  1. ?I'm stuck.. i dont have the power antenna btw, but ive tried tons of googling..but they never match up to my wiring (stock, i cut all plugs from their wires) coz i couldnt find a wiring harness for my radio..anyways..anyone have one from a FSM or haynes manual they can share? Thanks! i mean by like scanning the page or so***
  2. had mine for a few months..(dont be a hater! i plan on keeping it for a while. ) i have to admit.. i have learned.. a LOT through this thing.. so far.. as a first vehicle it seems pretty promising.. It's survived me doing my first oil change and changing the oil filter without any leaks.. next ill be doing my first tune up! I've never messed with anything as deeply as i have this..
  3. finally. have the money to get the parts for the pathy..maybe now i'll be able to drive it!

i like it.. but..i dunno. i just thought i'd take your guys' idea. :D

  5. i have to admit.. im loving the steel shiny rims that came with mine..they clean up really nicely. and welcome to NPORA. if you have any questions feel free to ask!
  6. hmm, i'm no expert, but going with a problem with what i had with moms nissan was a vacuum line..maybe check for leaks? make sure all hoses are connected, IAC valve.. intake leak.. that's all i can really think of. Does it do it only when cold? and stop once its warmed up? or all the time? Maybe TPS is acting up..throttle cable sticking.. not really sure, but hope this gives you an idea on where to start. i wish you luck! hopefully someone on here with more know-how will give you better information! one more question: when it pushes forward..does it feel like something 'kicks in'? coz moms nissan does that too, and its the transmission slipping.. but i doubt its that..
  7. have you messed with the idle control switch on the back of the ECU or messed with any throttle cables?
  8. anyone just look at their pathfinder and suddenly feel adventurous? or is that just me..

  9. good point. so..i thought, just for the heck of it, i'd try it on the highway. wow.. like at a certain speed, up a sliiiiight uphill grade, it will kick in and out. so yeah, tuneup is definitely looking good for now. until then, i plan to leave it be, as i should have the money for it in a few days. After that, all i'll need is a battery and it will be good to go! (here's to hoping its not anything else.) but thanks for the support, and i'll let you guys know how it goes after the tuneup.
  10. Nope, it just says: Remocon RMC-105 USE 23A Alkaline Battery it says it can replace the original remote..
  11. glad you mentioned that..wouldnt have even thought that was a changable part..well..without changing out the whole distributor.
  12. Sweet. I'll try it and see if it helps. Thanks! I'll be sure to check out the post.. it sounds good. (and hopefully will help with my problems!)
  13. Over the last few days? Changed fuel filter (took over two hours because the hoses wouldnt come off!) Replaced headlights with brighter ones, along with the fog lights. Cleaned Distributor cap. Checked timing. Fixed headlight relay Replaced battery. Changed Air Filter Changed Oil and Oil Filter Replaced corner light. and still not done!!! Next: New spark plugs and spark plug wires. along with new distributor cap.. and then..i should be done!
  14. Checked the timing belt, and its all good. Cleaned distributor cap, noticed some small brown spots, and scraped them off with a screw driver. It actually made a large improvement, but can still hold it to the floor up the hill and it wont accelerate until you actually reach the top of the hill, then it accelerates at full power (well it pushes you back in the seat)..heh.. but still hhas te missing sound up the hill..so im going to replace all plugs and wires, along with the distributor cap. Also, would you recommend that stuff over Seafoam or..? is it better? Thanks everyone for the help! Also, my engine light hasnt came back on..yet. (since after what i did to it today)
  15. changed fuel filter..one stubborn hose turned a 15 minute job into a 2 hour job..it was stuck on there for some reason..anyways. it runs a lot better, even up the hill, but still has that..missing. sound to it going up a hill/under acceleration..only is does it a little less. i can now accelerate from 15 to 20mph up the hill though. a very noticable improvement..now to find out what ELSE is holding it back, no. i still havent checked the timing belt, but will soon. still, once again im worried my lifters have some part in this.. because like i said everytime it ticks after i let off the revving from 2k to idle, everytime it ticks, the RPM drops a little faster than it should..
  16. oh. that sounds a lot better. i was worried id have to pull every pulley just to get to it. im just going to keep that bit of info handy for if i ever need it. Thanks
  17. no idea..but guess ill have to replace then..soon. ill check into replacing the fuel filter..no doubt. thanks. neighbor said the same thing about the timing belt..but not sure how to check it..dont you have to remove all belts and pulleys?
  18. UPDATE: Unplugged the MAF sensor..and it idles at about 400-500RPM.. it idles just high enough to keep running.. so im guessing MAF sensor may be good? I dunno. it still has no power whatsoever. i take it up the hill and try to keep it at a steady 25mph and have to push it down really hard just to keep just over 20mph..like i said. it idles fine. and ive noticed, every time the lifters tick, the RPM goes down a little faster (like when im in park and revving to 2k RPM, when it ticks at the lower RPM, it causes it to go down a slight bit.) any ideas? maybe it just needs a tuneup..but im trying to see which i need first.. i know i need a battery, ASAP.
  19. hopefully its just the MAF sensor.. I'll check into the MAF ground TSB idea.. Thanks for that! I dontthink the knock sensor is bad.. it acts like its not getting enough fuel or air.. or both.. but thanks for the suggestion.
  20. so many problems with the pathy.. hoping its going to be worth all the trouble..

  21. here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kiews9g0ZQY yeah, that's true..but its being a pain! hopefulyl it will be worth all the time ive had to put in it..along with the time you guys ave given to me with helping it i just downloaded a copy in PDF format.. hopefully it can be useful! NOTICE at the end of the video it just starts sounding horrible..
  22. Bought a remote to go with the pathy for 35$ from ebay from Midwest Wireless? So i shut all doors and lock them (horn is missing from my alarm system for some reason) but the system beeps slowly.. i push my lock button, interior and exterior lights come on for as long as im holding the button and it holds the tone for as long as im holding it. i let go itdoes the prompting beeps.. and.. now i turn the key on then off, get out. push the lock button..and nothing. Any ideas? i straightened up my antenna for it.. Thanks! Im guessing i may have a bad relay/fuse somewhere..
  23. what i would do is reset the codes, by either pulling the negative cable for a few minutes or using the ECU (resetting via ECU would be best, as it wouldnt have to go through the re-learning process..) and see if it comes back, if it does then..someone else may have a better answer than i do..after all i am still a noob-ish.
  24. yeah.. replacing just the ONE injector was a total pain.. as it was under the intake.. REALLY hoping i dont have to go through that again.. but.. if its gonig to help, i'll do it. im uploading a video and will post it to here so you guys can see how it acts.. i didnt get much of how it acts up a hill though. but just how it takes a second to get up to a stable idle.. and the idle, after pushing the gas a bit makes it idle really low.. like i said, will post the video ASAP. I visually inspected, as it was running to see if any of the injectors were leaking, but they all still continued to be dry as can be.. lower intake? if it comes to that i'm pretty sure i'd have to drop it off at a shop..but if its something i can fix (i'm learning! im still in school for this stuff, so i have limited knowledge of most of this.. and FSM.. do you mean Factory Service Manual, by that or something else? coz i dont have a copy of that on hand.. thanks once again!
  25. okay..trying to understand this as best as i can.. my codes are: 23 Idle Switch (what is THIS?!) (does tie into my low idle problem, now that it mentions it) 45 Injector leak (..then again.. i did have to redo an injector.. if its the injector not being properly seated, i think i'm going to cry) 12 Air Flow Meter/Mass Air Flow Sensor (i DO have MAF sensor cleaner.. if that's whats wrong.. 34 Knock Sensor (may be from improperly seated injector plug causing it to think its knocking? (or because of my lifters ticking at idle) 51 Injector Circuit (may be tied into the injector leak, like plug not all the way in, thinking there's a leak?) and from this post, is where i got my info from..running a 1995 nissan pathfinder XE Thanks everyone!
