  1. Takes a Philips screwdriver. Take it off yourself, clean it up and see if it doesn't work better.
  2. It'll be relatively close, I think. You can leave some stuff off like the ABS sensors.
  3. Check other things first. Exhaust, swaybar endlinks, axle control arms, all those things can make a "clunk" if they're loose or worn out. The clutch is probably not a candidate for drivetrain slop, sorry. On that note, once I bought a car for $150...the owner says to me, "It has a bad rear wheel bearing, when you go around a corner it clunks and squeals REAL bad, it's almost undriveable." I got under there, looked and it was the muffler clunking side to side and rubbing on the tire. One coat hanger and the problem was fixed...and I had a car to drive for $150. Also, it's "yoke".
  4. It needs to be a Nissan one. They sell on Ebay all the time, take a look there.
  5. Besides that, how do you sell $50 worth of steel for $385? Jeez, that's a high hourly welding rate.
  6. Sounds good to me. The ones on the TC on my wrecked 89 are Loctited on and I can't break them loose for nothin'. No room for breaker bars when the engine's still in the vehicle.
  7. What for? Then it'd be pointing down towards the frame and it wouldn't be very good for support. It'd probably put more pressure on the bushings and wear them out faster.
  8. I have an idea, sell the polys to me for cheap and use the rubber ones!
  9. All I gotta say is that I'd much rather have the shackle mounts welded than bolted like that. They're gonna take some serious stress pulling people out and two bolts probably won't cut the mustard safety-wise.
  10. I wouldn't say it's impossible, but it will be a PITA to get it all swapped out. Everything from the 95 vehicle will have to match for it all to work right.
  11. I call bull@!*%. Get a second opinion from an unbiased mechanic. NOT PEP BOYS.
  12. Pinched nerves suck. I had one a while ago where I couldn't lean right, but I could twist and lean left OK. Bending down was a fun one, too.
  13. It's probably just unhooked at the shifter.
  14. AC has a line on the rear axle control arm bushings, Energy suspension makes bumpstops in most any size you need as well as UCA/LCA bushings, swaybar endlink bushings and tension rod bushings. Martin: which ones could you find that were poly?
  15. I hammered on mine with a drift and still couldn't get the locking ring loose. Maybe it's a hit-or-miss kinda thing... A Chevy 1/2 ton wheel bearing locknut socket will work if you grind two tabs off it and bend the other two in slightly. I may be wrong about the 1/2 ton part, but other people have used that sort of tool with success, including a brake and suspension guy on the AC BBS.
  16. It's not just you. Every bushing I've changed has fought me tooth and nail, pretty much.
  17. Not worth the effort IMHO. I was thinking hard about the same idea earlier as well. Way too many parts to buy/procure and swap over. Plus, there's no shifter hole in the floor and it's a BIG hole. But hey, if you have the time money and patience, feel free.
  18. Eesh, and you're pressed for time? It's not a simple/small project...you have to take off the t-belt cover, etc to get the new WP on.
  19. Most of the time it's either a loose connection on the back of the gauges or the tach has gone south on you. If you can find another dash gauge set they're swappable.
  20. So...does it start when you want it to, or do you have to wait 3-4 minutes every day to start it?
  21. Check your fuel pump relay, it's under the hood on the passenger's side inside the relay box. It should come on the second you turn the key.

    shocks

No, that means that it is a replacement for a stock SS. If you HAVE one already and need a replacement, that's what you'd get. If you don't have one(most do not), you need a shock AND the new mounting brackets. The difference between the RC and Rancho shocks is minimal. They both do the same job, unless you're looking at adjustability features like on the Rancho RS9000X's.
  23. Escuse me? Where does it go? It stays put. The stabilizer bolts to it. Are you talking about the pitman arm on the driver's side?
  24. You can't get parts in the US either.
