  1. From the base 94 FSM, it goes, (passenger side rear) AT computer, rear amp, front amp. On the other side is the ASCD (cruise control computer) and door lock timer. I dunno which extra part from the front you have there, did your Pathy have the 8-speaker system? It may be a crossover network or something, I didn't dig too far into the schematics.
  2. There's no room to add another one, then. Sorry.
  3. Replace the starter relay? Swap it with another one if you can.
  4. Check the brakes first. Assume nothing until you look.
  5. Installing gears is the only way to do that and they run about $500 per axle for new ones. You could also look for a wrecked '00-0? Xterra with the 4.9 gears and just swap diffs if they match closely enough...though I bet it'd cost nearly that much to buy diffs out of a X anyway.
  6. Why do you want an EGT gauge? You can get generic Autometer (or APC) pillar gauge pods and trim them to fit, they're not too cheap, though.
  7. The relay wire might be wired up wrong, I dunno. If it has 12V going to the starter fulltime, that's not right. You can test the starter with a $5 starter bump switch from Harbor Freight, just hook one clip to the battery cable on the starter and the other to the solenoid wire. Hit the button, if it cranks then the starter's good...or you could just try jumping the terminals with a short piece of wire, same thing. Just touch one end to the battery cable, the other to the solenoid terminal.
  8. 'Snot a good idea to put a fuel tank INSIDE the vehicle. I think it'd be slightly dangerous in an accident. I wouldn't want to get sprayed with gas as the truck rolls off the road after getting rear-ended by someone.
  9. If you have AC, remove the AC and put one in up there. Or just plain run a 200 amp alternator...
  10. Mmyep. The cig lighter deal is a good one if you don't want to mount anything or run wires. I'd probably just get another one.
  11. JUMP ON IT! If you can, that is. Heh. That engine would sell for a LOT more at a junkyard, and with low mileage too? What a sweet deal!
  12. Fuel cells are more compact, generally speaking, but that's also cause they don't usually hold 21 gallons like the stock tank does. I think you'd have to go to an external pump is all. Get one that runs about 45 psi and the stock fuel pressure regulator should work exactly the same as it does with the stock pump.
  13. I don't think so. If they get fuel pressure, they should self-bleed by running.

    Just bought

Change the trans fluid and see if that helps. Other than that, a mystery clunk is impossible to diagnose over the internet, sorry. You're going to have to get under there and move things around yourself to see if anything has more play than it should in it. Lay under the back bumper and do some bench presses, bounce it up-and-down and watch all the rear end parts to see if anything's loose or disconnected.
  15. Shoot, if it'll cool a 3.8 V6, it should be good enough to cool a 3.0.
  16. The fuel pump is the likely culprit on this one. Running the tank dry will overheat the pump and often kill it. It's fairly easy to check for pressure by pulling the fuel filter output hose, hooking up a longer hose and sticking it into a gas can, then turn the key on. If it spews gas pretty forcefully into the can, then maybe that's not it. If it trickles or comes out slowly, I bet the pump took too much heat.
  17. Yeah...do the signal lights work if you turn on the hazard switch?
  18. B, you DARE disrespect the ziptie?!? How rude! BTW, need any? I have a box full of bags of 14" zipties from work...
  19. Jeez, Max...you beat up that poor caR50 enough yet? How heavy is that front bumper, anyway? It looks huge!
  20. My 88 FSM says GL-4 for the manual trans and t-case. The 95 FSM says ATF3 or Dexron II. I'd say they simply changed the lube requirements between 92 and 93 or so. I don't think the t-case design changed at all until like...97 or 99?
  21. Best filters: Mobil 1 WIX NAPA Silver or Gold series (or equivalent, I think they changed their filter line names) AC Delco Purolator
  22. A junkyard Ford Taurus fan pulls about 3500 CFM on high speed. Mine cost $25.
