You must have an auto parts store around you somewhere? Most of them provide free code scans so that they can sell you the parts you need.

Town has a good point. If you can find the code (usually free at a big box auto parts store) you could figure out which cylinder has the misfire. Might be as simple as a bad plug wire or a tainted rotor button in the dizzy cap.

Are you sure about the alternator? I know at idle there is not much load on it. Try retesting the voltage with as many power accessories on as possible and give the motor a little rev. Might be worth a recheck. *edit ... The ABS light would come on if it was a loose/dirty/bad sensor. Mine has been on sporadically due to these issues but, like XPLORx4 suggested, I'd still take a look at the brake fluid level to eliminate that possibility.

About twelve or so years ago my wife and I rented a car in Phoenix and took the desert trip to Vegas. We stayed the night in Flagstaff before doing a Jeep tour through some trails in Sedona. That was the exact moment I told her that I was going to buy a 4x4 which, thankfully, turned out to be my Pathfinder. I have dreamed about wheeling there in my own ride ever since. Nice vids man!

Ha! Trusting my instincts saved my interwebs hide. I actually cut the hoses off of my wife's car to remove the intake plenum. When I put my hands on the donor motor, I broke the seal ( ) by twisting the hoses clockwise/anti-clockwise before pulling on them. They came off surprisingly easy.

Sensory overload. I want to run with this but, my two "targets" are moderators and can possibly ban me.

I find that if you take channel locks and put a little wiggle on the stubborn hose it will break loose pretty easily. I went through the "hose won't budge" issue with my wife's Honda when I changed out the cylinder head on that POS.
