  1. Ran the codes.. They're the same ones as before.. So i have new questions.. 23 Idle Switch <- What is this? 45 Injector leak 12 MAF Sensor <- Possibly bad/wiring getting no connection? 34 Knock Sensor 51 Injector Circuit What am i doing wrong? I'm thinking the Idle Switch or MAF may be causing the problem..
  2. Ill try that tomorrow. Thanks for the help..i really appreciate this. I can try the door switches and hood switch..i know the door switches work, because i can open any door individually and the dome light will come on.. and my trunk light coems on when the trunk is open as well.. as for the hood switch, i have no idea if it works, but ill unhook it and try.. Actually, my driver door lock is seized..it wont turn at all.. i think my tumblers collapsed in it.. i have to go to the passenger side to open all doors.. i turn once to unlock just that door, turn twice to unlock all. How could i check my door lock timer? Once again, thanks!! Okay, so i tried some new things today.. I tried putting a stick between the little crown piece and the metal piece on the hood switch, so it would read closed (im guessing it reads as a ground) and i tried making sure all lights were set to DOOR position and none were on.. I tried programming again, and nothing. I also tried programming again with impact set to LOW Still nothing.. The little SECURITY light goes back to flashing rapidly.. I dont think ive ever seen it NOT flash like that unless its when im actually in programming mode. Does it help to mention that my alarm horn is missing? When i bought the truck it wasnt there.. Is the connector to that horn a round plug? Coz i foudn a connector unplugged under-hood and its a little round plug with a prong in the middle..
  3. Yeahhh..scratch that. It's back..any ideas? Will check the codes tomorrow.. It came back on about a mile or so away from home (i went to work today) and went back off on my way back home about a mile or so away from home.. it does seem to have the 'ugh' effect up hills when the CEL is on.. any ideas? Thanks!

  7. Yep, brand new, even had autozone check it.. like i said..it recognizes it, but it doesnt store it.. either that or i dont know how to end the programming sequence properly..
  8. I havent had the smell again..yet. I guess from me constantly turning the key to ON kept turning my fuel pump on..so i'd turn your key to on..atleast 3 times or so n look under the hood for any leaks!
  9. Fixed my fuel smell and CEL..come to find out i forgot to tighten the clamps on them..heh.
  10. Heh..heh.. umm..so. I dont have a MAF code anymore..still had the others. So i gave up on it while my CEL was off and decided to try programming my remote..and..in the process you have to turn the key on.. so.. after a while..i started smelling fuel, ive always smelled it, but i was getting aggravated n thought id mess with something else.. So i look around the injectors..perfectly dry. I look to the front of the injectors, along the fuel rail..and notice this: I run and turn the key to ON and..notice fuel is spitting out of the ends of the line! I tighten up the clamps, turn the key to ON again..and..tada! No more leakage! and..No more CEL codes. So..i think i found my Injector leak code.. and..all of the others coz its actually acting better now..even MORE power under acceleration. Maybe this was my problem?? After all, this ends up being my fault for not checking all my clamps..i was just excited to get it started and running again!
  11. I dont think you can charge it directly from the can, no.. but All the pathy's i've seen take R134a oil, make sure by looking under your hood, but im almost certain yours will be the same. You can probably take it to a shop and ask for a quote on recharging it. You can check this site out for more help: http://www.wikihow.com/Recharge-the-Air-Conditioner-in-a-Car But it depends if you want to buy the recharging kit or not.. Good luck! I'd have it taken to a shop and see if it's leaking or not..

Kk.. i tried with the doors shut.. then tried with the doors shut and locked.. nothing. maybe im doing it wrong.. but i do know that when i push the button, my lights on the inside and outside all come on.. well..for the duration of me holding down the button.. what im doing is.. sitting in back driver seat, driver seat pushed all the way up, turn key ON (not ACC) then to OFF (not ACC) then push and hold the yellow button, wait for the little machine to make tones, then i push the button, and it beeps/squeals when i push it. then i turn key back to ON then OFF and try it out..and nothing happens. ive noticed, my SECURITY light also goes back to flashing really fast after the programming process is over with... but it always does that, even when driving..any ideas? i really want to get this working..

  14. Hmm..well..so far the CEL has stayed off.. since cleaning it and playing with the wires more.. maybe im good now? Maybe it was just dirty..maybe the wiring was just being crap.. I'll find out when it comes back on i guess.. but it was always the same codes listed above. it is acting better now, though.
  15. come to think of it..i dont think it was..it may have been coz i didnt think about it, so ill assume it was..does that make a difference?
  16. so far no vacuum leaks.. but.. i can be driving it for a while and no CEL.. and then another and the CEL be on. It doesnt run any differently with the CEL on.. i took apart the MAF today and cleaned it with MAF cleaner spray.. i cant afford the wiring harness..anywhere i should start? Thanks!
  17. So, now that i have the major problems fixed on my pathy, i want to fix the comfort problems.. So, when i try to program my remote, i turn the kery to ON then OFF and push and hold the yellow button under the drivers seat. The little box makes beeping tones, i push the button, and it beeps for as long as i hold it, and stops when i let off. So i let it keep beeping (also tried turning key back to acc then off and getting out and trying) until it stopped, got out, and tried it. It didnt work. So i have a few questions.. I want to track down the fault in my alarm system..but where? Blown fuse? Blown relay? Where to check? The reason i think its a fault is because my little SECURITY light is flashing all the time, and its always a fast blink. in any position, ON, IMPACT OFF, or OFF Thanks! I'm completely lost. and since my driver side key lock is junk, i have to walk to the passenger side every time just to unlock it.
  18. If you havent foudn it, i recently changed my fuel filter, and it's located just behind the power steering fluid reservoir, which is directly behind the battery. Hope this helps and you get the smell out!!
  19. So, as i noticed when i was backing up, the reflection of teh top row of brake lights are dim..so i put a rock on the brake pedal and checked..my bottom brake lights are bright, but my top row is dim.. is there anyway to make them brighter? Thanks!
  20. yeah, when i rubbed my hand over it, it felt flaky.. its definitely the gasket right under where the hole was on the driver side.. but if its cheap then the next time im in town..well..the bigger town 30 miles away, ill stop by the nissan dealer and see if they have one..
  21. so, i welded over it and painted it so it wouldnt rust.. next Q i drove it home..for a total of 20 miles..and the floorboard got warm, but not hot.. so im guessing a big improvement..and i drove it like i stole it so it would get as hot as possible.. it was hot to the touch, but not so hot it would burn you.. so..looks like ill have to fix the cause of all this.. Where do i get the exhaust gasket? im lost..
  22. Yeah, exhaust gasket is flaky.. so im guessing its bad. anyway, i took a section off a jeep hood and cut off the rust around the hole in my floor and plan on welding that over the hole. any objections?

  24. It's in shop now.. i'll let them know tomorrow n see if i can give some suggestions.. maybe even finish wiring up my speakers while i'm there with them.. Anyway, if you guys are definitely sure its that, i'll let them know to pull the carpet and cover the hole.. but i have a question..even if they cover it, wont that piece they weld over it get extremely hot too?
  25. wow, so it really is as serious as i thought it was.. i had to drive it to work today and its like the problem is getting worse and worse.. ill have to leave it in shop n have them look at it.. Thanks everyone for the ideas! I really appreciate it..
