  1. Nah the point was to show that they are compatible. If you find one on a navara for a good price just grab it.
  2. Taken from the 4wdaction "Show us your pathfinder" topic
  3. It looks allot like the 86/87 hardbody 4x4 grill except with a thicker section to house those lamps.
  4. (3 years later) "Ok, So i finally got around to installing my tint" JK. But yeh as mentioned before have a look at afew youtube videos they might cover something you don't already know. Here are two videos on how to do it. (If you have a factory one on) and
  5. After checking on ebay for hardbody hid kits some say the housing is 7x6 and some say its 4x6? I would like to change my grille to a harbody style one later with a hid kit but I thought that they all use the same housing?
  6. I'm thinking i may go that route. Yeh i just found the topic now after doing a quick search but thanks for bringing it to light.
  7. I have a drill but no tapping hardware. Would a distributor from a mpfi vg30e work on my vg30i?
  8. Okay so I was in the process of removing the distributor cap on my 89 terrano vg30i when the screw head stripped. The head was still there but the phillips head part was stripped so I used vice grips to loosen the screws. Not long after the screw head snapped off and that leaves me where I am now. One of them broke flush with the housing and the other left a stud. Is it even worth trying to extract the screws as it seems that the threads are rusted through. How would I go about extracting them as they are very small. Or should i just get a replacement from the wreckers?
  9. Can you remove the panel with the door closed?
  10. Yeh I cant pull up on the lock either, It binds up on something.
  11. Its closed and locked. When it did work there was no binding when opening or closing the door.
  12. How do you open a door that's stuck? My passenger side door wont unlock with the key or the central locking?
  13. They must have made a mistake in the title, If you scroll down you will see And in the nissan catalog it comes under wd21 and says its for the vg30et engine. Even though the wd21 didn't come with the vg30et?
  14. Thats the exact one that i have! But its not in the catalog?
  15. I'm guessing you had it parked in gear wouldn't it just start and stall.
  16. Ok thanks for that. I wasn't able to see this because my distributor cap screws are seized so ill need to extract them. I knew that the engine firing order was sequential and every wire is in place with the correct port number and plug but the distributor cap had me abit puzzled by the way the numbers were arranged so I though that maybe it had the wrong cap on.
  17. According to the navara d21 service manual (Only manual I could find that had the vg30i engine) it says to use BCP5RES-11(Standard), BCP5RES-11(Hot) or BCP5RES-11(Cold). According to ngk the vg30i engine should be using the 5 heat range and the vg30e should use the 6 heat range. Is this because the vg30e makes slightly more power? If there are three choices for the vg30i engine what difference does it make on which plug i choose. Also it says that the vg30i uses the bcp plugs whereas the vg30e uses the bkr plugs. Both 14mm in thread diameter but it states that "The length from the plug gasket circuit to the terminal contact on parts using International standard (ISO) dimensions is 2.5mm shorter than the japanese standard (JIS) BCP type." Im guessing this means the jap engines have a longer plug? what difference does plug length make.
  18. Thats exactly how my cap is layed out. What i dont get is if the firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6. Then shouldnt it be layed out that way on the distributor cap so it fires in order?. According to an autozone diagram the rotor spins counter clockwise? Wouldnt that make the firing order 1-3-5-4-6-2 or am i missing something? My terrano vg30i has had a missfire since i bought it so i am trying to find out if its that that the wires are in the wrong order or if its something else. The wires are all in the correct place according to the cap but im a little confused about this cap layout
  19. Doesn't look like this has been posted so here it is. Pg 79 starts at the trucks so pathfinders, navaras etc. It gives you the part no. for the nismo part which should help you finding nismo parts for your pathfinder easier! I happen to have a wd21 nismo wing for my terrano that was included with the sale but i cant find it in the catalog? I haven't seen this type of wing posted on the forum either. For example: The cams can be found here(RH Cam) and here (LH Cam) If you have google chrome just highlight the part no. right click on on and click search and it will show you sites on where to get it.
  20. Hey sorry to bring up an old topic but I kinda need help in that area. My 89 terrano has that exact same vacuum nipple that kingman posted. I have the top one going to my aircleaner but where does the side one go to?. Ive been told in another topic that it goes to the back of the cruise control vacuum canister on passenger firewall. I have found nothing relating to the cruise control in the pdf service manual aswell as the service manual for the d21. If someone could snap a picture of where the other end goes to that would be great. I don't have a cruise control cam on my throttle cam so i guess that confirms i don't have cruise control? With this being said I still have that vacuum nipple exposed, Is it meant to hook up to something else if i don't have cruise control or does it just get capped off?
  21. Actually if its not too much trouble would you be able to take a picture of where the cruise control vacuum hose connects to after the hose from the intake manifold because it kinda gets me wondering why it wasn't already capped off or why its there. I'm pretty sure i don't have cruise control but i haven't had a good enough look so i could be wrong.
  22. Thanks for that. I don't have cruise control so ill just cap it off.
  23. Ok so im in the process of hooking up my vacuum hoses again as well as replacing the cracked/brittle ones but theres afew that im stuck on. This first one is one the left of the egr. So I need to see which two hoses attach to those nipples This one is on the right. Im guessing the egr connects right to that nipple? If anyone with a tbi engine could take a photo of their's and show where the vacuum hoses attach to i would really appreciate it.
