  1. Well the last 2 vg33s and 1 vg30 tbelt services I used napa gates belts and they were all marked. I've used gates for years and they last just as well or better than oem. Definitely double check though, just open the box and make sure the marks are there. It makes things so much more quick and easy.
  2. Count the teeth. Also, napa carries gates timing belts as their house brand and they come with Alignment marks on the belt. I have had very good experiences with gates belts/timing belts
  3. You don't run the vehicle to test resistance, you do it with the vehicle off. If you are handy, you can remove the distributor cap and gear and use long tools to get at the inside injectors. 1, 2, 3, 5 are easy, just 4 and 6 are a pain but with the distributor removed, they are possible, to test. If you need to replace injectors 4 or 6, the plenum needs to come off.
  4. That truck is going to last forever now!!! I feel myself becoming envious....I think I must do this too......! Don't worry the colour scheme is yours, I'll just leave mine black! Might I enquire as to the approximate cost for supplies for this project?
  5. Take it slow, crawl your way around and you should be okay. It's when you start charging around at speed that you will break steering components. You will wear them out faster than usual but you shouldnt break anything if you take it slow. I would still bring an extra idler arm, center link, and tie rods tho as spares...even junkyard ones just so u can still get it back home/ to the trailer
  6. I prefer 15" so there's more rubber, less rim. Better to air down and get max grip. Unless its just for looks....
  7. Ngk wires are better than oem. Better and stronger jackets and thicker core strands. I would get the ngk wires...
  8. I run 15x10 steel rims with 33x12.5 duratracs on my 93 pathy. Not sure the rim offset but its VERY negative. Tires stick out past fender flares a few inches. I have 3-4" suspension lift and 3" body lift and I also did a lot of trimming up front as well as cut, move back and weld the pinch seam behind the front tire so that I can turn my wheels fully with the "small tire package" steering stops . I can crank the wheels fully with no rubbing.
  9. I would run some redline s1 fuel system treatment or run some seafoam in the gas for a tank before replacing if it runs well most of the time. I've had really good luck with both products. Also make sure to inspect the wiring and connectors first before replacing components.. Always best to eliminate the free options before moving to the replacement stage. Ohm test the injectors they should read between 10-13 ohms and in my experience healthy pathfinder injectors read 12 ohm.
  10. I use Ford f250 shocks in the rear. They are 14" compressed and 25" extended.3" longer than stock droop. I run JGC coils with straightened pigtails and made e brake cable drop brackets. With these mods done it works great. I have awesome rear flex and no issues with brake lines. The e brake cable is the only thing that gets caught up and its easily fixed with some drop brackets. I have 4" suspension and 3" body lift on my truck.
  11. Yeah doesn't make much sense hey?? All lights should be relayed...lol. Yeah my 240 is my baby . Had it for about 7 years now. I'll throw some pics up somewhere of that build. I also have a 1990 300zx hardtop that I got cheap with a smashed front end that I completely rebuilt back to stock. Too many projects! Our driveway as of now is; 1990 300zx hardtop, 1991 240sx super hicas (4wheel steering), 1993 pathfinder xe vg33 swapped, and my girlfriends 1993 pathfinder se almost complete vg33e swap. Think we like Nissan? I should get some pics of our Nissan family. Lol
  12. No I didn't, but I did see Mr510 did that on his build. I was going to urethane inject the mounts and fill in the dead space to make them near solid mounts. I did it on my 240sx mounts and it has worked great for over a year now and makes them much stronger. I use 3m window weld. It's great stuff... quick dry polyurethane in a caulk tube which makes it easy to use as well.
  13. No, when I said the top is the outlet I mean the top line is the outlet from the engine. the engine coolant temp is measured as it leaves the block . That's why your coolant temp sensor is in the top pipe. Coolant flows down the rad.
  14. That is the outlet.. you just crack the coolant bleeder and fill it up from the rad...its one of the easiest coolant systems I've ever filled. I'm appalled when I work on vehicles and there's no coolant bleed bolt!
  15. Pulled my girls old vg30 yesterday and found a broken engine mount...trip to Pickapart and some cut hands later and we got a replacement for 10$. Modified (with a hammer), painted and installed the vg30 oil pan on the vg33 and now it is 100% complete. Also pulled transmission seal cover and cleaned and replaced front transmission seal. Just need a new clutch fork boot since the old one tore and to assemble the clutch the new engine is ready to go in.
  16. Check tie rods , center link, idler arm and balljoints for play, replace any loose components and then take it for a front end Alignment.
  17. Vg30 is pulled, vg33 is finished. Just need to wait until the gf finishes cleaning the engine bay and the new beast is going in
  18. Just finished dropping the front diff for my ladys 3.3 swap. New engine is fully assembled. Nearly complete now!!
  19. It's super easy to pull front JGC springs...only takes 15 min once the vehicle is off the ground. Just let the front axle drop by lifting up the frame. Then u unbolt the lower shock bolts, the sway bar end links, and the lower spring lock clip. Very very simple
  20. Solder in a new diagnostics selector. It's just a rheostat, u could also use a potentiometer and just use 2 of the 3 wires.. if u have your stock ecu you could ohm test the pot/rheo and just use one with a close value
  21. Vg33 swap with intake, headers, exhaust, cams, and soon to be tune works in my 93 pathy.2 more days to finish the swap in my gfs 93 pathy now too. It's a solid choice and I plan to turbo soon for 350 lb ft. The drivetrain is bulletproof even at much higher than stock power levels
  22. I did the swap myself and I'm currently doing it on my girlfriends truck again now. It really transforms a wd21 into what I think it always should have been. Anyways I would help ya but I'm sure you live pretty far away (on mobile, cant see location)
