true, true. ill take it into shop n have the expert welders fix it for me lol coz any time i tried..it was "chicken scratch" the mig welder is fun to use though. i think we have some spare metal anyway..

what do i look for..not sure what it looks like..but it was up toward the front..like under the radio and around the shifter was where it was the hottest..

So, i went on a family trip and had to take the pathy so it could hold everything.. I start getting to the hills and mountain areas and have to push it a little harder.. and about..50 milesaway from home, i smell something burning..but just think its the belts..so i check on them..they arent hot at all. I keep going and it gets worse..and starts smoking really bad in the middle console, around the shifter.. (btw ive noticed i can feel air coming though where the 4X4 shifter is.) but i slow down to the side and it stops, nearly instantly, so i keep on with caution, holding up traffic, and make it to where i need to be.. i look, and where my foot rests, pushed it against a hot spot and actually burned a hole in my carpet! Ill upload a pic. soon.. but..i had no CEL for the whole trip..where do i begin?! my cat or exhaust werent red or anything..and there wasnt any smoke on the outside.. help?! Thanks!!! Just started the process of running new wires to all the speakers..

if its flickering then i dont think your actual bulbs going..and the dim part? along with the dimmer.. try just replacing the dimmer and see if they go brighter.

Okay, so my CEL light has been off for a while..and now its back on, but then again this is my first 40 mile trip with it.. I pulled the codes and have these: 23 Idle Switch 45 Injector leak 12 MAF Sensor 34 Knock Sensor 51 Injector Circuit Any idea where to start?? Im guessing it MAY be the MAF wiring..but i dont know if it would throw that many codes.. The light seems pretty bipolar..it wont always come on.. but it stayed on all day today.. about.. 10 miles from home. Any suggestions where to start? Thanks! I appreciate it!

so it tells the pathy if its a sunny or cloudy day? im still leaning towards auto-headlights..

oh. nahh i wasnt going to mess with it, bit i was thinking some sort of light sensoir for the headlights..but i dont have automatic headlights.. thanks. maybe i need to see if thats whats causing my remote not to remember..

the reason the idle is higher in a neutral gear, like park, is because the engine is spinning freely, as compared to it actually being in D..when its in D it actually has something to slow its idle down.. but if its staying at that high of RPM when its warm. try the SeaFoam idea.. advance auto has it for like 7$ a can. Seafoam can be used for say, bad gas as well, but add some to your oil, before you change it (i dont know how much) so that way all o the dirty stuff wiill end up in your oil pan. also, add some to your gas tank (again, i dont know the amount) so you can clean out your fuel system while you have some. it's good stuff. im still leaning toward something messing with your idle..

yeah..it wont happen again..im tempted to do something to him with all these wires..... luckily i thought ahead and left enough wire so ican reconnect them..

i did mine with it being UNDER the intake plenum and didnt remove it completely..but it definitely makes things easier..but, i dont think with it being there you'll have too many problems.. MAKE SURE you grease the O-rings, both of them. i used dielectric grease..and lots of it. if it doesnt go in easily, add more grease.. just, not enough to clog up the fuel passages.. just be gentle and you should be good. I learned from experience on the injector covers (the little metal caps) arent very tough..so make sure the injector is down all the way and you screw it down evenly.. good luck! any questions feel free to ask. also, make sure it matches your other injectors.. (blue dot or black dot.. mine were blue dots..) or else it may fry your ECU.

i had the 94 harness, for some odd reason, but they had a stock radio with 95 harness plugs..so im wondering if they changed the plugs? i dont know, it looked all stock though, no cut wires. but..i cant get any power to the radio, im sure its something im doing wrong, but..im at a loss, there are too man pink wires that look exactly alike. and only one bluie wire. my wires are: ONE thick ground wire (i made myself, grounded onto body, behind gas pedal) 6 pink wires (2 with blue line rinning through it and one with black line running through it) two light green one dark green two purple wires one blue wire one light gray wire two red wires with light gray dots for a total of: 15 wires. is this correct?

i cut the plugs because i took the plug from the new radio to walmart..and said they didnt have one that would match up to that connector.. it wasnt even on their list, and that id probably be best off cutting the wires to run to the radio wires' plug.. so..i did. those are what i've found on here..but see how it says blue wire..3 times? i only have one blue wire..and it cant act as a hot twice and a ground for the other.. i pulled back the tape to see if there were any wires removed by a previous owner..and they all looked good. i have the same number of wires.. but..the colors dont match up. im completely lost. running new wires..i could never do that.. lol that's a loooot of work..
