  1. He's not responding to messaging. I don't want to think anything wrong until I've exhausted any possible outlets to get in touch. Especially over just $8.16 shipping cost. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/user/34486-96se4x4/ Shipped mudguards, tracking shows delivered, haven't received a response since.
  2. View from Tetherball hill...right before sunset. Lovely scenic shot of Salton Sea. Overall, the SFD gave me great ground clearance! I still only rubbed on the front tires at max turn. Other than a harbor freight air pump, I didn't have any broken bits. On-board air will be my next purchase after the power installs are finished. The roof rack worked great and gave me much more room in the cargo area. I need to mount a shovel and pick up a high lift jack also.
  3. Still waiting.... ....waiting... Love the desert views.
  4. Sheriff's toys in Salton Sea, CA Top of the hill. View from atop of the hill. Yep...that's an old Willy's Followed my buddy up this one. Another nice view...waiting on the Jeep.
  5. I think I could have gone further, but with a 5 and 7 year old screaming in the back seat...it's hard to concentrate when you're laughing too hard! The Arch. Gotta love CA. Middle of nowhere...there's a bathroom with a handicap parking space...
  6. My SFD certainly got tested this last weekend. Mild to wild trails out in Ocotillo Wells, CA. A few pics for your viewing pleasure. Group Photo When I stop to take a pic...I realize I'm not in the pic. The times that make me want a Jeep....then I remember that I don't want to pay the $$$ for a Jeep.
  7. I should have posted this a week ago, but I've been busy and a bit absentminded. Anyway...if you've already planned a trip, then...I'll be there. Planning to camp at Holmes Camp.
  8. But then on a 50* morning or night, my kids would hate me. hahah! I do have an external heater that I bought for my baja bug...I'll find a use for it someday.
  9. Thanks! That helps. I was looking behind the glovebox thinking "How the heck???"
  10. Pulled it from somewhere online. It's 2 battery trays welded together. $25 each. I just posted pics of my install...built myself for half that...
  11. I may not be needing mine any longer...will know for sure after my roof rack is hard-mounted.
  12. Where did you go through the firewall to the cabin???
  13. Bought locally. $210. Also...side note...I don't think I'm going to need the 3 low profile bars.... Going to load it and test it this weekend.
  14. I will take more pics in a week or two when I pull everything out to paint it. I also used a piece of flat stock about 2/3 out on the driver side battery for support and drilling into the mount. More to come after my Tmax dual battery system arrives. And the MRV50's might be better to use....I have a piece of rubber as spacers in between the battery caps. I notice the MRV50 batteries do not have caps to interfere with the custom retainer bar.
  15. I used large self tappers. Don't weld the mounts in...a mechanic in the future will be upset that he can't access things.... Be careful to not have it close to things that might vibrate and cut. (metal radiator hose, evap canister?, or cables, wires, etc.) Also...be forewarned....I had to clearance my hood for the wing nuts on the hold downs.
  16. You have to remove this tab for sure....and the mount for the power/ground/whatever (3 plugs). I cut them and left the horn? mount connected. You have to reroute the wires to the above mentioned connections, so they won't interfere with your mounting location. Frame and position the 2 frames. Then weld them.
  17. I chose to go with 2 type 25 batteries....stock size for the 96 R50. Battery from Costco: ~$90 Metal: $20. 1" x 1/16" angle and 1" x 1/16" flat stock. $20...was way too much, but I have other projects planned. (gas can mount, for example) Need: Welder, chop saw/cutting implement, drill, cutoff wheel, hammer, phillips and flat screwdrivers, other various tools and accessories. My measurements for each batter were (roughly) 8.75" x 7". These may change per what you use and how you orient the batteries in the available battery location. I used these photos as an example, but the battery trays are ~$25 each....so I made my own.
  18. I will be taking pics during the install. Looks like the RIGrunner will be here on Monday...the Tmax system on Tuesday. I was hoping to install this weekend, since I have a trip planned for next weekend...so not sure I will even start the install yet. It's dark by the time I get home from work. I will take pics when I build the dual battery tray and take some measurements too. My plan is to use 1" angle iron and some flat stock. The trays, such as the one in the following pic, are $25 each. I figure the metal shouldn't be more than $20 total. Here's the pics that I dragged from the internet a few weeks ago. ...don't remember where I got them.
  19. There's definitely not enough videos of Pathy's with aftermarket exhausts.... There's different levels of Cherry Bombs.
  20. I ordered both the Tmax dual-battery control unit and the USB RIGrunner unit....along with connectors and power wire. Looks like they won't arrive til Monday or Tuesday. I was hoping they would arrive by Friday or Saturday so I could install this weekend. I plan to build my dual battery tray this weekend, so I'll be ready for them.
  21. Yeah...I want a bit of grunt too. All you have to do then is change the muffler. I will have to do a complete catback. To cherry bomb or not to cherry bomb, that is the question.
  22. I thought you already had them. I don't run boots on the rear, but they're cheap KYBs. I figured Bilstien would pack them with....ProComp does...or did last time I ordered from them.
  23. If I was saving $200, I would buy online too. Coming into the holidays, most of the tire shops run pretty good sales. Is there an Express Tire or Evan's Tire near you? I know Evan's here is pretty good. I've bought tires there and had some sort of concentric spacers on a Dodge....they lost them and bought new ones for me.
