  1. Mine would have worked but the PO changed the shocks for... whatever is on there. And left the harness connectors dangling in the salt, grit and dust.
  2. So that'll be the 4" lift springs then? 2" to take up the weight of the new rack and wheel to get you back to stock height and another 2" to get your 2" lift back!!
  3. I finally had a nice "warm" day to install my daytime running light module from Canadian Tire. 90minutes and everything is tied down, wired and working like a charm. Monday will be soldering the connections and weather resistant heat shrink tubing. Notes for anyone else running an early wagon: R.h low beam is RED/BLACK wire; the L.h low is RED/GREEN!
  4. I have to agree with bushnut and pav on the cornering technique. Since the road clearing around here is hit-n-miss or it snows a bit the day after there is often a compact layer of ice 2-3" thick in braking zones. The 4x4 shift - on-the-fly keeps my 1990 pulling through the corners.
  5. Graphite lock lubricant is the best thing for locks. It may be available in both liquid and powdered form where you live but you'll have to hit the local auto shop, I prefer the liquid since it tends to work the graphite into the mechanics of the beast and doesn't wash out when dry. I use the powdered stuff in the house on door hinges and the toolbox locks. Stay away from WD-40, it's made to remove water from electronics, that's all it does well.
  6. I have a 1990 and it has the key-keeper. I have never thought about taking it off but I'll look into making it stay in its open position tonight. It may not be that difficult.
  7. They are indeed located on the passenger side of the transmission and with little space to spin a wrench, like usual.
  8. http://www.amazon.co...9V9G7VJDXZJ2RWQ Is what I bought. I had it shipped and installed with the 2 screws on top of the original console tray lid.
  9. I also looked for just that same thing last year, gave up after six weeks of searching the internet and ordered a Grant with an installation kit. No auto-signal cancelling. I thought about trying to replicate the cancel ring but just went with "whatever"!
  10. HAHA! Made in Montreal my friend... good quality steel from recycled bridges and collapsed overpasses!
  11. Yea, that's a 15 gallon for sure, even with the base timing off and missing a cylinder I was still getting an easy 300 miles out of mine when I bought it. Now that the timing, sensors and vacuum lines are all new and firing on all six I get 380 or so out of my 20gal..... I've been looking around on the internet and, as adamzan pointed out, while there seem to be some things listed as 15 gal units they are all the same dimensions which fit the 3.0 Collapse Tank Assy-Fuel - Part Code: 17201 17202-41G02 Tank Assy-Fuel Replaced by: 17202-61G00 VG30E, VG30I 01 $467.20 $352.64 17202-41G08 Tank Assy-Fuel Manufacturer's Note: Limited Availability Z24I 01 $405.43 $306.02 Replacement Fuel Tank For 1991 Nissan Pathfinder SE 6 Cyl 3.0L Specifications:15 gallons / 57 liters34.38 x 20.75 x 11.75 in.With pan PART#: REPN670108 MFR#: REPN670108 Spectra Fuel Tank For 1991 Nissan Pathfinder SE 6 Cyl 3.0L SPECTRA FUEL TANK, STEEL, SILVER, 15 GALLONS/57 LITERS -- 34-3/8 x 20-3/4 x 11-3/4 in.; With lock ring and pan; Does not include seals and f..... view more PART#: SPINS8B Dorman Fuel Tank For 1991 Nissan Pathfinder SE 6 Cyl 3.0L DORMAN FUEL TANK, STEEL, BLACK, SOLD INDIVIDUALLY -- 15 gallons/57 liters; 34.38 in. 12. I decide to figure out if the 4x4 still works after putzing around all summer in RWD only. The tracks up the bank in the snow would seem to indicate that it does!
  13. RockAuto has this listing: PLATINUM PRO FTK010142 34-3/8 x 20-3/4 x 11-3/4 and: Fuel Capacity (g) 15 Fuel Capacity (l) 57 Fuel Tank Coating Paint Height (in) 11.75" Installation Hardware Included Lock Ring , Gasket Length (In) 34.375 Lock Ring/O Ring Yes Package Contents Fuel Tank , Lock Ring, O Ring Shell Material Steel Width (in) 20.75" Alternate/OEM Part Number(s): 1720261G00 So what you want is something way taller than 12" OR something that is more like 34" x 34"
  14. I don't have any idea but that thing has an electrical plug, so it has to be connected to a part of the main harness and not the engine sub-harness. I changed my sub-harness and the only things that are on that is the AAC/ AIV , the knock sensor, the ignition plug, the coil plug and the FI plugs. I would take a long hard look at the TPS setup on the truck and ask yourself: where does the FSM tells you how to set that thing up!
  15. I replaced the coolant temperature sensor.... took 15 minutes. Reset the two codes 14 and 33. And then decided that I am moving on to apple turnovers....a box of four... and a film for the rest of the day.
  16. Dumb-ass question from the guy in the back: is it just the manual trans that have the VSS?
  17. How exactly do you get the control module apart? I didn't see a split line on mine this summer when I rewired it.
  18. Does the XTerra have a step-down on its rack or is just that my imagination?
  19. You may want to try the METER fuse in the fuse box. I found that it has to be intact to get anything to happen in my wd21!
  20. Dear lord.... well, I guess I shoulda had a bit more coffee before the "enter" button then.... sorry, my bad!
  21. The only way I can figure "11:00" orientation is through a typo. That reads 1pm as far as I can tell!!
  22. It looks like Kingman and I were wrong! Mine is oriented exactly like that.
