      thats what HE said!

  5. Nice color match. Did you find the factory color code in a spray can?
  6. My experience with the Miata was that every thing was going fine. Then one day I'm shooting down the interstate and noticed the temp sharply go up. I kept my foot off of the gas and it slowly went down. I consulted with my mechanic buddy that suggested I replace the $16 part. He was right. I was $16 poorer ... but happy?
  7. I paid roughly $48 per wheel for my Pro Comp's ("D" window black steelie) a couple of years ago from 4-Wheel Parts.com. I got some tire/wheel package that was on sale IIRC. I down sized from the stock 16" wheel to a 15" for a "less wheel, more rubber" look. The back spacing is 3.75"
  8. That range must be pretty universal. I had the option of going with a 160F or a 180F thermostat for my Miata last year (I went with the 160F).
  9. Look here you annoying $#@! .. they are the same! I kid! I kid! There are some minor changes that do not affect the engine block like the emissions charcoal canister placement but, like bush and beast have already stated, they are interchangeable.
  10. Yeah, how about, "Bye for now"?
  11. Is that a typo? Is that a typo? I didn't think the 3.0 was offered post '95.
  12. I agree with B. I'm kind of in the same predicament with my wife's Honda. I recently replaced the cylinder head with one from a used engine that I just removed, cleaned, and installed. I put several hundred miles on it before the head gasket started leaking. Now I am trying to figure out if I want to have the original head machined, valve job, and pressure tested for $400 .. or .. buy a used motor for a few hundred more. I think going with the lower miliage motor is going to be my best option.
  13. Freeking looked at her @$$ as I pulled in the driveway again. Time to stretch her legs soon. Maybe a trip to the dump Saturday?
  14. Your Pathy is BEAUTIFUL! I'll trade you right now! Oh, and don't worry too much about your English. I think it's better than mine.
  15. I forgot to mention that I also have Warn manual hubs .. The Miata is a '92 NA (original body style). If you get one, do NOT let Nunya find out!
  16. Touché .. *knock on wood* I have not experienced any of the camber, premature CV wear, or any of the negative AC lift "trauma" that has been expressed by other members on this site. At this point, I don't know if I'm lucky or others here have installed their kits incorrectly. I have had my AC spring lift on for two years and the NX4 1" strut spacers for almost as long. I have around 20k+ miles on her since the lift and have wheeled it off-road multiple times with out any complications. Well, my plastic fender trim has taken a beating but, the suspension has held up quite well. I have since removed all the plastics and kind of like the "rugged" look I have with the holes left in my fenders and knobby tires. I'm very content on the ride quality (stiffer, like a truck) and have no intention to add any extra lift. I feel "big" when I park next to stock R50's. I guess I'm suggesting that I feel "content" with my Pathy. However, my daily driver is my Mazda Miata so, take that opinion for what it's worth ..
  17. If you don't have time, money, or help, AC, easy.
  18. Great. I have had my ABS light on for some time now. Mine showed up after a wheeling trip last fall at Uwharrie. My mechanic buddy convinced me that it was just a bad/dirty sensor. How did you diagnose the problem?
  19. Damnit! I posted this on my phone (which does not show member info) and assumed Slartibart had an R50. Now I feel like an ass.
  20. What's this "steering box" you WD21 guys keep speaking of? We R50 guys are more civilized tan that.
  21. Try this. 1) Park your Pathy and pop the hood 2) grab the steering shaft (next to your air box) 3) see if you have any play in it. I say "try this" because the pinion gear in my steering rack was going out. I had some mad play in mine so I replaced mine with a steering rack from a Q I found in our local U-Pull-It. If you don't have any play, I can't help because the extent of my mechanical knowledge is limited to the problems I've had with my vehicles!
