  1. Thought I would drop by to update. I received my kit, but since I moved into a Condo, I no longer have the room to install my lift. I'm hoping to get it on in the next couple weeks....hopefully. My buddy has offered up his garage, since I told him it should only take a day. I have to arrange to transport my air compressor, tools, and welder over to his place. I hate condo-life.
  2. Just went to Superstition this past weekend. Anza Borrego last month, with my kids. After my SFD kit is installed, I'll be looking to go to AB or OWells for a run. *Edit* Forgot to mention...I'm in Lakeside, CA.

  4. I haven't even had them a year yet. 4/11. Just don't want the expense of five new tires quite yet... That Chevy looks like it was definitely more than a 6" lift...at least 8" ...and that's not a 2001 body style. Pic is from 2001 "why lift a new truck..." That body style was 88->98. Definitely not "new"
  5. I have 4WD with the Warn Hubs. Recently serviced the trans. (I was pleasantly surprised of the drain plug, btw...) I average 16mpg. Freeways - 70-80mph + city, of course. I also have the heavy front bumper. My BFGs are 30x9.5x15. Tuneup is in the near future....just hit 216k.
  6. Sweet Pathy Timmons! What tension did you go with for the front springs? I got the OME Heavy duty springs up front. Thought I would need them with the TJM bumper. The ride is pretty perfect. They didn't carry a HD spring for the rear. OME only makes a medium. I didn't opt for the extra 2" perch, so I will start with the 6.5" spring, then trim if needed. Oh...and I truly hope my 30" tires don't look like donuts after the install...
  7. Andrew: Is there a tracking number? I moved, so I want to insure that it's on the way and not sitting at the Post Office. Thanks!
  8. That sucks! Almost did the same thing this weekend...slid in the dunes toward a fence...luckily my buddy pulled me out...way close call! Have to reach in there and jimmy the latch....
  9. That's what I think I'll do. It would be nice to install everything at once, while I have the help rounded up and beer-cooler packed. Couple of pics for reference. This thread might turn into my build thread.
  10. Old reply, but for future reference, if you have a HD bumper like mine...DEFINITELY the HD coils! The ride is perfect and great offroad too!
  11. Thanks Rick! It's the Kit plus the package. http://www.krfabs.com/product_detail.php?productID=2 Package Deal (F&R Brakelines, Panhard Drop Bracket, Bolt-on WJ adapters) - Add: $185 Andrew suggested the 5.5" springs, but I don't see them...Rusty's IROR...they all have 2.5, 4.5, and 6.5. I'll check with Off Road Warehouse and 4 Wheel Parts next week. I figure I'll roll the A-holio Cali-lift for a week, or so to measure and make sure. I went with the heavy duty front springs due to the TJM bumper. If I find a deal, I'll go with the 6.5, if not, I'll drive around like this so noone recognizes me!
  12. He suggested 5.5 but i dont see those for sale 3,4,6.5 is all i see. I'm keeping my 2" lift but selling the rear ome shocks.
  13. Rick: So the 6.5" are the way to go with the SFD and OME lift springs? I have about the same front setup as you. I was going to wait to do the front, then measure. Any pics of your Pathy? Thanks!
  14. 2nd that. Amazon. Joined the prime account just for this reason.
  15. Thanks! UPS or FEDEX? If anyone is looking into the 2" Lift, I'll soon have Old Man Emu shocks for sale. 8)
  16. I ordered my SFD from Krypton Fabs today! Looking forward to more ground clearance.
  17. What SFD is that? I'm trying to decide to spend the grand for that or sell and buy a Jeep. :/

  18. very clean installs! Still looking. I know someone stuffed one in that useless area on the bottom....
  19. Always use anti-seize on any plug. Steel or aluminum. Very good advice. ....I'm going to have to look in my R50 for these rumored socket tools.
  20. Definitely fix it. No car payments. If you were closer, I'd offer to help. Take that "car payment" money and put it toward your retirement.
  21. I just ordered and installed: https://www.davesport.com/ 2 N61 NISSAN PATHFINDER R50 TO 1/99 REAR FIRM $84.81 $169.62 2 OME928 NISSAN PATHFINDER FRONT HD COILS $76.78 $153.56 2 OME922 NISSAN PATHFINDER REAR COIL $76.78 $153.56 SUBTOTAL $476.74 SALES TAX $0.00 SHIPPING $41.81 ORDER TOTAL $518.55 For the front, I went with KYB GR2s from Amazon. So far, the ride on the road is nice. Next is new tires and an alignment.
  22. Just need new tires and an alignment! BEFORE AFTER
  23. I'll try to take a couple today. Put on the rear springs/shocks. Having my mechanic put on the struts...I was getting quoted $40-75 to put on the springs, so due to lack of time, it's $175 to do all the work. Picking it up today. Measured the rear...before settling, I gained 3 1/2" of lift! ...granted my old suspension was dead.
  24. Whoohoo!!! Shipping today. Went with OME928's for the front...they were in stock! So far, great customer service as well. He called me this morning to confirm that everything was in stock and will be shipping today!
