Does anybody recall the max tow rating for a 94? Yes, I searched, no, I didn't find it. I don't remember what the stock rating is, although I've got an aftermarket class III receiver hitch.

Ditto on the EGR. I pulled mine off, cleaned it with intake/carb cleaner, went through its the movements, cleaned again , repeat, etc. I know people will cry foul about possibly ruining the rubber on the diaphram, but if its already shot then its worth a try, right? It's been about a 1 1/2 to 2 years since I did this with no ill effects. No input on the other issue though, sorry.

What exactly does the dead leaf have to do with... Pathfinders, offroading, dirt, mud, trucks, etc. etc. etc. etc.? This is a forum about Pathfinders and people offroading Pathfinders, people with Pathfinders, people with Pathfinder question. Why is there an issue with having Pathfinders represented in the header to the masses?

If you want a locker, probably the cheapest is a LockRight (that's what i and a few others have).

Same here, and I've been driving on it almost 2 years now. We had snow and ice this week, so I was shifting in and out of 4-low and 4-hi with no issues. The boot looks squished and crappy, but it works fine.

I'd agree with 88, a 2nd vehicle suddenly gains extreme value when you're half way through a project and need to run to the shop, or its late Sunday night, you're not done and you need to get to work in the morning. You're really not looking at a ton of money in general from your list, depending on what you want to do. The engine and tranny are obviously wild cards that nobody can judge or guess on really, it just depends on your knowledge and experience with the ones you have. One person's rubbish might go on for 150k miles, while another guy's "gem" might go for 500 miles. Those are the dice ya gotta roll. With that in mind: Battery: $60 or so for a good reliable brand, up to over $100-200 for an Optima Shocks: depends, you could get decent stock replacements for $125 for 4, or go to 4 Ranchos or ProComps for under $200 Steering: this is another wild card- is there something specific wrong to be replaced $, such as tie rod ends, ball joints, bent or worn parts, or are you wanting to upgrade to something like L&P steering kits $$$ "All new bushings": which ones? (UCA, swaybar, etc) Most can be found in poly from $15-35 per kit If those are your only worries, and your not looking to go to the moon and not everything is toast, you could budget say $500 +/- and probably be @!*%ting in tall cotton. What's your other vehicle?

I got one from GI Joe's and use it in my basket rack for camping gear. Can't recall the brand, I'll look for the box if I still have it. So far its great, really rugged, and keeps stuff clean and dry. I think I only paid like $19.95 on sale and it holds an area roughly probably 40"x40"x24 tall or so.

That's not bad really, I think all said and done I paid like $140 and we live near each other.

That sux, if the truck is in decent condition it would be worth probably closer to $6K+ out here (west coast) with low miles. For $2-3K, I wouldn't be surprised if they totaled it either. But good luck regardless!

For Tbars, yes, try re-indexing them. If no go, SwayAway makes good stuff from my experience (approx. 35k miles driven on and off road). I was just being stubborn, and replaced them rather than trying to reindex the stock ones. Mainly I wanted the lift and new stuff, but they do seem to ride better too. Comparing stock stuff versus aftermarket at the same2-3" lift height, its like the stock tbars ride rough lifted and feel like they're maxed out, while the SwayAways are more like 50-75% effort to do the same job. A bit more bounce and movement all around, because they still have a bit more give before they're maxed.

Ditto on the weld-on. Use a spare or buy a cheap replacement socket, maybe from a pawn shop or something, tack in in place, and go for it. I had a local tire shop do the removal after my key socket went AWOL, ,although it wasn't clean (burn through on my center caps, but at least it was pretty much free with some other work I was having done). Good luck!

And/or, go with a suspension lift kit (or piece on together yourself), then go with a steering kit from L&P to be semi-unbreakable. Granted, I haven't gone to L&P yet, and I haven't broken yet.

Ditto on the stock speaker amp, make sure the stock one is getting power, otherwise you have a no-go. The alternative if you don't like the stock amp or can't/don't want to figure it out, is to just run new wire to each speaker. Its not hard, just takes some time. If you're already doing it, and if you're into sound, you might consider just going to a quality speaker wire and an amp, etc.

Are you interested just in the style, or do you want LED lights and such? To each their own, sorry for the flaming of others. Can't help on the clears, but if you're just looking for brighter, you can get stock replacement pretty cheap on eBay and such that will light up like Christmas compared to stock.

Same here, in line near the battery. Its not a bad idea to go through things, though, just to make sure and clean them up.

Not a bad idea, that could at least rule a few things out. Like a worn belt, worn/problematic pulley, etc. Its easy and free.

Tons of previous coverage = search. (sorry, had to beat them to it) Search long ago, there are many posts by 88Pathoffroad, Statikuz and me (Mr. Pickles) along with many others. For your 95, you'll need the AC (4x4parts.com) kit, or you'll need to source the 2 rear most bolts on your own. Other than that, the kit comes with pretty much everything you'll need. The instructions are lacking, but do a lot of research and searching on here, and be sure to post up any questions. Many of us have done the install, and can help you out quick. :type:
