  1. Thats the exact one that i have! But its not in the catalog?
  2. I'm guessing you had it parked in gear wouldn't it just start and stall.
  3. Ok thanks for that. I wasn't able to see this because my distributor cap screws are seized so ill need to extract them. I knew that the engine firing order was sequential and every wire is in place with the correct port number and plug but the distributor cap had me abit puzzled by the way the numbers were arranged so I though that maybe it had the wrong cap on.
  4. According to the navara d21 service manual (Only manual I could find that had the vg30i engine) it says to use BCP5RES-11(Standard), BCP5RES-11(Hot) or BCP5RES-11(Cold). According to ngk the vg30i engine should be using the 5 heat range and the vg30e should use the 6 heat range. Is this because the vg30e makes slightly more power? If there are three choices for the vg30i engine what difference does it make on which plug i choose. Also it says that the vg30i uses the bcp plugs whereas the vg30e uses the bkr plugs. Both 14mm in thread diameter but it states that "The length from the plug gasket circuit to the terminal contact on parts using International standard (ISO) dimensions is 2.5mm shorter than the japanese standard (JIS) BCP type." Im guessing this means the jap engines have a longer plug? what difference does plug length make.
  5. Thats exactly how my cap is layed out. What i dont get is if the firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6. Then shouldnt it be layed out that way on the distributor cap so it fires in order?. According to an autozone diagram the rotor spins counter clockwise? Wouldnt that make the firing order 1-3-5-4-6-2 or am i missing something? My terrano vg30i has had a missfire since i bought it so i am trying to find out if its that that the wires are in the wrong order or if its something else. The wires are all in the correct place according to the cap but im a little confused about this cap layout
  6. Doesn't look like this has been posted so here it is. Pg 79 starts at the trucks so pathfinders, navaras etc. It gives you the part no. for the nismo part which should help you finding nismo parts for your pathfinder easier! I happen to have a wd21 nismo wing for my terrano that was included with the sale but i cant find it in the catalog? I haven't seen this type of wing posted on the forum either. For example: The cams can be found here(RH Cam) and here (LH Cam) If you have google chrome just highlight the part no. right click on on and click search and it will show you sites on where to get it.
  7. Hey sorry to bring up an old topic but I kinda need help in that area. My 89 terrano has that exact same vacuum nipple that kingman posted. I have the top one going to my aircleaner but where does the side one go to?. Ive been told in another topic that it goes to the back of the cruise control vacuum canister on passenger firewall. I have found nothing relating to the cruise control in the pdf service manual aswell as the service manual for the d21. If someone could snap a picture of where the other end goes to that would be great. I don't have a cruise control cam on my throttle cam so i guess that confirms i don't have cruise control? With this being said I still have that vacuum nipple exposed, Is it meant to hook up to something else if i don't have cruise control or does it just get capped off?
  8. Actually if its not too much trouble would you be able to take a picture of where the cruise control vacuum hose connects to after the hose from the intake manifold because it kinda gets me wondering why it wasn't already capped off or why its there. I'm pretty sure i don't have cruise control but i haven't had a good enough look so i could be wrong.
  9. Thanks for that. I don't have cruise control so ill just cap it off.
  10. Ok so im in the process of hooking up my vacuum hoses again as well as replacing the cracked/brittle ones but theres afew that im stuck on. This first one is one the left of the egr. So I need to see which two hoses attach to those nipples This one is on the right. Im guessing the egr connects right to that nipple? If anyone with a tbi engine could take a photo of their's and show where the vacuum hoses attach to i would really appreciate it.

    Isuzu recall

Yeh I really like the look of those grandroads. It looks similar to the 5th gen Patrol.

    Isuzu recall

Then there's the terrano grandroad which was made up to 2003 iirc. Basically the same vehicle mainly just a different front end
  13. Check if you have allen bolts on your roof racks. When I got my terrano it came with a allen key to tighten those bolts.
  14. Came across this site just before. Its like IMDB but for cars. Here are some images from the site: Pathfinder: http://www.imcdb.org...delInclModel=on Terrano: http://www.imcdb.org...delInclModel=on
  15. We don't have emissions test like you guys in Australia. To register a vehicle all we need is a safety certificate and sometimes a "MOD PLATE" If certain modifications have been done. But I would rather keep my egr for now even if i have to clean it because of petrol prices. I will however block it off in the future.
  16. I know exactly what you mean. There are barely and decent parts for these vehicles in Australia. All the good stuff is in the US which costs a bucket load to post.
  17. For the snorkel your better off build one out of pvc piping to save alot on money. Maybe using some silicone sealant in the joints to help make it more watertight. For your steering have a look at THIS post it may be what you need. From what you've posted it doesnt look like you need an sas to fix your steering issue. The trails in Australia arent as tough as in the US. We don't have much places like moab.
  18. It helps with emissions but it can and has killed engines before (Not any pathfinders that I know of). This was a major problem with the early gu patrols.
  19. On a different engine I installed the belt without one of the idler pulleys. Putting the pulley on after or in this case the tensioner seems to make it more easier to install the belt. For holding the belt on the camgear I just use a binder clip, It helps it skipping a tooth or so whilst its loose.
  20. Sorry to bring up an old topic again but I have just come across something that i'm surprised hasn't been mentioned yet or at least not in this topic. Its called a Torsion Bar Relocator basically the same concept as the picture dowser posted but a much more simple design. Here is a website of one of the manufactures of this kit. It's not for a nissan but you get the idea. Here is a link to a US patent of the product explaining more about the concept. Here is a link the goes through their prototypes.
  21. Replaced? These are still in production that's a 2012 version. At least in Australia anyways
  22. Or one of these Land rover Defenders
