. No worries man, I was just thinking about what makes a "Classic" is based on and it seems to me that a lot of that is a unique / special look .... it also a lot of opinion! I'm not saying I like the way it looks but I work with a lot of guys who are in their early twenties and most of them like it's look because it's different than the cookie-cutter civics/ MX5 / Toyota whatevers. IN twenty years when the cars, I assume we are talking about, ARE classics _we_ will be the old guys ( jjeeezzzzz I'm gonna be sixty...damn... that's not cool) and the classics will be what the 40 year-olds will be after.... which I would guess will be the GT-Rs and possibly the Juke!
  18. I did a thorough examination of the whole intake from the airbox mounts through to the knock sensor. Which involved pulling the whole upper intake off three times at different points for various things that I had to check, fix and change. At any rate the #2 injector was bad (activating electrically but not injecting fuel... clogged with fuel gunk?) and I managed to make things worse while getting the new fuel pressure regulator and high pressure hoses installed. I pushed down on the #3 FI wires and cracked them or the base, lost a retainer clip under the intake somewhere and tore the paper intake gasket oh well..... wreck it once and learn right? Anyway the beat from the east runs awesome after all the weekends and evenings of work! Now for some of them annoying electrical issues: power window switch on the passenger side crapped out months ago, I guessss I should fix that after I get to the rear window wiper....
  19. The only one i know: one of our outside sales reps was at the Ducati dealership taking a demo out for a test drive. The odo had 2 kilometers on it, the color was perfect, it was the exact model he wanted with the options he wanted and the only one east of Alberta. Pulled out of the dealership did about 150 feet and someone driving a truck missed a stop. The rep, being a mountain biker, had the reaction to chuck the bike forward. The bike was totalled, he bounced off of the front wheel/tire and spent a few hours in the hospital. Luckiest guy i think i've ever met!
  20. Agreed! Last time i was out that way was for a mountain bike race in the early 90's!!
  21. Thanks for the heads up; sorry about the really negative experience though.
  22. I was just thinking that the GT-R, the Tesla S, and the BR-Z would be the easy ones but i would hedge a bet that the Juke is actually going to be a classic also.
  23. That is funny...i would never do that but i know people who would!
  24. I have one other thing you may want.... she might enjoy it too:
  25. Update: tension rods are done, Pacesetter headers installed, new Maxima SOHC alternator installed!!yay!
