Liberty front spring for front lift?
shoesandsocks replied to shoesandsocks's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
yeah same part number was a completly random find just wondering if like the rough county or procomp springs will work they have awesome spring rates. -
So i was helping a freind with his jeep liberty and we were installing his ome springs to my surprise he was using ome 928 springs for the front he said that ome recomends using the 927 but alot of guys run the 928 because they give a lil extra lift and these are the same springs that are for the ome hd springs for the .5 lift (supossed but most people get more) for the r50 so wondering if there are more options for the front cause everything i see says the liberty front springs should fit our front struts maybe theres a less expensive alternative out there. I wont be trying this because i already have ironman lift springs for the front but i just wanted to throw the idea incase we have someone willing to try i might do it later as i will so have two r50s in my possesion. just a refrence check arb part catalouge. http://www.rocky-road.com/liberty.pdf http://www.rocky-road.com/pathfinder.pdf

look at the front strut of the r50 vs. the r51 there way different. and i know 2in doesn't seem that much but if u look at our pathfinder they don't have that much travel in there struts with 2in lowering u would be experiencing the opposite of what we have when lifting our trucks with 2in lift spring we top out with 2in lowering springs u will bottom out most likely if not your spring rate will be stupid stiff to have to prevent it. anything more than 2in seems like u will have to find a non oe spec strut that can compensate the loss of downward travel properly just my .02 cents

dont r51 coils have a different diameter and coil pigtail than the r50

get some seafoam spray the one wit hte bendy straw (best way i can describe it) and spray it into your intake manifold if it comes out of the engine bay namely the headers u have a leak if it all comes out the exhaust in the back your good thats how i unintentionaly found i had a mani crack in my hardbody. and on your cel light your truck might not throw a code for the before cats 02 for it reading lean especially if your cats are good because it doing its job modulating the car to keep it within acceptable range ie first o2 has reading that helps adjust air and fuel exhaust goes through cats second 02 says this is acceptable range from what first guy says and no code is thrown by the ecu. even though its eating your gas to do it its working properly

there are no special sockets needed only tool sneeded are a 3/8 ratchet various extensions 10mm socket 5/8 socket for the spark plug pliers to take off the hose clamps and a flathead screwdriver to take off the idle air valve. one thing hat the nico club write up didnt mention that the hose that goes to the idle valve has coolant going to it so make sure u have a rag under it when u remove it.

yikes that sucks that happend but it could be alottt worse when i was 15 working at my dads shop we had a customer who had bought us a rx7 that we had a built turbo setup for and a 5.0 mustang swap in and guess who forgot to screw in the hose for oil feed line luckly it had a scatter sheild on it. but i spent the rest of my summer working on meager allowance paying for a t74 turbo

i dont think i have less low end power than a vg at all i have owned a vg powered hardbody 2wd and with a 80k miles vs. my pathys 1/4mile time was about .5 of a second faster with similar reaction times. And one of my goodfriends that has a frontier supercharged barely can beat mine off the line and i always win when we race i just dont think to say that a vq has less low end torque is valid bigger engie more cams more valves ususally equalls more power throughout the entire power low and high just saying
