  1. Get the whole thing if you can...then you're not missing anything.
  2. If your key won't turn in the lock it may just lubing. In the R50 the lock is an electrical switch just like on the arm rest inside. On sisters truck it was the part that they connects to, an electrical thingy connected to the machanical thingy the operates the rods for the inner and out door handles and the door latch. I think there are 5 rods with the pivot points lots of wire plugs and about 20 bolts and screws. There are acouple of metal plates I took out to try to fit my hands in there. Best thing is to have small hands and very long fingers.
  3. Have you fixed your door locks yet? I swapped some parts from my old truck to my sisters truck to get hers working. We were surprized by every thing in there. On a R50 the key lock is just an electric switch...no mechanical connection at all to the door lock. You should be able to get a panel removal tool at any auto store for ten bucks.
  4. I keep expecting him to pop up and yell "DRINK !"
  5. I don't see a downside. The pipe is 1.75 " O.D. A 1.75" I.D pipe and a couple of muffler clamps can adjust your pipe length.
  6. Try the search for "sunroof drain" in the forums. It seems a common problem..
  7. On my old Pathfinder there where one or two of the flat braided copper ground wires that were originally hooked to the heat sheilds. It ran great with out them. I did hook them up again though.
  8. I did HAVE to use my 4 wheel drive today...the truck has been in the back yard since Sunday {family Christmas}. It was parked on grass in 60 degree temps since last Saturday when it snowed, then ice, then snow hit before more ice. I'd just put on my Warn hubs before the storms and now I'm sure everything works perfect. I tried to see if things would lock up properly in 4X4 on gravel but all I did was hurt my neck. Nice to have some ice to remind me why I love my Warn hubs. Same hubs... 2nd Pathfinder.
  9. Like he said...way too trouble shoot!
  10. Today I pulled the Warn hubs off my old '98 and the stock hubs from my "new" '03. Then put the Warns on the'03. I could not belive how fast it happend. Everything works perfect on the short drive. I'm looking forward to the long term.

CND I think it's funny that you have a 47 page build site and you are still asked what you have done! Way to help out. Any info might help some one out.
  12. I hear you, why fix it if it's still working!
  13. I'm not sure about shock length but since they are over 15 years old, why not put some good ones in there with the new coils. I'm guessing rears...the fronts are struts.
  14. How about (1) find the hole the mice come in and (2) plug that hole. Hint...they normaly climb a tire to get in.
  15. I just swapped my 245/70/16's for my old trucks 31X10.5/15's. You can't go taller than 31" without either spacers or a differant offset rim. Even with a lift you can't go taller than 31" without the spacer or more than 3.75 offset when you might need to alter your fender lip.
  16. You can get marine battery cable terminals with a built in on/off switch. Even if some one breaks in and hot wires or gets past the steering lock they will still have to get the hood open, fiind the switch and repete.
  17. I leave my Rottweiler (Zarra) in the back with the windows open. I've had no problems so far. The doors are unlocked and the keys are on the console.
  18. I agree, I got a 40" X 6 foot air mattress for mine. Fits perfect fit with the seat bottoms removed.
  19. I just found your post...I'll check out the headlights tomorrow, but both truck are autos.
  20. I still don't understand why it would be stuck. It should be hanging in open space in the pan unless they pinched it up somewhere.
  21. My '96 had one of those switches that did nothing. I thought it was either for and optional under hood light or a "door ajar (if hood isn't closed)dash light" that was not installed.
  22. A 3.3 takes 3-7/8 qt (US) with an oil filter change and 3-5/8 without. Just wondering why you replaced the pan and why is the stick stuck? Did they kink off the tube or is it a different pan?
