shoesandsocks replied to PrecisionX's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
lol yeah its not nearly as time consuming or pain as a bimmer u sholdnt have to replace the drain plug and crush washer every time mine doesn't even have said washer and i dont leak any oil i miss my bimmer days though paying for six and a half quarts of oil for a 2.5 with a 14 dollar filter for a crappy one. Still miss that car. -

Black tail and head lights + wheel spacers
shoesandsocks replied to rig002's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
i dont have spacers but i have black headlights and smoked taillights that i did myself if u have any questions i will help u if u need. I Still have the black headlights i made in my Sig pic if your interested. And if u go to led in the taillights u will have to have some kind of resistor unless u make sure u can get bulbs that have them otherwise u will have faults in your electrical system -
lsd in mine has 230k on it i did a burnout the other and donuts and friction modifier wont that make it slip more instead of grab u do need is but a lil less over years can give some more bite to a diff and make it lock more but will also give it more chatter at least it did with the clutch type lsd in my old supra but if there a torsion then throw everything i said out the window

grew up from a wee bit to a big bit nice lookin man. -
i havent done it but it doesnt look hard nissan like to make ball joint easy its not pressed in its bolted on so just take off the brakes unbolt the spindle from the strut pry the spindle off with a pickle fork and its three bolts unbolt it give a lil whack with the hamer and should pop out thats what i did with my hardbody and looks like the same exact part. hope this helps

well its definatly big

sorry i took so long got the measurements though free hight close up. bottom diameter top diameter and an interesting discovery i but these springs on my older 96 pathfinder cause i feared for age and these were off my 01 no i found that Nissan made two different coils for the front they seem the same dimension but the older one has an extra coil and is much harder to compress and my 96 came with 31x10.5r15 from the factory. so the challenge ice man is to find a spring that has a smaller tang side and a larger square side that's taller and a higher spring rate.
-
Just to bring up a quick fact tang side goes on the top i dont believe it wise to cut from thaat side because it used to help line up the isolator to keep it straight and lined up with the coil spring seat also the tang size is a slightly narrower than the other side so that might be a factor. And its tang and squared? i believe is what moog calls it as it is flat on the top

Anyone running Pennzoil 10w30 High Mileage?
shoesandsocks replied to PrecisionX's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
DO NOT USE A FRAM FILTER NOT A REQUEST U LIKE YOUR PATHFINDER DONT SUBJECT IT TO THAT! now that i got that out of the way purolator is like one of the best and they make filters for bosch and mobil1. Napa gold/Wix filters are also great just not fram cardboard ends with like two pleats on it. And i personally never run penzoil i dont know if its good or bad i just know i love my mobile 1 or royal purple -
