  1. So, you use this in conjunction with the external cooler?
  2. I meant to ask him, but I haven't been at my regular place of work, so don't have the explorer link and pw. I think that Rola with extension is well over $200 when it's not on sale.
  3. For the price of a Yakima, I can get a custom built one. I still need to go look at this one. http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/ptd/4094777691.html
  4. How much did the rebuild cost? ....and what is a Magnafine?
  5. As I assumed by "camber" alignment kit. My camber doesn't seem to be a problem. A full alignment checks camber and toe. I have the printouts that say my Pathy is within Nissan specs after the 2" spring lift (had on about a year...3 or 4 alignments....and after the SFD install...only 1 so far.)
  6. I'm wondering about the lighter racks. (Rola, Thule, Curt) My plan is to load it down and mount a pull-out canopy, so I wonder if they're durable enough and will carry the weight.
  7. With the MAF, you have to use a specific type of cleaner....that's why I ask.
  8. You could have made the video longer...now I have to go youtube "Drinks after work" so I can hear the rest of the song.
  9. My buddy swung by and helped me mount my mudflaps. Always helps to have a 2nd set of eyes. Not too shabby, but I'm a bit disappointed that it's just screws through rubber....no metal plate or anything. We'll see how long they stay on. Also, I found out that they don't make a Batman tire cover in size 33", so when I get a new cover I'm going to find a shop that will cut this one and sew it on. My kids call it "The Batmobile".
  10. What, specifically, did you use to clean the TB and MAF?
  11. You sure you need the camber alignment kit? I never installed anything like that on my truck. I've had it aligned a few time since then. I bought the 3 year alignment package, so when I get my oil changed, they check the alignment.
  12. No offroading at all? 2" doesn't give a whole lot of room for wheel travel....
  13. So, was the previous owner selling to you because of multiple problems? Hope you got 'er cheap! I'd replace the cap and rotor, first. Then spring for the $150 distributor if that doesn't clear it up. The distributor issue was on the 99+, if I recall from the threads that I've read. Clean it off and look at the contacts? I'm still leaning toward air/fuel, since it doesn't happen at high rpms.
  14. I'm checking off other minor items...roof rack is on the list, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Local builder here on craigslist that I'm going to check out. I may need to have the tire carrier rebuilt, so might get one built at that time....dunno.
  15. I must have gotten lucky. No spacers here. I have the SFD with springs and I only rub at full turn on the rocker side. The tires rub on the plastic near the back that was behind the mud guards. (fender guard?) I figure it will wear down....eventually.
  16. I disagree. I don't remember the exact numbers, but my OME springs gave me well over 2" of lift. Maybe because I went with stiff upfront and medium in the rear and used OME shocks. They didn't sell stiff rear before, but I would have went with that. My WJ springs can make my truck rock a bit. Especially after a big bump or ditch in the road.
  17. Yep. That's an easy one. I don't have a visual (my pathy near me), but you might be able to just disassemble the drivers side (brakes, shocks, axle, joints, and diff) and support the diff while you swap out the mount. An impact wrench will help speed the disassembly. Just remember to hand-start to insure you don't strip anything. And take it from experience....support your brakes so you don't break your ABS wire.
  18. It's just a brand, like OME. Just googled to find an example and found TJM springs. That's a new one to me. http://www.andysautosport.com/nissan/1996_1999_pathfinder/suspension/lift_kits/lifting_coil_springs/tjm_equipped/ 35mm = 1.38 inches. bleh. Just ensure that when you're buying springs, that they are for a 2" lift....not a 1" lift. Both are available.
  19. Check timing and tune-up. Get some MAF cleaning spray and clean the MAF sensor too. Oh!...and clean one at a time and test. That way you know, if/when it happens again.
  20. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/32349-ordered-my-sfd-today/ About 3/4 down the page is my '96 with 2" spring lift (no spacers) and 31" BFGs. I went with the SFD, because of ground clearance issues...keeping up with Jeeps...I could keep up with them, except for ground clearance limitations. From the 2" lift to the SFD, I only had to change the rear springs and shocks. (sold them here a while back). I kept the front 2" springs and KYBs.
  21. You need a 2 inch lift to fit 31s without rubbing or cutting. It's a spring lift, so you don't need longer front struts. I went with KYBs from other's advice. I like 'em. You will need longer rear shocks for the 2" lift springs. Again, I went with OME rear shocks. I think someone is selling an AC lift in the classifieds... I think this is where I ordered mine. I ordered OME springs. (Old Man Emu) With some time on google you can find other vendors and shop around. http://www.rocky-road.com/pathfindersus.html
  22. Here's a link to another's SFD install. It helped me and is detailed throughout. He drops the diff on the 2nd or 3rd post. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/31584-my-pathy-project-lifting/
  23. I had to drop my front diff to install the SFD. It's not too hard. I'm not sure which mount you are talking about, but it can't be that difficult. Another couple of hands to help hold it up coming down and going back up is certainly helpful.
  24. Yikes.... I'm curious about cost...at 225k...I think I'm just waiting for the trans to fail.
