And correction...since I can't edit my original post: I ordered Iron Rock Offroad springs, but ordered them from www.csloffroad.com (make sure to ask for 2 of the SAME color stickers)

ABS sensor repair going on here: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/34459-abs-sensor-repair/ Learned that I have a Load Sensing Valve that needs bled and that I need to disconnect the battery to disable the ABS when bleeding the brakes. (learn something new every day. ) So far, I think the Stop Leak is working on the Main Seal. That's awesomeness. Not sure if I will make a disconnect for the sway bar. Going to travel the road of making my own Missing Link. I had the Pathy up to 75 after the alignment. I have some tire shake, so I need to swing by Discount and get the balance checked. Not too much sway...only at slow speeds, while cornering.

I wouldn't worry about the injectors just yet. Sounds like a spark issue to me. I don't see all 6 injectors going bad at once. Look around the site...I don't have the link, but the manual can be found.

Still awaiting help to bleed the brakes. ABS light is still on, but the brakes go almost to the floor, so I'm still hopeful. After referencing the manual, I didn't know that I had a Load Sensing Valve that needs bled...and that for ABS, I have to disconnect the battery. Will hopefully have an update this weekend.

I have a tool that I like to use...you can get it at Autozone...Spark tester. It looks like a pen and has an inductive circuit with an led. You hold it on the wire and you can see if the plugs are getting fire. I think they're only about $10. Starters burn out...just a fact of life. Do you make short errands? Some people have a habit of starting and shutting off the car frequently (pizza delivery, for example). P.S. It could have just been a faulty solenoid...these days, there aren't too many starters where you can replace just the solenoid...or they just don't sell the replacement.

It's pretty easy to get too. Should be 2 wires and 2 bolts, like most starters. You can take it to your local Autozone/Kragen and they will test it for you. (or at least they used to...call first)

Don't forget to add shipping. My kit with selected add-ons came to $775, but that was about a year ago...your mileage may vary. Add springs (~200, Iron Rock Offroad has the best overall price by about $10, so I went with them) and shocks (2000 F350 2WD KYB gas-adjust for me....don't remember the cost, but I got mine from Amazon w/ free shipping) I primered and then used undercoating spray on mine. You can have them powdercoated. Look at my thread for possible issues. (ABS sensor breakage) No issues with the kit, just self-created ones. I'm going to do the Missing Link too...or a variant of said brace.

Has anyone tried it? During my lift, I stressed the sensor wire a bit too much when the block supporting the LCA fell. Result: Using a dremel tool I removed the stock potting compound, stripped back the sheathing, prepped the wires and the terminals, and soldered them. I'm not certain that it's not polarized, since I couldn't find any information. If it doesn't work, I will try swapping the wires. If it does work, I'll get some potting compound and seal it up nicely.

Thanks guys! I don't have time to get an alignment til Friday. It's just hanging off the rear axle, so I'll try it, since I have both the 2" lift and the SFD now. It fit with the 2" lift, but doesn't reach with the SFD. If I do get too much wobble, I guess I'll look into making some sort of extension and disconnect for offroading. ramdala: Thanks for that link in your signature for the missing link. Going to make one soon! Oh...and that TPMS kit looks nice! Xmas present for myself? 8)

What did you guys do about the lack of reach for the rear swaybar? Extend it? Just eliminate it? More roll on the road?

That drawing may come in handy. I have no way to bend metal, so that drawing may save some $ in design time. I plan to go with just 1/8" steel...with some undercoating spray. Pathy looks good Rick! Nice to see that with the right rims, I will clear the struts with 33s.

The rear was time consuming, but simple. I didn't weld anything...we'll see what needs adjusted and when. Here's how much I cut off the WJ 6.5" lift springs. Everything installed. "Spare parts" OME 2"lift springs and shocks. Anyone local interested? Will be in For Sale section. Final shot! Now need to get some dirt on the tires. Still have a few things to finish up.... alignment (free...3yr deal from Express Tire), cb re-install (new one under warranty), abs line repair/replace, brakes are soft...(rebleed/readjust rear), and reinstall front propellor shaft.

That's a good idea. I already have the Motive bleeder....wonder if I can make the attachment...will try this weekend.

From my understanding, here in Kalifornia, I can't modify the air intake, without a CARB number. Not sure of the grey area there.... I plan to delete the resonator as well....figured I'd lift it to get more working room first.

You can always add the receiver and gussets later. Looking good! Just need to paint with rust converter.

That looks great! I've been quoted $500 for a local shop to make one. projekz: No worries, man....If you put on the SFD, the plastic one no longer fits.

My garage is about as clean as it's going to get....til the Pathy gets out of there. Front is completed. I put on new brake pads since I was in there. Need: new (or fix) passenger abs line new P-side lower balljoint (picklefork ate it...note: you don't need to remove it for the lift) flush & bleed brakelines. As soon as I bleed the brakes, I can pull it out, turn it around, and start on the rear.

I have the "Nissan Pathfinder Model R50 Series" Service Manual and nowhere in the Maintenance section does it state anything about an in-cabin filter. Mine is dated 1995. What year manual has the filter?

Anyone use the Motive Bleeder? I've found on my other cars that it's the easiest and most efficient way to flush my lines. If so, what adapter do you use for your R50? I read that the ford adapter fits, but not sure which one. Adapter is $25....rather buy the adapter than another tool. Can anyone solidify the answer before I order? Thanks!
