Sweet just the answer I was looking for. Having a quick look through a MPFI pathfinder wiring diagram in the EC section i see that some parts labeled "AT" and some "MT" obviously its stating depening on the transmission it might or might not have that circuit but what exactly changes will my pathfinder react different to one with a manual ECU as my pathfinder is manual. Edit: One example is the vehicle speed sensor how would i hook up my one to a ECU from a auto MPFI pathfinder.

Just to make sure, You are using a pathfinder MPFI with a M30 ECU? I live in australia so i don't know about this car much but is it similar to the maxima and can a maxima ecu be used. Also can you just use a pathfinder MPFI ecu for a quicker conversion. Would you say that a z31 300zx ecu is better than a m30 or maxima ecu?

Also As the 300zx (Z31) intake is longer that the pathfinders and would require the firewall to be cut, Would the infinity intake be any better than the pathfinder MPFI?

Alright so I went there today. I didn't get anything for the pathfinder today but i got a rear wiring harness for another car and they guy at the counter didn't bother to reduce it from the $500 store credit thing so i basically got it for free which was pretty cool. Either way it would have been free if it came off the store credit but whatever. Any ways I saw a few pathfinders with MPFI and I had a look at the maxima also and it was a MPFI vg30, They even had a 300zx . As my profile says i have an 89 so its a TBI which i will be removing the intake anyways to solve the coolant leak when i decide to get a 24mm spanner and get the time. Would it be worth getting the MPFI from maybe the pathfinder and putting it into my one? Mine is a manual and the ones they had there are auto.

Thats what I was thinking when I saw the wikipedia article and it says it has the vg30 so maybe there are some better parts I can get from it.

No worries. There are a few australian wreckers on ebay parting out terranos they might not list the switch but im sure if you send them a message they can check it out for you heres one of them Link.

Until I go there I cannot be certain if it has a round or square dash or what year it is but from the picture on their site here you can see that it does have a head light washer on the bull bar and a clear indicator if nunya wants? Is this your last resort because shipping might be abit $$$

Ok so my local junkyard had a contest where you put a pic of your car and whichever wins you get a $500 store credit which I won of coarse because I had a terrano/pathy. Anyways there are some stuff I need to get like a drivers side mirror, muffler, maybe a new dash and some other small stuff. But you have to spend it all in one shot so apart from the stuff im getting what would be good to get. On their site I see they have 1 WD21 Pathfinder, 4 R50's, 3 D21's (Navara) and some others. Is there anything worth getting from one of the other cars like the R50. I don't really want to get a R50 Center console as I may or may not make a custom one later on. Maybe even modifying your park brake so you have 2 park brake levers one for each side. You could have the one in the center console and also add on the hb style one.

This seems like a mistake i would do. Why shouldn't you go use the pressure rating on the side wall to pump up the tire? Doesn't the pressure change for different types of tires or at least use the same pressure all round which is close to the sidewall rating

Wow i didn't really think there were that many black pathfinders.

When you put your foot on the brake pedal does it keep going towards the floor or does it feel spongy. You could try having someone press the pedal whilst you check around the lines, fittings etc. for leaks.

Drop your pan and have a look. Is it dripping any oil?

Better then having to buy an actual code reader which you would have to do on other vehicles but yeh as tungsten said just slide the seat foreward.

If they spin the opposite ways you have an open diff so when it turns in a different direction its basically having infinite slip. Also i herd somewhere that if you have lsd it should be hard to move your wheels unless your lsd is broken. I think its something like 70Ft-lb required to be able to move the wheels but i could be wrong.

You could try and get a machine shop to fabricate a shaft in which one end takes the nissan splines and the other takes the toyota splines
