aww darn different snout lengths huh. I guess ill have to take mine off and compare what is on the motor with both the new ones at a parts store and see which one i have with my luck PO did it weird i would buy a vg33 and he put a vg30 one on and modded it. Thanks for the help guys

I have a vg33 in my 300zx z31 and the water pump is going bad....A forum member has a new vg30 pump for sale cheap and i was wondering if it would fit on the vg33 or ifi should just get a new vg33 pump? Thanks

rockauto.com might have some and u can normally find a 5% off code. They are also normally the cheapest for parts i have seen they seem to have them for like 12 bucks each for the tailgate lift and glass lift so 12x4 plus a small shipping fee. Around 50-55 total i would assume. I like MONROE brand.

i think cuong is right i put a maxima alternator on and it didnt have one of those and it works just fine. Maybe getting your alternator and battery tested to see if one is bad

x2 with the line out converter if your keeping the orginal deck. This is the one i have used on several freinds cars. It also has a remote turn on wire so you dont need to worry about that! All you need is your ground wire, power wire and this converter and your set. make sure u have enough brake fluid in the container and that its not low. Also u can check your brakes and make sure none of them are sticking. The best way to check is to take the caliper off and make sure the slide pins are working. Another thing is see if you can compress the piston and make sure the pads are wearing even on both sides.

its up to you people run schneider cams and those on that z page are used all the time and i never hear anyone complain about them. Its up to you but I think it will be fine.

would a 93 cluster work in a pre 93 or are the connections different?

most people in the z31 world that use these regrinds for perforance dont have any problems with them some even have over 500+ hp on some. Im looking at getting some because i have about 400+ hp(detuned to only 12 psi right now used to be at 18psi) on my stock z31 turbo ones in my v33 in my 300zx. I just threw them out there as another option so ur not paying 500 for a pair

my 93 did the same thing as urs and i did that and it fixed it....my 92 is starting to do it and it does it more when its cold so i would recommend trying it.

well its definantly the passenger side. are u able to see where it starts from looking from the top at all? have you checked your coolant(see ifits getting low too)? it looks like or oil is kind of greenish but might just be the lighting. If its dry all around your valve cover seals then im willing to be the was right with it being a headgasket that is alot of oil there. I have never done a head gasket on my pathfinder before but i bet taking the exhuast bolts off will be the worse part of it.

Hey welcome not a bad little pick up! i like the bumper I think thats the one that can have a winch on it i wish mne was like that! 1 I would check the fuel sending unit and i think its located under the carpet in the rear through a access hole and also some people have has that happen where a voltage unit broke in their dash i think so possibly a new cluster but i would just go to a u pull junk yard and grab both for 5 bucks or whatever those parts cost. 2 For the heat problem i would replace the thermostat(cheap part from auto store). That same thing happened in my old pathfinder and it fixed the problem right away and it fixed the heat gauage not working. 3 Have some under the car when u pull it and see if the cables move? sometime they can just become streched out and ucant tighten them up where they split to the 2 year tires in the back there is a adjuster (its under the car u cant miss it) either that or u could actually havea broke cable. 4 its not to bad to remove the valve covers normally if they are leaking though u can see if they are. check around and see for sure where its leaking. normally if u have a headgasket out the truck will over heat and u will have oil in the coolant so u could flush your coolant see if its full or oil or not. to do that there is a bleeder in the bottom of the radiator. theres normally a enough space in the engine bay where u can see where the oil is coming from.

i can normally get 17 in town and 20 something highway mines a little lower since i have all my roof rack @!*% on top with drag.

you could get nistune and convert it to e85.....my vg33 z31 300zx is running e85 and i have got a little more performance out of it and probably wont get as good as gas milages but its cheaper? idk just a thought. Otherwise get a vg33, headers, better higher flow cat or not cat and a good high flow muffer, a better cold air intake (yes i know not completly clod but you get the point), maybe do a tune up like new spark plugs, wires cap rotor, get the injectors cleaned if dirty. Having the vg33 will make the bigest difference and its bolt in pretty much and will give u a MAJOR increase. I noticed it when i went from a vg30 z31 ( my red one) to my vg33 z31 ( my gray one) it wa sa major increase in power until my turbo kicked in then it was no where close but the bottom end power was way more. You could also look at getting cams also.

yeah it would be nice if they sold the whole rear half of the frame so u just have to cut the bad spot off and weld on the new part. that part they are selling only does one side i know if most pathfinders were like my 93 the top bottom and back also rotted out
