  1. You may have the same problem im having! Lift up your driver side wheel, enough to get it off the ground..and try to turn it, and look for any sort of movement.. (like my center link moves up and down 2 inches...when it shouldnt..) Try lifting your passenger side and doing the same thing..turning it and check for any center link or even tie rod movement! You could also check your wheel bearings while you're lifting it..
  2. Nice job on the welding!! Definitely looks better than my welding job on the driver side floor pan.. it turned out looking bad..but..it was my first time..and it works! it just doesnt look the best. mine is starting to rust there, as well, but no where near as bad as that!! atleast you wont have to worry about your passengers going bye-bye on you.
  3. I'm not really a hard-core off-roader..but..tools, cell phone, GPS, water and an extra vehicle are what usually goes with me.. once again, im by no means an extreme off-roader..
  4. yay pathy has teeth :D

  5. Check the oil? Any noticable damage? If its turning over slower check how many volts you have to the battery.. But thats not why it would just quit.. Did you hear a noise when it did this or did it act like it ran out of gas and had no throttle? If the timing belt snapped, or if you even think it snapped, remove the timing belt cover (top half)and visually inspect it, and check to see how tight it is.. hopefully it didnt snap!
  6. Wheeling friday? YEAH!!!

  7. Woot! Try seeing if you can find any sort of LED around that area.. Maybe try flipping the switch when it will start, to see if it acts any different? Most aftermarket systems..well..any that i have seen will have an LED somewhere around the area you're talking about. Of course..do the switch flipping-play when you're home so it doesnt leave you stranded. Let us know how it goes! Good luck!!
  8. This is just my 2 cents..so dont take it seriously..but..have you done anything to the alarm system? New key? Anything? Im thinking if it has somethign to do with the steering wheel, seeing how if you lock the steering wheel, you have to turn the wheel some to get the wheelKEY (heh..i was tired when i wrote this..) to turn..so im thinking the alarm system could be killing the starter..like i said just my two cents..jjust an idea..hope everything goes well
  9. Yeah, i'm supposed to if i can save up enough money..are you supposed to be there?

  10. just recruited 5 people...so far it looks like they'll be joining! :D

  11. I was bazzled about this for YEARS with mothers Quest.. found out about 3 years ago..sure, its nice, but with our pathys' already horrible gas mileage..im sure this doesnt help. but it is fun to use...
  12. In reference to the relay power deal.. I removed the relay and jumped off two relay poles..and the compressor kicked on? The poles i connected together were (with short side facing you) bottom right and top left.. just thought i'd give an idea if this was what you meant by the relay not getting power..
  13. Havent checked for power yet, i have the prongs marked so ill know which to test, i just dont have the money for a multimeter yet, but when i do i will for sure do that. The refridgerant took all my money I did use a pressure gauge, FSM states 25-45PSI I charged it to 30PSI Thanks! I'll post the info i get, may see if advanced has one as a loaner.. Yeah, i wouldnt have thought of that.. I'll see what results i get from a multimeter and post them here.. Thanks! Its another idea im saving.. Er. No? I've been using the FSM for a while, still trying to figure it out, but thats where i got the correct pressures from. The reason i ask here, is after a bit of troubleshooting and i cant figure it out, i ask here in hopes its maybe a common problem. Straight off the battery? Ill take that idea if it turns out im not getting power to the switch.. Thanks!!
  14. Took apart the switch and pried up the prongs and so the switch is always on..tried it, and no luck, so maybe it isnt the switch. All fuses and relays are good. Im supposing for a temporary fix, im just going to run a toggle switch. Though it will likely be a permanent fix.
  15. Jumped it off and it clutches just fine..decided to charge it while it was jumped off and it now blows out ice cold! its just..loud..should i just look into getting a switch?
  16. So, today, i went and spent 40$ for the recharge kit to recharge my A/C.. as it was empty. (no leaks) I charge it to where it says it should be with engine running (45PSI) and turn the fan to 4 (3 because to get to 4 i have to push it over and hold) My AC clutch doesnt kick in, and my A/C light doesnt illuminate. Now, my A/C backlight will come on when the headlights are on, so i know its getting power to the switch..but its questionable to whether or not the switch is good.. any ideas? i checked the Radio/A/C 10A fuse, and it was blown, so i replaced it (could have been my fault when i was in the process of wiring up my radio...heh.) Thanks!
  17. Grammar isnt an issue Yeah, its a stock alarm My driver side key tumblers are frozen..the door locks and unlocks fine though. In the passenger door i turn the key twice to unlock all doors, and thats how i end up getting in.. I tried disconnecting the battery..actually its been doing it since i got it the pathy came with a bad battery.. I looked in the FSM and cant find anything about the alarm system..anyone know what color the siren wires are and where they would be? Thanks guys, i appreciate it!
  18. So after a while of fighting with my alarm system.. Someone today mentioned it could be in Valet mode.. If so, how would i go about getting it out of it? Coz it flashes while parked, or even when driving.. my door switches and door lock timer check out okay, but my alarm siren is gone (someone removed it) any ideas? Thanks I just want my remote to work, as its annoying (but looks good on me!) when i have to walk to the passenger side door to unlock the truck..
  19. Finally found a parts pathy...With everything I need!

  20. That's an idea..but that could be a while since money is short for now.. I guess i'll have to resort to that, since that's all there's really left to do, eh?
  21. So i lied. IT DID FIX ALL MY CODES except for the 12 and 34 MAF and KNOCK sensor.. The engine light doesnt stay on long at all. But the fact that it did, is enough to get me thinking..Another possible bad ground that they share? Im thinking i fxed the ground to the injectors and such. Any ideas where to start now?
  22. Look a little between those.. that's where mine was..it was grounded near the fuel line, coming off the main wiring harness
  23. FINALLY. Fixed my CEL. All because of a bad ground connector... :D

  24. POSSIBLE FIX!!!! So..after looking around the truck...the first 5 minutes i noticed a wire not in its socket..i unplug the connector and..its a ground.. so..i strip the wire off, throw the connector out, ground it, wrap it in electrical tape, start up truck..INSTANTLY CEL goes off. Take it down the road..it acts a little omre powerful and it doesnt "lag" as much. No CEL yet! Maybe thats the ground i was thinking of..
  25. So as soon as i took it down the trails..i lost my CEL. immediately, and didnt get it back for another 250~ miles (the longest its EVER gone).. (took it on the interstate since the first time i had it) sure, i hit around 80mph, easy and it did great. I get home, still no CEL, i have work the next day. I go to leave..and as soon as i pull out, there's my CEL..and it stays on from the trip there and home.. but i did notice something (in relation to my Idle switch code) the pathy DOES idle lower than when the CEL isnt on.. say, when the CEL is on, it idles around..500-550RPM..No CEL and its aronud 750-800 in addition, the pathy is VERY noisy now, im thinking another exhaust leak, and hoping its where i didnt retighten the exhaust after replacing the gasket.. (hoping) I'll pull the codes and retighten the bolts to the exhaust.. Any ideas on the idle switch though? When do you know its bad? Thanks!
