  1. I think it's awesome that you don't mind wrenching on your own truck, that makes you more cool that just being an owner!
  2. The guy leaning over the side is yelling at the grunts to push!
  3. There is supposed to be a piece of foam inside the top of the door to help clean and wipe off the windows which should also keep them from rattling. Not that I have ever taken one out but it can't be that easy considering the space in there. Installing one has got to be problematic.
  4. No worries! Send Fleurys (on here) a message and get some of his rear spring spacers and then crank the torsion bars to their stops and BOOM! You got a inexpensive lift!
  5. Is Nissan undecided about which they should use? Dude it's a truck. .... trucks have frames.
  6. Yep and our prices jumped back up 25% last week so I am back to paying $100 a week in gas after a short break of paying only $80 a week!
  7. Ah... yes... because the alternator charges the battery so it should read higher then 13.8v if everything is still working! Thanks gents!
  8. Thanks adamzan! I just patched in a piece of 16gauge wire but I have no idea if that is safe/legal/ a good idea. I did get him to turn on, run and drive the 6 feet into the shop but I have no idea if it can make it back home tonight. On a side note, would you have an inner fender that we could get off to replace the one that is split 18 out of the 24" that's on the truck now??
  9. Update: I can hear the fuel pump running, and see the dash clock backlight but nothing else. Fuses have not been checked but I suspect that the fusible links at the battery are toast from the bouncing around.
  10. SO i had a fun drive to work this morning! I don't think I've ever seen any car do that before but then I've never had a Pathfinder before either. Drove to work in the truck like usual except every time I hit a bump the volt meter would jump. Loud enough to make noise when it bounced off of the top of the gauge.... that scared the cr!@p out of me the first time. I had a minute of "Transformers" panic when the machines started to show a lot of attitude and feared for my life (for a sec). The truck kept bouncing the meter kept bouncing and now the truck doesn't appear to want to do anything including light any lights..... i guess I'm welding a steel plate onto the truck and hoping that'll fix it. yay me.
  11. I can post some pictures of the wiring diagrams from a '90 FSM when I get back home later today if that might be helpful!
  12. Dude I can remove the lower bolt from outside the truck..... for now.
  13. Welcome! I hope someone can add more info but I am pretty sure that there are at least two diff. gear sets and at least one LSD available. There is a 4.33 and a 4.65 gear set available in the previous truck (mine) rear diff. carrier could be an H233B but I am sure that Precise1, nunya, RedPath88 or someone else can chime in with details!!
  14. I think I ordered one from www.aaanissanparts.com for $225-ish
  15. Although I must admit that when I printed out the mirrors I was less than impressed with how much light it reflected..... maybe I should try 'Print-as-Image' next time?<br />
  16. I managed to repair the rear tail light/stop lamp combo thingy. I picked up a 3 wire socket from the local NAPA to replace the nasty one. I did figure out the the stop lamp wire is green with a yellow stripe. Since the socket only had one black on one side and the red on the 'hook' side I just guessed and tried it out. Wrong! I had wired the black socket wire to the stop lamp. So a minor wire swap later I brought the light assembly inside and siliconed all three of the lamp sockets and the electrical connection.
  17. Thanks B. !! We actually have a bore-o-scope at the shop but honestly I should be able to manage through the auxiliary lower body - to - bumper vent that I mentioned before!
  18. I actually left the original knock sensor there as I was more interested in getting a operating engine electrical harness on. I've had no trouble with that sensor though.
