  1. so i didn't know where else to put this so i thought i would just do it here since it isn't directly and i know theres plenty off hardbody forums but 99 percent there all about going lower which im tryin to do the reverse on truck has been lowered for 3 years. so my question is that i know i can lift my 2wd and i know i can just get shackles add a leaf and do torsion for the front but about a body lift whats all involved and can i even do one cause they all say manuals only and mines an auto was hoping a wd21 guys could shed some light on this for me have only driven uni body cars beside this one thanks in advance guys.
  2. everything on his suspension looks brand new and beautiful i might add i do want to side track but i just think its really cool how the whole community jumped to help a fellow member not a lot forums come together like that
  3. yeah this could be the new rear lift adapter from krypton and a stock wj spring will give about 2.25 of lift if im reading right and will be cheaper than a set of rear lift springs from 4x4parts
  4. this: http://forums.nicoclub.com/premium-vs-regular-fuel-the-answer-t527131.html
  5. didnt know if u saw this but i thought it might help http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/27483-wj-coil-spring-retrofit/
  6. just a though i had while looking at another thread could it be that that the angle of the spacers being straight be the problem i know i doubt it myself as i will soon be running them but i know on subframe spacers they have to be angled to keep within spec could this be an issue.
  7. in theory only one way to try see if any 4x4 shops have any used wj coils they'll give u and mock them in for reference
  8. so i went to a local 4x4 store asked them if they had any used zj coils they did so i measured and got a 4.875 inner diameter ish the lift coils they sell are also the same. our r50 inner diameter is like 4.9 so i would think they would work with the pigtails cut off so i would imagine that a zj lift spring would work for us
  9. take them back i have seen them throw p1320 codes on the vq35 didn't harm anything and cant say that the didn't make it drive worse but i would use a regular Bosch spark plug that u can gap instead just my .02 cents
  10. looking at the springs we have and the diameter i cant think of a single reason why cutting the pigtails wouldnt work
  11. As long as u got something i think it looks better than the standard
  12. i think this is seriously the second time this has been posted this week rocky2 lol
  13. take the intake off to expose the throttle body unbolt the idle air valve and clean it with carb cleaner and q tips to get the carbon buildup out had the same thing happen to me when i seafoamed my truck should be a similar setup to the 3m kit u used i havent had the code come back since and while your at do your spark plugs u lazy bum with the idle air valve outta of the way u have plenty of room i saw what u put on expo now go fourth and be awesome
  14. rick is right my bros zj grand cherokee has like a 8in lift on 35's and i think all he had to do is a steering extension
  15. i know on my buddies evo when the car was in the air with the strut removed the sway bar endlink would keep the spindle from droping all the way down wouldnt that limit the travel down ward?
  16. i have a xentec hid kit off ebay have had it since i bought the pathy my friend has the same kit that i installed going over a year and a half and my hardbody has the same kit for like two years no flickering or problems from any. U can get a blue tinted bulb many manufacters do this instad of hids these days because even though it can limit the light output it is marginal the main thing is that a blue tinted bulb will project a whiter color instead of the more tradional whitish yellow. The best bulb i can recomend would be one from piaa pretty pricey but there bright have hi and low not hid and usually last forever
  17. your mechanic seems like hes stuck in the 70s just wanna let u knowmy sc400 came with a sloted strut hole from the factory this seems like u need to find someone with a bit of a new school approach just my .02 cents
  18. that shouldn't be to hard we get to do quite a bit when were bored at work i could probably take some pics if i get the pathy back on the training course but im usually having too much fun on the bigger stuff
  19. rocky2 i just have on quick quick note the quote u pulled out from the nx4 website is for the middle mount spacers i believe are friend with the extremely sexy rig has a top mount spacer which as i believe would not add to top out issues its like a really small subframe drop spacer it wouldn't extend the stroke of the strut up it would just more of move the whole assembly down right? http://www.nx4industries.com/spacerinfo.html now on the issue of alignment the spacer should affect it but to say sloting the hole is bad has no validity
  20. maximum motorsport coilover strut kit gotta love em rocky whats the strut housing diameter if u have that u can just order a coilover sleeve kit and weld it up with a good spring and your golder or am i off by something.
  21. not to thread jack but i didn't want to split any hairs with the post about the spacers i just kno that the spacers with shipping to the states can be pricey just wanted to help that is all lol fyi your qx4 is more of a pathfinder than mine any day dont know what your sig is about lol
  22. damn i feel bad now i didnt think there would be request for pics do u guys wanna see the actual did cause i probley wont open it up unless it breaks but if u want some of the frontier i guess i can but its bone stock for now except for the hubs.
  23. okay so over the weekend we actually got to try this although not on my pathfinder we were able to do this on my buddies frontier we were really bored at drill and i was talking to him and he was down so we took it up in the air got the diff out welded it and got it back in about a period of 4 hours. He just got manual hubs so i thought it would be best to test on his first. So since i have driven his truck many times i have that it feels alot smoother upon accel with the hubs unlocked but other than that driving around made no difference with the hubs locked u could definitely feel it weighed the truck down a lil bit but not by that much however making a u turn was increased to about two lanes to about three now for the fun part we took it up to our offroad training course where we train in the Humvee we use around base now we took a Humvee my pathy and the frontier and placed them on a decent step grade we all play on(again really bored at work) the Humvee obviously didn't even hesitate and went straight up i got about 3/4 way through which is what i always get before i saw the usual spray of my front tires kicking dirt and digging in. now i always get farther than the frontier we usually equate that to me having a better tire. versus his standard radial. well the frontier got in and with both front wheels moving as one had no slip up the hill and had enough traction to pull it through i was pissed but i was happy he was stoked decided to play in the muddy portions and man that thing was under steer champion but i guess thats the trade off so thats my brief synopsis on the welded front diff not sold on the idea but glad i got to use it.
