  1. Sup guys! In the new 2004 Platinum that I picked up. It has the factory Bose 6 disc in dash, cassette and Sirius radio. Which the Sirius is working. However, it does have some hiccups. In my great google search, all I could find was a PDF on diagnostic from TitanTalk forum. Not much else. I am looking for Part #'s etc of the factory box. I'm thinking, since it is from 2004. Maybe a update box will connect better etc. Codec maybe? I dont know. I just want to research and see if its worth finding parts for it. Maybe cheaper and better off to just redo the entire sound setup. Need some google guru's on this!! Thanks, Rebelord Edit: From what I have found out, Is that the factory Head Unit may say Bose on it. But its actually a Clarion unit!?! Some preliminary possible part #s: Reciever 999U9 NV004 Antenna?: 999U9 VQ008 (Doesnt look like mine though)
  2. For the 3.3l there is no idle learn. Having your fast idle cam innop will give you those cold start issues. Also may be cause of your O2 sensors throwing codes. As the ECM ia expecting a higher idle with certain reading but getting otherwise. As for your high idle in gear. Make sure its fully warmed up. My 99 does pretty much the same until coolant temp reaches nominal 179-185° . Then all is good. Again contributed by your fast idle being broken. There is a proper link for the FSM for your year. Surging at light throttle on highway. And fast idle can also be from a vacuum leak. Check everything for if you have a broken vac line. Or cracking intake tube. Sent from my Moto X
  3. I've used it with my local 4x4 club. Wire brush or scotch brite the axles etc. Gob the Ospho on. Turns black, then rattle can paint it. Stuff works. Maybe steer clear of brake and fuel lines. About what I can think of.
  4. Check your blower resister. May be toast, bypassing all other levels and just going full bore.
  5. Agreed. I'll clarify. On a non facelift Pathfinder. If you have the SE wheels and your springs aren't sagging horrendous. You can fit 31x10. The stock SE size is 265/70R15 which equal 30x10R15. Sent from my Moto X
  6. As for your rust issue. Well, your in the part of the country that salts the roads. You can buy some Ospho and coat it good, then paint it. http://www.ospho.com/directions.htm Works great btw! Exhaust, well unless you get one made out of stainless steel. It will rot away from added salt. No win there. MPG; when was the last time you changed your plugs? Air filter, cleaned TB and MAF. O2 sensors, throwing codes for them? Tires and size. There's quite a few factors. Plus added weight your carrying around, like camping supplies 24/7. If your on a budget and this truck is currently running good otherwise. I'd say keep it. Unless you are constantly doing maintenance. Then if the cost of yearly maintenance is more than the cost of a cheap car payment for something newer and better on MPG. Also account for insurance premium increase.
  7. Karman made one. Its in his build thread. Pretty much just use an adapter to mount a cone filter. The make your own heat shield. On that note. I am going to take a look under the box this weekend. And try to think outside of it. I have a idea. But it may not be exactly off road orientated. Sent from my Moto X
  8. Exhaust: Pretty much has to be custom. Pick a muffler, have it made. Chips: Non existent. Intake: There is a K&N system. But costs close to $300. Easy to clone it yourself. Been done on here many times. Easy to find in search. Suspension wise. Well, everyone one here is pretty much lifted. There is stock replacements, or lift springs. Wheels and tires, completely open to you.
  9. For the price they work. Its like $25 more to add a 2yr warranty on it. I know several people that run these. The relay box. Open it make sure the board is actually screwed tight and the ground is good. Common on them. Also seal it good. Doesn't come sealed from factory. Other than that they work. In long hard pulls. Sometimes will over heat the relays. Let it sit and can continue. I know a guy who had his long enough. He turned it in under warranty for a new. Even though it wasn't broken. No questions asked it was swapped. Paid for the warranty on the new one. It has pulled me out in some binds. May not have that fancy three letter name. But will get you out a bad spot. 10. I have the procedure to check it in the FSM. However if its out if specs. Has anyone had any luck adjusting or cleaning it up to be in specs? Or will I have to replace the whole pump and unit as one? I am referring to my new 2004 LE. When it showed empty and light on. It only took 16 gals. Then after 25 miles on full. Says I used a 1/4 tank. Put gas and barely took over 1gal. So its way off. TIA Sent from my Moto X
  11. Ya I bought my kits back in July or August. Sent from my Moto X
  12. Ok so if you let it warm up it will function normal? Again probably a solenoid. Mine will do that in the morning when cold. Takes either a few to warm truck up or slow to engage then is fine rest of the day Sent from my Moto X
  13. Probably a rock or rocks inside your drum. Pull the wheels and pull the drums off. Clean em up and lube the contact points. Also check the shoes for wear. But with the mud down here it gets inside a lot and I have to clear and clean em Sent from my Moto X
  14. R50 have full time hubs. Always locked. Unless you put manual ones. Sent from my Moto X
  15. If not at all then need a transmission shop to diagnostic it. Probably a solenoid Sent from my Moto X
  16. I did a quick Google on them. Doesn't look good. They used to go by another name Kennasaw something then changed. Most input seems from Tacoma forum and few others. Long wait times even after full payment. 6-8+ months. For that I'd rather mod a XJ bumper or just ARB one. Sent from my Moto X Edit if you're near Shrockworks. They seem to be good. Long leed time also. But they are upfront with it on their website at least. Stating the wait time on one.
  17. Hear ya on that. Asking because sometimes in the mud holes down here the rear will flex hard when trying to keep at least half the truck out of it. Sent from my Moto X
  18. Yup, they havent updated that since 2010 it seems. My POC with them is Ashley. She was able to have them put together the kits to send out to me.
  19. Thanks for the info on how you did in the other thread. Any tips on trying to accomplish something like that? How's the tire rub in rear under flex? I assume front makes it ok as our fronts don't flex much? Sent from my Moto X
  20. I think he was referring to me posting about a old thread. However when the OP chimed in made my post invalid. Sent from my Moto X
  21. Torsen diffs work based of some funky heli coil cut looking gears. Pretty cool if you can understand it. Sent from my Moto X
  22. Did you double check the rack and pinion bushings? I have the AC front bushings. Sent from my Moto X
