  1. Well, I ordered the Powerstop rotors & a set of Hawk LTS pads. I'll let you know how it goes.
  2. Anyone recommend a decent set of rotors for a 1996 SE 4wd auto? Thanks.
  3. Happy birthday all!!! Welcome to the "4 Oh's" pops!
  4. I need to do the wiring harness mod as I'm getting intermittent p0156 & p325 codes, I think it's the ground problem discussed here & before I go buying o2 sensors, etc, I'd like to try this. The links are all broken, does anyone have the TSB &/or photos of where to mount the harness? One post I was reading on another forum the guy said he used the wrong bolt holes & it didn't help with the problem until he used the correct bolt holes on the manifold.
  5. How about these for translation gems, this is the box from my reverse camera that I got the other day............ I'm so glad the camera came with "Transcendency In Focus" & "Art In The Highest Flight"!
  6. An' thems tork wiv a funy accent, don't 'ay!
  7. Ok, you got me with the velour, the lights & the wheels................. I wouldn't buy a "Shaguar!!!".
  8. The stock air intake on a Pathy R50 faces the rear of the car & sits under the driver side front fender at about the level of the top of the wheel arch. Silverton is right, he's been very lucky if he's been going thru water that deep. Most of the time as long as you keep moving at a fast walking pace, the "bow wave" will keep the water from going into the air intake. It's risky though & personally i don't want to even take a chance on a hydraulic-ed engine, hence my poor mans snorkel.
  9. How dare you, you young whippersnapper!  The 80's were the best years of my life, good music, motorbikes, plenty of shagin' & partying, what more could you want???
  10. There are numerous apps for off road nav, I have an iPad app (I use aniPad with a 'Ram Mount' for nav) called "MotionX GPS". You can choose between several topo maps&/or use satellite photo navigation (I use satellite a lot), these can be downloaded so that you can use them without a cell signal. There's also "PDF Maps", "Ovital", "Trail Explorer", "EveryTrail", "View Ranger", "Terrain Navigator Pro" & a host of others. Some are "free" but the're a bit limited in what you can do, most charge a small fee.
  11. Ordered the EBC "yellowstuff" pads. With the black Pro-Comps I'm not worried about brake dust!

haha, i think your biggest enemy is desert dust...

  12. Seems like they're mostly for bikes, but has anyone used 'em on a car? If so, how'd you like them?
  13. "Keep up the desert treks Pop... B" I will son, I will!
  14. I say go with the bumper as B suggests, it's by far the easiest way to go.
  15. No quite sure what you're after, do you want all the original part numbers? Most after market parts places should be able to give you the correct parts if you tell them the year, engine, trim (SE, XE, etc), manual or AT & a couple of other details. If you just want part numbers & prices www.nissanpartszone.com have factory schematics for everything.
  16. Me & Jeff (96Pafinder4x4) went wheelin' in Anza Borrego this week with a group of folks. Really good fun & Jeff has a cool rig!

Bwahahahaha! Looks like I missed out on a good one...

  17. Tires, lift locking hubs. Save the bumpers for later, they are expensive unless you adapt another vehicles bumpers as some of us have done.
  18. I have the AC lift plus your 1" HDPE spacers on the front. As Karman says, they are great! I've already given them a beating on 2 trips & no problem whatsoever! I had the HDPE spacers on when I bent my strut but the spacers weren't affected at all by what was a very nasty blow to the passenger side front wheel assembly.
  19. I have 33x12.5x15 Duratracs on mine with a 2" lift & 3.75 backspacing. They JUST clear the strut by about 1/2".
  20. I don't know what the heck you guys are talking about, what is "frost", "snow" & "Frozen"????
  21. It's probably the ohms, wire for audio speakers is a different resistance to CB I believe. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. My Garmin shows all the well known trails in AB, I use that as a back up & my iPad as my main nav device.
  22. Sure, no problem, Pathy owners always welcome!. We're camping overnight, going to try to make it to the primitive camp ground at the entrance to Fish Creek Wash, off Split Mountain Rd but we'll see how it goes. By about 3pm we'll probably be around Sandstone Canyon or maybe near the "Elephants Knees" in Fish Creek Wash. Do you have Ham radio or CB? P.S. did you get your tires yet?
